Three children (two boys and a girl) were passengers in her vehicle and were uninjured. The Yaris hit the central reservation; its driver and a passenger suffered slight injuries, while two children (aged 5 and 14) in the Yaris were unhurt.
Pleaded guilty to drug driving and dangerous driving. PC Peter Smith commented on the irresponsibility of driving under the influence with children in the car.

Kemzi Ogbonna assaulted a female colleague in Huntingdonshire on March 15, 2023, by hugging her from behind, placing both hands around her chest, trying to kiss her, and suggesting they should be in a relationship. A search of the vehicle revealed a food bag containing 49 individual bags of cocaine with an estimated street value of up to £2,940.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence, and driving without insurance. Detective commented that the case started as a routine check on a stolen vehicle and hoped it sends a message that drug crime will not be tolerated.

Jayed Hussain, 31, subjected his partner, a woman in her 20s, to months of attacks and assaults in her Cambridge home. On June 16, he beat her in the early hours, leaving her bloodied and terrified outside, and smashed a TV on the floor. Neighbours heard screaming and called the police, who found her with blood on her face. Previous incidents included grabbing her by the hair, throwing her to the floor, punching and kicking her in the face, attacking her hip and ribs, and grabbing her throat. On May 16, he threw her around her flat, causing multiple facial injuries and ripping out a clump of her hair.
Pleaded guilty to assault and other charges. Sentences for another assault (1 year and 4 months), assault by beating (3 months), and criminal damage (1 month) to run concurrently. Described as a violent man with no respect for women by DC Ellie Hathiramani.

David Gabryelski, a 21-year-old from the Cambridge area with no fixed address, conducted a series of thefts and burglaries between 26 August 2024 and 5 September 2024. He stole a till and charity box from a takeaway in Lincoln Road, Peterborough, damaged a CCTV camera, broke into a garage in Missleton Court, Cambridge, stealing two bicycles, smashed a car window in St Bede’s Gardens to steal a bag, stole two cars from Blinco Grove and Verulam Way, and broke into 15 vehicles to steal items including mobile phones, power banks, cash, sunglasses, and a bank card. He was found asleep in a stolen car surrounded by about 90 stolen items on 5 September 2024.
Admitted to two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of motor vehicle, two counts of criminal damage, and 15 counts of theft from a motor vehicle. PC Edward Hyde noted that the offending caused havoc for residents and business owners in Cambridge and Peterborough.

He sent messages implying he would go to her home or was watching her, such as 'Are you going to let me come and see you' and 'Are you serious, you’re nipping off somewhere before you go home?'. This behaviour persisted after his release in September 2024 from a previous prison sentence. The victim changed her routine to avoid him, and three months later, she reported the incidents to the police. Findlay denied the contact during his interview but was convicted.
Pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm/distress and harassment, breaching a restraining order. DC Jake Boreham-Dennis commented that restraining orders are powerful tools and Findlay showed blatant disregard for them.

On May 7, police executed a warrant at Tristan Lenk's former home in Furrowfields Road, Chatteris, where they discovered cannabis worth up to £19,350, cocaine worth up to £17,740, ketamine worth up to £200, and £7,500 in cash. Lenk, aged 26 and residing in Balland Field, Willingham, was involved in drug dealing, leading to his arrest and subsequent sentencing.
Pleaded guilty to possession of criminal property, possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine, and possession of ketamine. The sentence was given after police acted on concerns and raided his home.

He fled the scene in a black Peugeot 208, driving over 80mph in a 40mph zone, ignoring road signs and endangering other users. Police tracked him via CCTV, found him hiding in a bin in South Street, Stanground, and arrested him. The victim sustained shoulder injuries and an open fracture to his wrist, requiring surgery.
Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon in public, failing to stop, driving while disqualified, no insurance, and drink driving. The weapon was a metal gas strut adapted to cause injury, and the sentence aims to address underlying issues like alcohol misuse.

They pushed a man over and one of them shouted 'stab him' before fleeing on bicycles. No knife was seen. They were identified through CCTV footage and arrested the same day. Most of the stolen jewellery was recovered from various locations.

Esther Loveridge, a 42-year-old woman from Victoria Avenue, Cambridge, stole items including chocolate, meat, cheese, and fragrances from stores such as Co-op, John Lewis, Aldi, and Sainsbury’s on 17 occasions between 16 June and 2 August 2025 to feed her drug addiction. She had previously been handed a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order in June 2024 prohibiting her from entering certain stores in Cambridgeshire.
Pleaded guilty to 17 counts of shop theft and 12 breaches of a CBO. Also given another two-year Criminal Behaviour Order with the same conditions.

Louise Krykunivsky repeatedly made hoax calls to the fire service, costing over £15,000, despite signing an Acceptable Behaviour Contract in 2023. On 23 March, she deliberately set fire to a bin behind her front door in her Milton High Street flat, which spread to a doormat and caused £12,000 in smoke damage. She escaped through a ground floor window, and firefighters extinguished the blaze. This incident occurred after she had been arrested for similar behaviour and released on bail, and followed her declaration that she wanted to be moved to another location.
Pleaded guilty to arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered. Det Con Edward Hyde commented that the fire could have spread to neighbouring flats, putting lives at risk, and hoped the sentence would make her reflect on the harm caused.

Ziggy Dunn, 36, of Manton, Bretton, Peterborough, along with Bartholomew Cronin, attacked a victim who was installing a CCTV camera at his home in Lowick Gardens, Westwood, Peterborough, on November 5. Dunn ran out with a hockey stick after Cronin's initial threat, and both men assaulted the victim with the hammer and hockey stick, hitting him on the back of the head and left eye, causing serious injuries including loss of sight. The victim was taken to hospital, and Dunn returned to the scene before being arrested.

Cronin emerged from Dunn's house, made a threat, pulled out a hammer, and waved it before both men assaulted the victim with the hammer and a hockey stick, causing serious injuries including loss of sight in the victim's left eye. The victim required hospital treatment, and both attackers fled the scene before being arrested.

Shaun Fox, 43, of Swanspool, Ravensthorpe, Peterborough, pretended to be a 17-year-old boy and contacted a 14-year-old girl via Instagram on May 18, 2025. He requested inappropriate photos, offered to send 30 videos for her to rate, and asked her to touch herself inappropriately. The girl's mother discovered the interaction, posed as her daughter on WhatsApp, and received three child abuse videos from Fox. He attempted to delete messages and asked the mother to do the same. Police tracked him using an email address linked to the Instagram account and CCTV footage of him purchasing a mobile phone and top-up in Bretton, Peterborough. He was arrested on July 1, 2025, and during interview, claimed to feel like a 17-year-old in a 43-year-old's body.
Pleaded guilty to six counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order, distributing an indecent photograph, causing a child to watch or look at an image of sexual activity, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and causing a girl to engage in sexual activity. Also placed on the sex offenders register for life, handed a sexual harm prevention order for life, and a 10-year restraining order. Judge described him as 'predatory and determined' and dismissed his claims as self-serving.
Sheeba Bukuru

Sheeba Bukuru was overtaking a car at speed on the wrong side of a 'keep left' bollard when he struck a female cyclist on Fulbourn Road in Cambridge on 24 November 2024, causing her severe injuries including a fractured skull, bleed on the brain, broken pelvis, arm, leg, ribs, dislocated shoulder, and damaged lungs. He fled the scene in his black BMW, abandoned the vehicle, and falsely reported it as stolen at knifepoint. He was arrested later that day with the car key in his possession.

In February 2024, he assaulted her, leading to a conviction for actual bodily harm and a suspended sentence in April 2024. After the victim rekindled the relationship, Ferreira reverted to abusive behaviours, including accusing her of cheating, messaging her family impersonating her, controlling her finances by transferring £750 from her account without consent, shouting at her during work calls, and assaulting her in December 2024 by hitting her and throwing objects. The victim fled, leading to his arrest and guilty plea.
Pleaded guilty to engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour. His suspended sentence for actual bodily harm was activated.

While serving a life sentence for the murder of 19-year-old RAF cadet Abdul Mayanja by shooting in July 2019, Sean Obazee assaulted a prison officer at HMP Whitemoor. The unprovoked attack occurred on August 28 of the previous year, when Obazee punched the officer in the face while the officer was walking along a corridor. Other prison officers intervened to stop the assault, and the officer was taken to hospital but not seriously injured.

Toby Wilton bombarded his ex-girlfriend with messages, emails, and cryptic social media posts after their two-year relationship ended. Despite a non-molestation order issued on November 21, he breached it multiple times, including sending messages asking to meet, declaring his love, and noting items she was wearing that he had given her. This harassment caused serious harm or distress and continued from late November into January and beyond, with the victim in Huntingdon documenting the breaches.
Pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious harm or distress and ten counts of breaching a non-molestation order. Poses a significant risk to the victim, as noted by the investigating officer.

Billy Ingram, 31, befriended families in Cambridge to gain unsupervised access to their children. In August 2022, he followed a woman home, entered her property, and sexually assaulted her young son the next morning while allowing the boy to play on his mobile phone. Investigations revealed he had similar unsupervised access to other children, breaching a 2017 Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Police found hundreds of indecent images and videos of children on his devices, including footage of him sexually abusing a boy in Greater Manchester and inciting another boy in West Mercia to send an indecent image via a computer game in 2020.
Admitted to two counts of sexual assault of a boy under 13 by touching, four counts of possessing indecent images of children, one count of causing or inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and four breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.

Andrew Gladwin, 53, of Haweswater, Huntingdon, met the victim through a shared interest in running several years ago. After she stopped running with him due to feeling uncomfortable, he sent sporadic inappropriate texts. In October of the previous year, he bombarded her with over a hundred sexually violent messages from a fake Facebook account, claiming to 'own' her, threatening to rape her in her home, and stating she 'completely belonged to him'. He also mentioned driving past her house. The victim felt terrified and suspected she was being followed, leading to his arrest on November 5.
Gladwin admitted stalking involving fear of violence and sending communication threatening death or serious harm at a hearing in April. Detective Sergeant Simon Boast noted the behaviour was extremely concerning and caused the victim extreme distress.

Gavin Boot, 32, contacted a woman on Instagram in December of the previous year, despite her attempts to block him. He threatened her and her partner to withdraw her statement in a domestic abuse case. As a result, she withdrew her statement a few days later. Boot, of no fixed address, was arrested in Glebe Gardens, Crowland, on January 10, 2025.
Admitted witness intimidation. A restraining order was made for five years, preventing contact with the woman. Detective Constable Emily Richardson noted that attempts to thwart the legal process are taken seriously.
Blessing Maponga

Blessing Maponga coercively controlled and abused his wife for nearly a year, culminating in an incident where he stabbed her in the stomach with a comb. He was caught after calling her employer and claiming abuse, during which the employer heard her screaming and alerted the police.

On February 3, 2023, Thomas Peggs drove his Jaguar XKR out of a village via Gote Lane, a 30mph road, at speeds up to 80mph after drinking three pints in a pub. He lost control of the vehicle over bumps in the road, veered onto a grass verge, collided head-on with a large tree, and the car caught fire. This resulted in the death of passenger Grace Robinson, who was declared brain-dead and taken off life support two days later, and life-changing injuries to Macie Hall, including memory loss, cognitive impairment, and the need for 24/7 care.
Pleaded guilty. Judge described the incident as 'showing off to two pretty young girls by taking them for a joyride'. In mitigation, he had no previous convictions, was remorseful, and had been driving for over a decade with a clean record.
Bradley Thorpe

Daniel Crow, 54, of Lawn Lane, Littleport, stabbed his 54-year-old wife with a large kitchen knife in an unprovoked attack at their home in Little Downham on 25 January, after their relationship ended. He attacked her while she was at the kitchen sink, continued despite her screams, and held her in a headlock, causing multiple cuts, bruises, and puncture wounds to her stomach, arms, hands, face, and body. She fought back, called the police from the bathroom after locking herself in, and he fled the scene. Weapons, including pepper spray, a flick knife, a metal whip with a bayonet, a knuckle duster, and scalpels, were later found in his car.
Admitted to wounding with intent, possessing a knife in public, and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, gas, or electrical incapacitation device. Judge Andrew Hurst commented that the attack was utterly terrifying and that the victim feared for her life, despite pleas to consider their children.
Shane Sparks

Shane Sparks attempted to conceal a packet of burgers and some cheese in his trousers at the Co-op in Burwell on January 28 at about 1.30pm. When staff confronted him as he tried to leave, he pulled out a kitchen knife, lunged towards them while holding it above his head, and threatened to 'cut their insides out'. He left the shop but was arrested at his home address on January 30.
Pleaded guilty to robbery and possessing a knife in a public place. Police noted that he went to the shop armed with a knife to intimidate and scare anyone who stood in his way.
Steven Green
Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin *

Crack cocaine and heroin were found at Steven Green’s home in Norwich Road when police arrested him on December 18 in connection with shoplifting at Tesco in Cromwell Road, Wisbech, between March 9 and November 25. Information was obtained that Green was advertising the sale of drugs. His phone was seized, revealing further messages relating to the sale of crack cocaine and heroin.
Admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. Also ordered to complete a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
