George Davey, 76, of Shelthorpe Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, sexually abused multiple young girls over decades. He abused his first victim between 1975 and 1985, a second between 1983 and 1986, a third between 1995 and 2003, a fourth between 2001 and 2002 and again in 2022, and a fifth in 1993. He also exposed himself to a woman between 2019 and 2020. The crimes were reported in December 2022 by one victim, prompting others to come forward.
Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. DC Louise Wick noted the sentence reflects the gravity of the predatory abuse and harm to victims, praising their courage.

He stole thousands of pounds' worth of garden tools, machinery, fishing equipment, and a Seat Ateca. He also attempted to break into homes in Soham, Brinkley, and Histon. His offending escalated from thefts to dwelling burglaries, stealing cars, and evading police.
Pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary, four attempted burglaries with intent to steal, theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft, theft from a shop, two counts of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, making off without making payment, and driving without insurance. Caused significant distress to residents.

On December 23, 2025, Kyle Harris, 36, of Prince Street, Wisbech, was involved in an argument with another man and a woman at the outside area of the Wheatsheaf Inn in Church Terrace, Wisbech. He punched the victim multiple times and stamped on him while he was unconscious. The victim suffered cuts to his face and head and was taken to hospital. Harris was arrested nearby later that day.

On December 3, Patrick Smith was stopped by police in Cubitt Way, Woodston, Peterborough, for being with known drug users. When told he was detained for a search, he drove away at high speed, mounting the kerb and nearly hitting officers and bollards. Police found his car in Earl Spencer Court and arrested him nearby. A large ball of Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) was found hidden in a discarded beer can near where he was loitering. He also possessed £290 in cash.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, possession of criminal property (£290 cash), and obstructing an officer. £290 cash ordered to be paid to Cambridge Recovery Service.

On July 30, 2025, at around 4.25pm, Mindaugas Borisas, 56, was driving a Mercedes lorry on the southbound carriageway of the A1 between Stibbington and Water Newton when he crashed into the back of a stopped Skoda Octavia estate driven by Geoff Brock, 73, of Hillcrest in Bar Hill, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash also involved a blue Kia Cee'd estate and a Mercedes Van.

On 20 November, neighbourhood officers spotted a black BMW with fake number plates on Bury Road in Ramsey. The vehicle accelerated away, reaching 80mph in a 40mph zone on the B1040 towards Warboys, overtaking other vehicles. It stopped before the Kings Ripton junction, where driver Stanley Rose and passenger Isiah Thurston fled on foot but were caught. Thurston threw a bag containing wraps of cannabis and cocaine worth up to £7,380, plus £40 cash. Additional £84 was found in his pocket. The BMW contained two mobile phones, scales, a knife, and £1,075 cash.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis and being concerned in the supply of both drugs.

Alan Russell, 46, of Princes Street, Peterborough, followed a female colleague to the women’s toilet at their workplace in Huntingdon in April 2025. CCTV footage showed him waiting for the victim to close the cubicle door before entering the toilets while filming on his phone. This incident breached a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) imposed by Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court in July 2015 after his conviction for multiple voyeurism offences, which prohibited him from entering female toilets, loitering within 10m of public toilets, or entering female changing rooms.

Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent *

On May 26, Samuel Jackson visited the victim's home in Kathleen Elliott Way, Cambridge, between 6am and 7am. They shared a beer; Jackson admitted to smoking crack cocaine beforehand. They walked to a nearby shop for coffee and food, returning at 8am. Jackson then entered the kitchen, emerged with a knife, and launched an unprovoked attack, stabbing the 42-year-old woman multiple times in the chest like a 'crazed animal'. One wound narrowly missed her heart. She fought for her life in hospital for several days and was told she was lucky to survive. Jackson fled through a bathroom window, ran through gardens, and was stopped by workers at Cambridge Airport runway before arrest.
Found not guilty of attempted murder after a five-day trial. Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent. Judge considered the severity of the harm caused.
Kane Haynes

Kane Haynes, 26, of Harrier Way, Market Deeping, was stopped by police while driving a Ford Kuga in Wainman Road, Woodston, Peterborough on October 28, 2025. He attempted to grab a red iPhone on the passenger seat, but it was retrieved by an officer, leading to his arrest. Analysis of phones linked to him revealed bulk messages advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.
Admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. No class A drugs were recovered, but phone evidence showed involvement in supplying these substances.
Patryk Malinowski

Patryk Malinowski, of Akeman Street, Cambridge, entered a gated courtyard near student accommodation at St Catharine’s College at about 11pm on 25 January 2025. A college porter confronted him and asked him several times to leave but Malinowski swore at him and replied that he “wasn’t going anywhere”. Sitting in his wheelchair, Malinowski took a beer bottle from his coat and smashed it on the ground as the porter walked away, before throwing a full wine bottle towards him. Malinowski then left the enclosed courtyard but remained by the railings. He reached through and set fire to a laundry basket inside the area. The porter was able to extinguish the fire. But Malinowski then wheeled himself into the car park and set fire to a rubbish bin before opening the fuel cap of a car. He attempted to start a fire underneath it and punched the offside wing mirror, causing two dents. He shoved a handful of twigs and grass into the fuel tank and tried to light them, but his lighter failed. Malinowski caused about £800 of damage and was arrested shortly afterwards.
Pleaded guilty to arson and attempted arson. One count of criminal damage and one count of common assault were ordered to lie on file.

Alexander Johnston
Possessing child abuse images *

Alexander Johnston, a former teacher at Bishop's Stortford College in Hertfordshire, plied his victim with alcohol and created child abuse images between 1976 and 1979 while employed there. He retained the images for over 50 years until they were recovered by police as evidence. Due to legislation at the time, he could not be convicted of creating the images but was charged with possession.
Pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse images on the first day of his trial. Placed on the Sexual Offenders' Register for 10 years. Described as a 'dangerous predator' who took advantage of a position of power.

Haider Ali, 27, of Ambury Hill, Huntingdon, was caught driving dangerously in a black Vauxhall Mokka on March 31, 2024, at around 10.40pm in Coneygear Road, Huntingdon. Officers followed him after he drove in a loop, then he turned into Thames Road, drove over the kerb at around 50 mph in a 30 mph limit, went off-road along an alleyway onto Nene Road, and crashed. He attempted to flee but was arrested nearby.
Found guilty of dangerous driving following a trial. PC Chester Lewis commented that Ali’s driving was incredibly dangerous and could have put pedestrians and other road users at serious risk of harm.
Whitney-Marie Walker

Whitney-Marie Walker, 23, from West Walton, was arrested at her home on Mill Road on June 19, 2024, alongside her partner Fred Cook. Officers found almost 80 designer goods items valued at over £63,000 and £5,500 in cash under her bed. Another property on Osborne Road in Wisbech was also raided. Financial investigations revealed discrepancies in her earnings and substantial transfers to Cook's account, linking her to his drug-dealing enterprise.
Admitted concealing criminal property and being in possession of criminal property. Aware of the scale of her partner Fred Cook's drug operation and assisted in concealing funds. A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing will be held at a later date.

Maruf Riaz, 25, of no fixed address, along with Shellem Miah, stabbed a 54-year-old man twice to the chest in Nicholson Way, Cambridge, just before midday on 2 October 2024, in a brutal drug-related attack. The pair fled the scene in a black Kia Sportage with fake plates to Newmarket, Suffolk. Riaz was involved in perverting the course of justice following the incident. They were arrested the next day in the Morrisons car park in Cambourne by armed police. The victim suffered a stab wound to the heart and sternum, called 999 stating he could not breathe and was 'going to die', and was aided by members of the public before being hospitalized.
Found guilty after a five-week trial. Pleaded not guilty to attempted murder but was acquitted on that charge.
Shellem Miah

Shellem Miah, 25, of Kingsway, Cambridge, along with Maruf Riaz, stabbed a 54-year-old man twice to the chest in Nicholson Way, Cambridge, just before midday on 2 October 2024, in a brutal drug-related attack. Miah was running the 'Biggie' county line and had exchanged threatening messages with the victim minutes before the incident, including 'on my life keep talking **** come see me now'. After the attack, Miah messaged a relative expressing confusion and later discussed needing a new number for the line and evading police, claiming the case was 'unsolvable'. The pair fled in a black Kia Sportage with fake plates to Newmarket, Suffolk. A blood-covered wooden cosh was found at the scene. Miah was also involved in possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Found guilty after a five-week trial. Pleaded not guilty to attempted murder but was acquitted on that charge.

Ishaan Jha, 19, of no fixed address, robbed children at knifepoint at the Bushfield Centre in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough. On February 7, he forced a 12-year-old boy to hand over his phone while threatening him with a knife. On February 21, he forced a 16-year-old boy to hand over his phone and AirPods, again threatening with a knife. On February 28, he was among a group of men who approached two boys and a girl aged 13, 14, and 15, assaulted them, and stole two e-scooters. Cambridgeshire Police identified him via CCTV and tracked his movements using phone data from Peterborough to Nottingham.
Found guilty on all counts after trial. DC Matt Reed noted Jha travelled to Peterborough to commit offences with no regard for victims.

On the morning of the collision at about 7.10am, Adam Bates, 23, of Juniper Drive, Chatteris, was driving his Jaguar XF on the A10 near Stretham when it veered head-on into a road-sweeper vehicle due to his persistent and deliberate dangerous driving. William Doherty, 53, from Littleport, was driving behind Bates in a Mini Cooper, with his wife Susan reporting Bates' driving to police at the time. The road-sweeper lost control and crashed into the Dohertys' vehicle as a result. William Doherty was pronounced dead at the scene, and Susan Doherty sustained serious injuries from which she has not fully recovered. Bates was not seriously injured.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Judge Philip Grey described the offence as a case of prolonged, persistent and deliberate dangerous driving. Tested positive for cannabis and excess levels of a prescription drug.

He burgling the Co-op in Papworth Everard stealing goods worth £400, and stole alcohol, tobacco, and food from Co-ops in Milton Road and Milton Avenue.

Shortly after 12.34am on January 9, 2025, he approached an unknown woman walking home from work from behind and hit her over the head with the same broken paving slab, causing a deep cut to her head. She was taken to hospital. Coppins fled the scene and was arrested two hours later in Bridge Street.

Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and drink driving. PC Sam Dane commented that driving under the influence with children in the car is irresponsible and beyond belief.

Pramod Dhakal raped and sexually abused eight victims over 19 years. All victims were children at the time of the abuse except one. Victims were based in Cambridgeshire except one from London. Arrested after a victim confided in her family in November 2023, with others coming forward subsequently. Some victims were reluctant to come forward fearing they wouldn't be believed.
Denied charges and stood trial for 20 days. Found guilty by unanimous verdict on 25 counts. Placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely and given a restraining order preventing contact with all eight victims indefinitely.

Darren Wheeler, 39, of Deerleap, Bretton, turned up at his former partner's house in Eastfield, Peterborough, at around 9.15am on April 21, 2025, while she was collecting belongings. He was banned from the property under a restraining order imposed in December 2024 following his conviction for grievous bodily harm without intent on a man, for which he received a suspended sentence. Fearing his presence, the victim locked the doors, but Wheeler entered the back garden, smashed a fence, and used the wood to break the back door. He escaped through a window and drove off in a car before being arrested at a property in Bretton on May 2, 2025.
Pleaded guilty to harassment, which activated a suspended sentence from a prior conviction for grievous bodily harm without intent.
Miklivan Benga

On 22 August 2025, Road Policing officers in Cambridge spotted Miklivan Benga, a 24-year-old of no fixed address, driving a grey Mercedes. He was recognised as wanted for failing to appear at court and arrested at a red traffic light. A search of his vehicle uncovered cocaine worth up to £1,200 and cannabis. Benga claimed he had purchased the cocaine in bulk as a birthday gift to himself.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession of cannabis, driving without a licence and insurance. Disqualified from driving for 22 months.

In February 2025, Adam Marchant, aged 32, from West End, Whittlesey, near Peterborough, became enraged while his partner drove home from a friend's house, accusing her of contacting her child's father about childcare. Sitting in the passenger seat, he grabbed the steering wheel, causing the car to crash into a metal flood gate. He then dragged her into the passenger seat, drove back home at speed, pulled her from the car, pinned her against another vehicle, and strangled her until she passed out. When she regained consciousness and tried to escape, he put her in a headlock, dragged her inside, took her phone, locked the door, stood in front of it with a knife, threatened to kill himself while self-harming, and prevented her from leaving. The victim eventually grabbed the keys, locked herself in her car, and called the police.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional strangulation, driving while disqualified, and using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance.

Andrew Murray, 31, of St Bedes Crescent, Cambridge, called random numbers and engaged in unsolicited sexual calls. On October 7, 2025, he called a 13-year-old girl, asked her age, and sent her a video of himself performing a sexual act. The victim recorded the call and informed her mother, who contacted the police. The recording provided evidence leading to his arrest.
Admitted to causing a child aged 13 to 15 to view an image of a sexual activity and three counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order. Detective Sergeant Andy Harding commented on the despicable nature of the actions and the traumatising impact on the victim.

The couple used children's phones to contact victims and made money through extortion.

Thomas Honeyman, 36, of London Street, Whittlesey, committed multiple thefts and a robbery in March 2025 in Peterborough and surrounding areas. On March 10, he stole a white Jeep from a business in Fengate, drove to a woman's home in Crowland, posed as a pest control worker, pressured her for £28, then dragged her to the ground and stole £1000 from her purse. Shortly after, he stole a leaf blower from a landscape gardener nearby. On March 12, he targeted an elderly man in Eye Green, Eye, Peterborough, by pretending to fix the boiler and stole his wife's handbag. On March 5, he stole a handbag from another elderly woman in Werrington after she left it on her car roof, and also stole a wheelbarrow and power tool from B&Q in Maskew Avenue, plus tools from a van in Crowland. He was arrested on March 15 wearing clothes from the offences, with the stolen Jeep and leaf blower linking him to the crimes.
Admitted to robbery, two counts of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft from a person, theft from a motor vehicle, and theft from a shop. Targeted elderly victims using distraction techniques.

Philip Thurston, 34, of Laburnum Close, Cambridge, groomed a 13-year-old girl starting in June 2023 by contacting her on Instagram and asking for her Snapchat details. Despite knowing her age, he arranged to pick her up near her home, initially declined but later succeeded in driving her to Cambourne and McDonald's in Caxton, where he paid for food. Over two weeks, he sent sexualised messages, expressing desires if she were older. On June 28, 2023, at around 7.50pm, he picked her up after she lied to her parents about meeting a 17-year-old boy named Fabio. Her stepdad followed, took a photo of the car, and trailed them through Cambridge. Thurston admitted he was 32, became angry suspecting a setup, and returned her home. He was arrested by Cambridgeshire Police.
Pleaded guilty. Told police he was 'not a bad person' and didn't realise picking up a child was illegal. Described as a danger to children by investigating officer.

James Law, 26, of no fixed address, went on a shoplifting spree in Bretton, Peterborough, from May 2 to May 18, 2025. He stole over £600 worth of goods including bottled drinks, crisps, dog food, food, soft drinks, alcohol, and deli items from Subway, Pets at Home, Morrisons Daily, and BP filling station. He acted with another man on the first theft. Identified via CCTV, he was arrested on May 18 with two grams of cocaine found in his wallet.
Pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft, one count of possession of cocaine, and one count of failing to surrender to police bail. Previous suspended sentence activated.
Abeeb Hussain

Abeeb Hussain, 33, committed three burglaries in Peterborough on July 26 and 27, 2025. On July 26, he smashed a patio door at a property in Eames Gardens, Welland, stole a Samsung mobile phone, and ate a slice of birthday cake from the kitchen. Half an hour later, he smashed another patio door at a property in Sombery Garth, Welland, and stole steaks and other grocery items, leaving a cigarette butt with his DNA outside. On July 27, he entered a house in Flore Close, Westwood, through an open window and stole a 50-inch television, a gold-coloured copy of the Quran, and kitchen knives. He was captured on CCTV and arrested on August 1, 2025, while carrying the stolen Quran.
Admitted to three counts of burglary. Of no known address. Also known as Dillon Currie.
