Charles Linsey, 30, of Brick Lane, Mepal near Ely, tracked his wife through her phone, tracking devices, and cameras installed in their home, forcing her to spend most of her time confined to one room to avoid being tracked. His obsession began in 2022, initially with her agreement to a phone tracker, but escalated to deleting her social media contacts, keeping lists of her passwords and visits, logging into her devices, viewing photos and messages, installing a car tracker, and using home cameras to monitor her constantly. When she tried to turn cameras away, he threatened to report her for criminal damage. She moved out in April 2024, but he continued hacking her WhatsApp, watching her over the fence, and in May 2024, became angry seeing a friend at her home, banging on the door, shouting abuse, and scratching the friend's car. Later that night, he appeared outside shouting for her and started abusive messages and calls. He remotely accessed and deleted evidence she had gathered for a non-molestation order. Upon arrest, police found a firearm, knives, and notes on hacking and coding at his home.
Pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm, engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour in an intimate/family relationship and criminal damage. Handed an indefinite restraining order.

Stefan Hague, 33, of Hyde, Greater Manchester, barged through the door at the victim’s Peterborough home and refused to leave. He locked the door and launched a brutal attack on the woman, punching and kicking her as she lay on the floor, stamping on her head and body repeatedly, before raping her. The victim’s screams were heard on neighbouring video doorbells, leading to police being called. Hague fled the scene just three minutes before officers arrived. Police found the victim hunched over, covered in blood, with blood-soaked hair and extensive swelling to her face. She was taken to hospital. A manhunt led to Hague being located at an address in Greater Manchester, still covered in the victim’s blood, where he repeatedly declared 'I’m guilty, I’m guilty' upon arrest.
Pleaded guilty to rape, attempt to rape, grievous bodily harm with intent, and failing to comply with the sex offenders register. Described as an extremely dangerous individual, especially towards women.

On January 29, 2024, Steven Holland, 54, attacked a 50-year-old man at a property off Tenison Road, Cambridge. The victim had visited to find his friend but was immediately assaulted. CCTV footage captured Holland repeatedly hitting, kicking, and stabbing the victim. After the initial assault, Holland dragged the victim into a walkway, returned home, and then continued the attack despite the victim trying to walk away. The victim suffered a broken nose, two black eyes, a neck wound, knife wounds to his face, broken ribs, and bruising to his body. He received treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Pleaded guilty to wounding with intent. Described as a sustained and violent attack leaving the victim with serious injuries.

Thomas Verdicchio, 24, of Seathwaite, Huntingdon, was arrested in October 2024 following a referral from British Gymnastics. Officers recovered his mobile phone, iPad, and laptop, which contained two category B videos and 15 category C photographs. Some images were digitally manipulated using “deep fake” technology to superimpose a child’s head onto a nude body. He was fully aware his actions were wrong and betrayed the trust placed in him by the community. He poses a serious threat to children, and had he not been caught, his crimes could have escalated into contact offences.
Pleaded guilty to four counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children. Handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years and must register with the police for the same period. Former gymnastics coach with no association to Huntingdon Gymnastics Club.

On Thursday 5 October 2023, just before 11am, Frank Lane, 47, of Church Lane in Bedford, entered Bedford Railway Depot through a pedestrian gate carrying an angle grinder, clearly visible to the depot’s CCTV cameras. He approached the cable storage area, selected a roll drum of cable valued at approximately £2,000, used the angle grinder to cut it free, rolled it down the street, and loaded it into the back of a nearby white van with a false registration plate before driving away. Officers viewed CCTV footage, obtained a clear image of Lane, leading to his arrest in February 2024. He was bailed before being formally charged in May 2024.

Gvidas Kairiukstis, 20, was arrested on January 13, 2024, after officers pursued another man who smelt strongly of cannabis in Branston Rise, Welland, Peterborough. The man ran to a Vauxhall Insignia in Cropston Road where Kairiukstis was sitting in the driver’s seat and a woman was in the back. Officers searched the car and found cannabis worth up to £1,190, multiple mobile phones, and more than £2,000 in cash. Analysis of his phone revealed a social media profile where he openly advertised the sale of ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, including a menu with prices, and messages about drug dealing and distribution using Royal Mail.
Admitted to possession with intent to supply cannabis, as well as being concerned in the supply of ecstasy, cocaine and ketamine.

Lee White, 52, of Granby Street, Littleport, sent 109 emails to Labour MP Rosena Allin-Khan between August 29 and September 1, 2024, containing racial abuse and threats to kill Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and cabinet ministers. He claimed in interview that he sent them after an aggravated burglary at a relative’s house was 'covered up' and because he was 'bored'. He was arrested on September 4, 2024. While on bail, between November 24 and 26, 2024, he sent messages to his probation officer threatening to kill everyone in the probation office with grenades and guns, and to make Parkside Police Station in Cambridge explode. He was arrested again on November 28, 2024, and remained silent in interview.
Pleaded guilty to sending communication threatening death or serious harm, harassment without violence, sending a letter/communication/article conveying an indecent/offensive message, and sending false communication with intent to cause harm (no separate penalty for the latter). DC James Lewis described the messages as deeply unpleasant and disgraceful.

James Brooking, 30, of Upwood Road, Ramsey, contacted what he believed was a 14-year-old boy on the adult social media platform Fabguys on 3 July. The 'boy' was an undercover police officer. He asked for the decoy's mobile number, exchanged numbers, requested indecent photographs, turned the conversation sexual, expressed desire to see the decoy in school uniform, sent explicit images of himself, and attempted to arrange a meeting. The contact ended on 10 July, and he was arrested four days later at an address where a child was present, breaching notification requirements by not disclosing the address or his online username.
Pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child, causing a child to watch sexual activity, arranging to commit a child sex offence, and four counts of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements. Judge Andrew Hurst described Brooking’s behaviour as “highly sexualised” and evidence that he was “out of control” and had “learnt nothing” from his past crimes. Previously convicted of child sex offences in 2014.

Thomas Howden, 36, of no fixed address, burgled offices at New England House in Lincoln Road, Peterborough. He first broke in at about 1.40am on Monday, 14 April, trying doors inside and entering two offices but stealing nothing. Later that evening, he broke into two more offices and stole a bag of property. He returned a third time on Tuesday, 7 May, breaking a door but stealing nothing, and was arrested later that day. The break-ins caused disruption to the businesses.

Jamie Boughen

Life imprisonment with minimum term of 22 years
Jamie Boughen, 48, murdered 47-year-old Eliza Bibby at her home in Beechwood Road, Wisbech, on 9 January 2024, by fatally stabbing her multiple times in the neck with a knife. She was found lying on the kitchen floor in a pool of her own blood by a friend at about 6am the following day. Boughen disposed of the knife on a garage roof in nearby Beechwood Close, where it was recovered by police with the victim's blood on the blade and his DNA on the handle. The blade matched the wounds. CCTV from his home in Waterlees Road showed him leaving at 10.41pm and returning at 11.04pm, after which he washed his clothes with bleach and scrubbed under his fingernails. He was arrested on 9 March 2024. In court, he claimed he routinely bought drugs from Bibby, found the door ajar, picked up the knife, discovered her body, panicked, and threw the knife away.
Found guilty by unanimous jury verdict after less than three hours of deliberation. Maintained innocence in interview and claimed he found the body and panicked, but jury disagreed.
Maris Sliksans

Hospital order under section 37 of the Mental Health Act with section 41 restriction
Maris Sliksans, 33, of Hallaton Road, Peterborough, targeted the woman as she walked near to the Welland Skate Park in the city, at about 9.15pm on 11 September 2023. Sliksans threw his arms around her from behind, and as she turned, she realised he was holding a knife to her neck. He led her to some bushes at knifepoint and demanded she have sex with him. Despite trying to reason with him, Sliksans wrestled her to the floor, snatched her phone from her hand and tried to rape her. She screamed and managed to fight Sliksans off by kicking him in the groin. But he punched her in the face and head several times before running off. The traumatised woman grabbed as many of her belongings as she could before fleeing the scene, where officers later found the knife which was matched to Sliksans’ DNA.
Admitted to attempted rape, actual bodily harm (ABH) and threatening a person with a blade at a previous hearing in August. Will be held on a hospital psychiatric ward indefinitely unless discharged by the Ministry of Justice.
Patricia O’Dwyer

Patricia O’Dwyer, 37, of no fixed address, launched a frenzied attack on her sister in Ditton Fields, Cambridge on 21 July, using a knife to stab and slash at the 41-year-old victim, inflicting six wounds to the abdomen, neck, and elbow. Emergency services found the victim collapsed on the ground with members of the public applying pressure to her wounds. O’Dwyer was arrested at the scene with blood on her hands and a knife concealed in her bra. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. It is noted that it was pure luck the victim was not seriously injured or killed.
Pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of knife, plus further charges including two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, two counts of common assault, two counts of criminal damage, intimidating a witness, two counts of using threatening words/behaviour likely to cause distress, racially aggravated harassment, possession of cannabis, and two counts of assault by beating.

Sammy Trujilo, 33, of Foster Road, Trumpington, Cambridge, repeatedly entered the store in Cambridge where the victim worked, pretending to look at products while staring intently at her. The victim hid in the stockroom to avoid him. He followed her to a shop round the corner from her workplace and to a bar in Cambridge where she was having drinks with friends.
Pleaded guilty to stalking and breach of a sexual harm prevention order. Was already subject to a sexual harm prevention order forbidding him from following or photographing any woman in public unless a friend or relative.
Blade Silvano

Blade Silvano created a fake male profile online in 2016 to deceive her victim into believing she was a man. She met the victim online and used careful deception, including concealing her body with an oversized t-shirt and using a sex toy, to have sex with her twice. Silvano maintained the deception for around 18 months, falsely claiming to be a British military officer, sending pictures of herself appearing to wet shave and in military fatigues, and suggesting marriage. The victim discovered the truth on Facebook and was left horrified and traumatised.
Found guilty of two counts of assault by penetration after trial. Placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely. Judge described actions as calculated deceit for sexual gratification, not gender dysphoria.
Entison Dimitri
Possession with intent to supply class A drugs *

Entison Dimitri, 35, was spotted on CCTV handing out class A drugs in the doorway of Merkur Slots, Lincoln Road, Millfield, Peterborough, in the early hours of 22 February 2022. He was seen going to and from a nearby Volkswagen Polo. Police detained him for a stop-search, finding a zipped pouch in his trousers containing wraps of cocaine and crack cocaine, plus further wraps in the Polo worth about £5,000. A search of his home in Lincoln Road uncovered more class A drugs, including heroin, taking the total seized value to more than £10,000.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin. Judge commented on his naivety in dealing drugs in view of CCTV and that his gambling addiction led to drug dealing after the birth of his child. Must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work, complete a 25-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and adhere to a curfew between 9.30pm and 6am for the next four months.

On 30 April, Sokrat Vata was driving a stolen grey Toyota RAV4 in Cambridge when approached by the Cambridgeshire Road Policing Unit in Catherine Street. He mounted the curb and fled at speed, stopping briefly to let out a passenger before continuing to Clara Rackham Street, where he abandoned the vehicle and threw a bundle of cocaine into a bush. He was found hiding in a nearby back garden. Officers found £560 in cash and number plates in the car, and he tested positive for drug driving. In a separate incident on 13 April in Kent, Vata flipped a cloned vehicle while evading police on the A20 at East Malling, from which bags of cocaine and number plates were recovered, though he was not caught at the time.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, two counts of dangerous driving, possession of cannabis and drug driving. Sentenced by His Honour Judge Grey, who commented on the misery caused by drugs and the trail of damage from drug addiction.
Peter Barber
Making indecent photographs of a child *

Peter Barber, a 71-year-old convicted paedophile from Norburn, Bretton, Peterborough, was visited at his home by specialist officers managing sexual offenders in January. During the visit, officers discovered his hidden mobile phone under the bed covers containing thousands of indecent images of children, including nearly 4,000 category A images. Evidence also showed he had initiated sexual communication with children he believed to be 11 and 12 years old. He went to great efforts to conceal his continued sexual offending, breaching his sexual harm prevention order and notification requirements.
Admitted to three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child, possessing extreme pornographic images, possessing a prohibited image of a child, arranging the sexual exploitation of a child under 13, two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, three counts of distributing an indecent photograph of a child, and six counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and failing to comply with Sex Offenders Register notification requirements. Described as posing a serious risk to children.
Lemar Griffiths

Lemar Griffiths, 28, of Orchard Close, Cambridge, ran a county line drug operation between London and Peterborough, using a vulnerable 15-year-old boy in care as a drug runner to supply class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin. The investigation began on 31 July 2023 when the Metropolitan Police reported the boy missing from London and believed to be in Peterborough. Griffiths' mobile phone was in regular contact with the boy's. On 8 August 2023, Griffiths was arrested in Newmarket and seen throwing a mobile phone and a package containing more than £2,000 worth of class A drugs from a window. A 'deal line' phone found with him sent bulk messages advertising drugs in Peterborough. He was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation, and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cocaine, and heroin.
Initially denied all charges but changed plea on day two of trial. Continued to deny the exploitation charge, which will lie on file. Must forfeit £2,850 in cash seized from him.
David Rosa

David Rosa, 21, of London Road, Maidstone, Kent, worked for Lemar Griffiths to facilitate the travel of a vulnerable 15-year-old boy in care from London to Peterborough and force him to supply class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin as part of a county line operation. The investigation began on 31 July 2023 when the Metropolitan Police reported the boy missing from London and believed to be in Peterborough. Rosa's mobile phone was in regular contact with the boy's. On 7 August 2023, the boy was tracked to Millfield, Peterborough, a known drug user's address, where he had been taken to sell drugs on behalf of Griffiths and Rosa. Rosa was arrested on 8 August 2023 at Cambridge rail station after travelling from Peterborough. He was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation.
Initially denied all charges but changed plea on day two of trial. Must forfeit £105 in cash seized from him.

Nam Hong Tran was found with 238 cannabis plants in his home in Tanglewood, Alconbury Weston, on May 8, with a street value of up to £199,000. The plants were discovered in bedrooms and a loft following complaints of a strong cannabis smell. He was sentenced after pleading guilty.

Philip Spencer, 39, of Chapel Street, Stanground, Peterborough, entered a pub with a claw hammer to intimidate his former partner after their 17-month relationship ended in early April due to his drug use. Despite being told to stop, he continued contacting her via emails, texts, calls, and uninvited visits. On 21 April, he entered her house uninvited, leading to a scuffle. Later that evening, he retrieved a hammer from his car, entered the pub, abused the victim and her friend, held up the hammer threateningly, but was disarmed by the victim's daughter's boyfriend and left. Over the following week, he continued harassment with calls, messages, emails, and suspected loitering. On 26 April, he appeared at her house accusing her of cheating, and was suspected of banging on her friend's window at 1am the next morning and sending a threatening work email.
Pleaded guilty to affray, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of stalking without fear, alarm and distress.
Marcin Zielinski

Marcin Zielinski, a former Herts police officer aged 27 from Shefford, Bedfordshire, stole an item of underwear from a property in Stevenage on September 12, 2024, while conducting a Section 32 search. The woman at the address had been arrested for an unrelated matter and was later released with no further action. Zielinski resigned from the force in November 2024 amid the investigation.

Tinashe Wilson, 27, of Wadloes Road, Cambridge, broke into a house in High Street, Cottenham, by forcing the front door at around 4pm on 19 December 2023. He stole a 45-inch Panasonic TV and a stereo amplifier. A black latex glove left at the scene contained his DNA. The following day, officers searched a house in Dolphin Close, Cambridge, where Wilson was found and attempted to flee. A camouflage hooded top belonging to him was discovered containing sealed bags of class A drugs (amphetamine and cocaine). A mobile phone he discarded was also recovered. In interview, he answered no comment.

Samuel Thomas, 36, of Crest Drive, Fenstanton, strangled his girlfriend until she lost consciousness on November 3 and during another incident, slapped her to revive her, slammed her head against a wall about four times, threatened to bite her nose off and gouge her eyeball, and refused to let her leave with their 12-week-old baby. The abuse was reported after police were alerted to an assault at his home, where injuries including a handprint on her face and bruising on her neck were observed.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm. DC Ewa Byrne commented on the victim's bravery and described Thomas as a danger to women.

Robert Fitzjohn, 44, broke into March Town Hall in Market Place between 5.30pm on Monday April 15 and 8.30am on Tuesday April 16. He smashed a window to access an office, searched through a safe and cupboard, and stole cheque books, bank cards, a bottle of prosecco, and another small safe. He also used parts of a drill to break into another office, stole £17 from the till in the coffee shop, along with a pot of foreign coins and a cake, then left through a fire exit. His DNA was found on the drill bits, leading to his conviction.
Pleaded guilty to burglary which triggered a suspended sentence. PC Rachael Copeland noted that Fitzjohn knew what he was doing and caused about £2,000-worth of damage.
Ditjon Hoxha

On 24 June, police on patrol in Ely spotted Ditjon Hoxha, a 29-year-old from Mount Ephraim Road, London, parked in a lay-by on the A142 near Barway in a black Vauxhall Mokka hire vehicle that had previously failed to stop in the area. Officers searched him and the vehicle but found nothing. They then searched a nearby bin after recalling him putting items inside upon their arrival, discovering 35 bags of cocaine with a street value of £1,400. In custody, it was found he had given a false name and had no driving licence or insurance.
Previously pleaded guilty. Also disqualified from driving for 18 months and must take an extended re-test.

He was detected by a CCTV system while attempting to break in via the back door after being in the garden and garage, then jumped over the fence. The victims' sons pursued and detained him in a nearby pub carpark after he admitted to jumping the fence, and called the police.
Pleaded guilty to attempted burglary with intent to steal. Was already under a community order after conviction for burglary and theft in February.

Alfie Holt, a 21-year-old from Victory Avenue, Whittlesey, was driving a blue Seat Ibiza on the A14 near Godmanchester on April 21 when neighbourhood officers stopped him due to suspicions. He had been disqualified from driving in March. A search of his car revealed class A drugs, cannabis, scales, and a kitchen knife in the driver's door.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, driving while disqualified, possession of cannabis, and possession of a knife. PC Chris Winchester from the Huntingdon Neighbourhood Team commented on targeting drug dealers who pose a danger to communities.

He denied the charges but was found guilty of criminal damage after a trial and cleared of arson.

Joshua Allen, 32, of New Road, Woodston, Peterborough, started a fire on a mattress in his bedroom on 12 March 2024 because he was depressed. His friend raised the alarm after he called her, and firefighters arrived just after 6.30pm. Allen was unharmed but while being handcuffed for his safety, he flipped forward, knocking the officer to the ground and causing her to hit her head (not seriously injured). The fire was contained due to an open bedroom window but could have spread to neighbouring terraced houses, putting an elderly, deaf neighbour at significant risk.
Admitted charges of assaulting an officer and arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered. Claimed he only wanted to harm himself due to depression.
Kian Setchfield

Kian Setchfield, then 15 years old, admitted starting a fire at Hotpoint in Celta Road, Fletton, Peterborough, on 29 August 2019, causing £754,871 worth of damage to 48 HGV trailers and their contents, as well as criminal damage to white goods. Emergency services were called at about 7pm, with eight crews and over 40 firefighters attending. No one was injured. He was charged in October 2021 and sentenced now at age 19.

Nigel Reeson

Nigel Reeson, 58, began sexually assaulting the first young girl in 1994, with the abuse taking place at his home on regular occasions until the early 2000s. He sexually touched the girl on multiple occasions, including one instance when he got into a bath with her. In 2010, Reeson sexually assaulted another girl at her home. Last year the girls reported what had happened and Reeson was arrested at his home in Abbots Drive, Crowland, near Peterborough.
Admitted six counts of indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 14, inciting a girl under sixteen years of age to commit an act of gross indecency and assaulting a girl by touching.
Shaun Bolingbroke

Shaun Bolingbroke attacked a child in June 2020, raping a child under 13. He also made indecent photographs of children, with 54 illicit images uncovered on his mobile phone, and kept a video of himself sexually abusing a dog, including an image and video of the abuse. The offences came to light in October 2020.
Found guilty by a jury of raping a child under 13. Pleaded guilty to making indecent photographs of children, possessing an extreme pornographic image, intercourse with an animal and four counts of cruelty to a person under 16. Also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order.
Anne-Marie Burrowes

On 26 October 2023, Anne-Marie Burrowes, 52, of Ellindon, Bretton, Peterborough, murdered her friend Paul Knowles, 56, at his flat in Farriers Court, Woodston, Peterborough. They regularly met to drink alcohol, but things turned violent. She assaulted him to the face, dug out his eyes, and shoved a sock down his throat, causing airway obstruction and facial fractures, leading to his death. She left the body for four days, took his bank card and used it at a shop, then called police on 30 October to confess vaguely, and fully on 19 November, unable to live with the guilt.
Found guilty of murder after claiming self-defence. Both parties were alcoholics and had been drinking and taking drugs that night.
Robert Hammond

Robert Hammond murdered his wife Sian Hammond by strangling her at their home in Primes Corner, Histon, near Cambridge, on 29 October 2023, to claim her £450,000 life insurance policy and pay off spiralling debts exceeding £300,000. He had spent months lying to HMRC and a financial company about having cancer and getting a divorce to delay payments. On the day of the murder, they spent time shopping and using their home gym. CCTV showed no other person entered or left the house. He called police at 2am the next day claiming he found her not breathing. A postmortem on 3 November identified concerning injuries, and a forensic postmortem a week later confirmed death by compression of the neck, consistent with a struggle. He was arrested on 10 November and maintained innocence until the jury's verdict.
Unanimous guilty verdict on charge of murder. Had growing debts of more than £300,000 and lied to delay payments. Called police claiming he found her not breathing and denied wrongdoing.
Rebecca Pinckard

Rebecca Pinckard, a 46-year-old prison officer at HMP Highpoint in Suffolk, engaged in an intimate sexual encounter with inmate Erion Nakdi in a storage cupboard on July 5, 2024. The act was captured on her body-worn camera, which was accidentally activated. She had previously sent him a Moonpig card on April 10, 2024, and received sexual videos of him filmed in his cell via social media, which she failed to report. The relationship involved overfamiliar behaviour over months, following a prior warning in October 2023 for similar conduct.
Admitted misconduct in public office. Judge noted the offence was not a one-off, lasted for months, and diminished public confidence in the criminal justice system. Described as a 'moment of madness' by defence, following a difficult personal period after ending a 19-year relationship.
Christopher Marshall-Mcintosh

Christopher Marshall-McIntosh was driving his silver Audi A4 at excessive speed in Back Lane, Cambourne, on 5 March 2024, when he collided with a 15-year-old boy on a push-scooter, causing serious and life-threatening injuries. He fled the scene and attempted to cover his tracks by setting the car on fire in a remote area. The victim suffered lasting injuries, impacting his childhood and future.
Pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by careless driving and perverting the course of justice. Also disqualified from driving for five years and four months. DS Craig Wheeler commented on the appalling behaviour and the impact on the victim.
