Peter Norman Richard Chipperfield, 39, from Wood Lane in Ramsey, held his former partner captive in their caravan. The victim was locked inside and had a pillow pressed over her face, preventing her from breathing. Police were called to the property on 15 March last year following a call from a mental health helpline and the victim’s disclosure of ongoing control and abuse. On one occasion in February 2025, he pressed a pillow over her face, restricting her breathing, and threatened that if he were a woman, he would have killed her. Chipperfield’s actions included monitoring her phone and following her around the caravan.
Admitted to charges of false imprisonment and intentional strangulation. Guilty pleas entered.

Jameel Ali, 24, was approached by a man on New Year's Eve 2023 in a car park in Windmill Street, Peterborough. The man asked Ali to move his car forward so another vehicle could park, leading to an argument. Ali headbutted the man and then stabbed him in the neck. Ali fled, and the victim was found with a neck wound and taken to hospital. Ali was arrested two days later.

Giorgi Letodiani, 28, of Kensington Drive, Woodford Green, Essex, carried out a series of thefts from Tesco stores across Cambridgeshire. He stole health and beauty products worth £400 from Tesco in Milton on October 11, another £400 from Tesco in Cambridge Road on October 15, items from Tesco in Sapley, Huntingdon on October 29, and more than £2,000 worth of goods including paint, toothbrush heads and Nicorette spray from Tesco in Wisbech on the same day. He was stopped by security but escaped. On December 19 he stole toothbrush heads and razors worth £720 from Sainsbury’s in Peterborough and was arrested after being stopped by a security guard. On May 12 at Cambridge Crown Court he was sentenced after pleading guilty.

Levi George, 21, of Kings Ripton Road, Sapley, was arrested during a dawn raid on 4 March at Gladwin Crescent, Brampton, as part of a week-long intensification campaign targeting county lines drug dealing. Police uncovered crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £11,500, alongside a mobile phone linked to the ‘zip’ drugs line, and seized more than £700 in cash.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

Cameron McNally followed his victim down Devonshire Road in Cambridge at around 8.20pm on January 31. The woman noticed his shadow and turned onto Mill Road where she still felt followed. The 26-year-old, with hood up, overtook her, withdrew cash at a Sainsbury’s ATM, then grabbed her from behind on Emery Street, covered her mouth, touched her sexually, and ran off towards Mill Road while she screamed. Arrested on February 3.
Pleaded guilty to sexual assault. Ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for ten years and handed an indefinite restraining order. Prior conviction in March 2023 for assaulting a woman on a bus.
Daniel Wilson

Daniel Wilson, 38, of Neptune Close, Cambridge, was already subject to both a non-molestation order and a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim. Despite the restrictions, he turned up at the woman’s local pub in Cambridge on 12 December last year at around 7.45pm and threatened her while holding a glass. Over Christmas he sent unwanted emails, including one stating “I’m getting you back if it’s the last thing I do.” On 5 February he returned to the pub and was abusive towards the victim’s new partner. On Valentine’s Day the victim received flowers signed “Love Daniel.” He was arrested at his home and later overheard telling a relative to “drop this.”
Pleaded guilty to harassment by breach of a restraining order, breach of a non-molestation order and common assault. Charges of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, and attempting to pervert the course of justice, were ordered to lie on file. Also handed a further 10-year restraining order.
Joseph Gynane

On 14 September 2025, Joseph Gynane attacked a Jewish chaplain visiting the top floor landing of HMP Whitemoor near March, Cambridgeshire, shortly before 2.30pm. Gynane struck from behind, punching the victim to the back of the head with such force that he was knocked to the floor. Gynane continued the attack despite prison officers attempting to restrain him and even after PAVA spray was used. The victim suffered a broken jaw and a broken thumb, requiring treatment at Peterborough City Hospital. Gynane shouted 'Allah Akbar' during the assault and later covered his cell with graffiti including 'free Palestine' and 'Death to the IDF'. The chaplain believed the assault was religiously motivated due to his Jewish faith and wearing a black skull cap.
Admitted racially aggravated assault inflicting grievous bodily harm at a hearing in March 2026. Judge Andrew Hurst described the assault as a serious assault motivated by racial hatred, noted Gynane's antisemitic views, long record for serious violence, and very high risk of future assaults against Jewish community members. Added to existing life sentence with minimum term of 30 years.

On 2 November 2025 he punched her, tackled her to the floor and put his arm over her mouth at her house in Arbury. Between June and October 2025 he smashed her mobile phone, punched her on multiple occasions, grabbed her by the throat, dragged her by her hair and smashed her TV. He also ripped out a cooker and damaged a TV unit on 2 November.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of criminal damage, three counts of assault by beating and one count of common assault. Subjected partner to four months of assaults and property damage.

Cameron Black, 22, of Gosberton near Spalding, Lincolnshire, was arrested on March 3 when officers conducted a warrant at a property in Downham Market. Two mobile phones, £690 in cash and a notebook containing a list of names and contact details were seized. Additional warrants in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, located Class A drugs and the deal line phone. Analysis of the phones uncovered bulk messages regarding the sale of Class A drugs and linked the devices to Black, including references to him as 'Cam' and discussions of a previous offence.
Admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as possession of criminal property.

The victim told her parents and police were called. Timewell admitted to police that he touched the girl but claimed he 'didn’t know what he was doing'.
Pleaded guilty. Ordered to sign the sex offenders register until January 2036 and handed sexual harm prevention and restraining orders until April 2036.
Harvey Browne

Harvey Browne, 20, of Moselle Avenue, Haringey, Greater London, carried out the attack at their home in Godmanchester, near Huntingdon, in August 2025. He attempted to force his pregnant girlfriend under bath water before launching a violent tirade of abuse and punching her in the stomach. Concerned neighbours alerted police, who arrested him. While on court bail, he contacted the victim and threatened to kill her, telling her he would 'put her in a coffin' before police could help. He was later arrested for sending communications threatening death or serious harm.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and making threats to kill. He was also handed a restraining order.

Adam Dunn, 37, of Hinchcliffe, Orton Goldhay, entered City Car Auctions in Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough via a fire exit just before 6am on July 19, 2025, setting off the alarm. He kicked multiple doors, punched a control panel and left empty-handed. He returned around 12.45pm, was challenged by staff and escorted away. At around 3.10pm he returned again, took keys and smashed windows of multiple vehicles on the forecourt. Between visits he stole an energy drink, fuel card and sunglasses from Evolve Technologies in Milnyard Square, Orton Southgate and an unlocked vehicle.
Admitted to two counts of burglary, criminal damage and theft from a motor vehicle.

Henry Hart, 40, formerly of Stanningfield near Bury St Edmunds, knew the victim who was 13 years old at the time. He used the social media platform Snapchat to send her sexual messages and incited her to engage in sexual activity by penetration. A friend reported concerns to the victim's family, who informed the police.
Found guilty of all three charges following a six-day trial after previously denying two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a girl aged under 16 and one count of inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity by penetration. Made subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), indefinite restraining order, and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
Joshua Munton

Joshua Munton was refused entry to a bar in Stamford town centre on the night of Friday December 12 2025 and took a dislike to the victim, who was speaking to door staff. Munton followed the victim to Red Lion Square, where he instigated a confrontation and produced a knife, stabbing the victim twice in the abdomen. The victim, a man in his 20s, required immediate medical treatment and underwent surgery.
Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. This included two years for grievous bodily harm, with a consecutive three-year sentence for the drugs offences. He also received a concurrent 12-month sentence for possession of the knife used in the assault.

Cieren Brownsword, 35, of Trelowen Way, Hempsted, Peterborough, was tailgating other drivers on the A15 in Hampton in his black Land Rover Discovery when officers spotted him at about 2.35am on 21 December. When illuminated with blue lights, he failed to stop and led a seven-minute pursuit through Hampton along Clayburn Road, breaking speed limits including nearly 60mph in a 30mph zone, driving on the wrong side of the road, ignoring red lights, mounting pavements, going the wrong side of a keep left bollard and nearly colliding with oncoming traffic. The pursuit ended in Southwold Drive, Hampton, when he reached concrete bollards. He blew 68ugs, nearly twice the drink drive limit.
Admitted drink driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop.

A member of staff fled the shop and called the police. Following a tip-off from the public, he was arrested at a house in Prince Close, Eaton Ford, St Neots.

Linden Chirico, 38, of Close Road, Pavenham, near Bedford, sexually abused a teenage girl over a seven-month period, touching her and getting her to touch him inappropriately multiple times between January and July 2022. All offences happened in East Cambridgeshire.
Found guilty of two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl and one count each of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl and causing/inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity – no penetration. Also handed a 10-year restraining order, an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. Admitted offences in first police interview but denied in second.

Thomas Kelly met the deceased man and another person at a property in Cambridge in December 2025 and brought along some ketamine, which they all took. Later that evening, Kelly noticed the man had passed out and was not breathing. The other member of the group began CPR while Kelly called for an ambulance. Emergency services attended, but the man in his 40s could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pleaded guilty to supplying a Class B drug.

Ramazan Koksal was arrested during an immigration operation at a takeaway in High Street, Brandon, on February 13, 2026, as part of a crackdown on cash-intensive businesses suspected of modern slavery. Officers saw a man in dark clothing leave via the back and followed him. Koksal entered a car, and when an immigration officer opened the door and indicated for him to stop, he revved the engine and reversed the vehicle while the officer held on. A taser was used, and Koksal was arrested. The officer was uninjured. He possessed fake identity documents.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of false identity documents with intent. Denied charge of assault on an immigration officer, left on file. Received eight points on licence for driving without insurance and three points for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Fake documents destroyed and ordered to pay £370 confiscation order.
Mark Smith

On 27 January, at a property in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, Mark Smith, 42, who has no fixed address, was involved in a disturbance. He acted erratically, barricaded himself in a bedroom, hurled abuse at police, and refused to come out. When officers forced entry, he threw a chair at them before being arrested. Police found 21 wraps of crack cocaine and five wraps of heroin on him, packaged for onward supply.
Pleaded guilty to being involved in supplying crack cocaine and heroin, plus assaulting a police officer. Has no fixed address.
George Davey
Sexual offences against children *

George Davey, 76, of Shelthorpe Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, sexually abused multiple young girls over decades. He abused his first victim between 1975 and 1985, a second between 1983 and 1986, a third between 1995 and 2003, a fourth between 2001 and 2002 and again in 2022, and a fifth in 1993. He also exposed himself to a woman between 2019 and 2020. The crimes were reported in December 2022 by one victim, prompting others to come forward.
Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. DC Louise Wick noted the sentence reflects the gravity of the predatory abuse and harm to victims, praising their courage.
Hamdard Khan

Hamdard Khan, 18, from Leicester, was involved in a violent altercation at Central Park, Peterborough, on March 9, 2025, where a gun was fired, leaving five spent casings and a folding lock knife. CCTV identified him, and a search of his home uncovered cocaine and heroin worth £1,310, £400 cash, 60 blank firing rounds, a machete, and an extendable baton. While on bail, on November 26, 2025, he and Rihaem Khan engaged in another affray in Geneva Street, Peterborough, involving wood, a knife, punches, and a brick, resulting in minor injuries including a head cut requiring hospital treatment.

Jj Smith, 21, of Green Lane, Northstowe, targeted homes in 15 locations across Cambridgeshire and Essex, including Haddenham, Ickleton, Stretham, Isleham, Brinkley, Longstanton, Over, Castle Camps, Weston Colville, Fowlmere, Cottenham, Histon, and Sturmer, over nine months from May to December. He stole thousands of pounds' worth of garden tools, machinery, fishing equipment, and a Seat Ateca. He also attempted to break into homes in Soham, Brinkley, and Histon. His offending escalated from thefts to dwelling burglaries, stealing cars, and evading police.
Pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary, four attempted burglaries with intent to steal, theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft, theft from a shop, two counts of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, making off without making payment, and driving without insurance. Caused significant distress to residents.
Raul Maretic-Ramon

He denied the charge but was found guilty following a trial at Cambridge Crown Court in December.

He punched the victim multiple times and stamped on him while he was unconscious. The victim suffered cuts to his face and head and was taken to hospital. Harris was arrested nearby later that day.

Kyle Harry

On December 23, 2025, Kyle Harry, 36, of Prince Street, Wisbech, was at the Wheatsheaf Inn in Church Terrace, Wisbech, where he and a woman were involved in an argument with another man in the outside area of the pub. Harry punched the victim multiple times and stamped on him while he was unconscious. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for cuts on his face and head. Harris was found nearby later that day and arrested.
DC Lauren McKeever commented that Harris’ actions were shameful and there is no place for such violence in Wisbech.
Patrick Smith

On December 3, Patrick Smith was stopped by police in Cubitt Way, Woodston, Peterborough, for being with known drug users. When told he was detained for a search, he drove away at high speed, mounting the kerb and nearly hitting officers and bollards. Police found his car in Earl Spencer Court and arrested him nearby. A large ball of Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) was found hidden in a discarded beer can near where he was loitering. He also possessed £290 in cash.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, possession of criminal property (£290 cash), and obstructing an officer. £290 cash ordered to be paid to Cambridge Recovery Service.
Mindaugas Borisas

On July 30, 2025, at around 4.25pm, Mindaugas Borisas, 56, was driving a Mercedes lorry on the southbound carriageway of the A1 between Stibbington and Water Newton when he crashed into the back of a stopped Skoda Octavia estate driven by Geoff Brock, 73, of Hillcrest in Bar Hill, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash also involved a blue Kia Cee'd estate and a Mercedes Van.

Halil Akyuz, 27, of Treeway in Chatteris, was the passenger in a black Ford Focus stopped by police on Bridge Street in Chatteris on August 26, 2023. The car was of interest due to the driver previously failing to stop for officers. Akyuz was arrested, and analysis of his seized phone revealed photographs and videos of cannabis being grown, screenshots of large financial transfers, high-value watches, and bundles of cash.

On 20 November, neighbourhood officers spotted a black BMW with fake number plates on Bury Road in Ramsey. The vehicle accelerated away, reaching 80mph in a 40mph zone on the B1040 towards Warboys, overtaking other vehicles. It stopped before the Kings Ripton junction, where driver Stanley Rose and passenger Isiah Thurston fled on foot but were caught. Thurston threw a bag containing wraps of cannabis and cocaine worth up to £7,380, plus £40 cash. Additional £84 was found in his pocket. The BMW contained two mobile phones, scales, a knife, and £1,075 cash.

Alan Russell, 46, of Princes Street, Peterborough, followed a female colleague to the women’s toilet at their workplace in Huntingdon in April 2025. CCTV footage showed him waiting for the victim to close the cubicle door before entering the toilets while filming on his phone. This incident breached a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) imposed by Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court in July 2015 after his conviction for multiple voyeurism offences, which prohibited him from entering female toilets, loitering within 10m of public toilets, or entering female changing rooms.

Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin *

Hamilton De Jesus, 27, flaunted his expensive £2,000 Louis Vuitton trainers while dealing crack cocaine and heroin in Peterborough. Police raided his flat on Bringhurst on 21 October, catching him red-handed in bed. Officers discovered 15 wraps of crack and heroin concealed inside a black gilet wrapped in cling film. They also seized cannabis, £1,310 in cash, and the pricey trainers along with a receipt confirming their £2,220 price tag.
Admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, pleaded guilty to possession of criminal property, and cannabis possession.

Shazad Ahmad Shabir, 38, a major figure in a multimillion-pound drug ring operating in Cambridgeshire and a Peterborough resident, was arrested in November 2021 by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit following revelations from the infiltrated EncroChat messaging platform. Decrypted messages exposed his key role in organising large shipments of heroin and cocaine, alongside moving hundreds of thousands of pounds in illicit cash. He attempted to flee the courthouse minutes before his trial by crashing his car while driving the wrong way down a road but was returned to custody.
Pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply 11kg of cocaine and 4kg of heroin, with an estimated street value of £2.2 million. Also pleaded guilty to three counts of money laundering.
Samuel Jackson
Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent *

On May 26, Samuel Jackson visited the victim's home in Kathleen Elliott Way, Cambridge, between 6am and 7am. They shared a beer; Jackson admitted to smoking crack cocaine beforehand. They walked to a nearby shop for coffee and food, returning at 8am. Jackson then entered the kitchen, emerged with a knife, and launched an unprovoked attack, stabbing the 42-year-old woman multiple times in the chest like a 'crazed animal'. One wound narrowly missed her heart. She fought for her life in hospital for several days and was told she was lucky to survive. Jackson fled through a bathroom window, ran through gardens, and was stopped by workers at Cambridge Airport runway before arrest.
Found not guilty of attempted murder after a five-day trial. Pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent. Judge considered the severity of the harm caused.
Patryk Malinowski

Patryk Malinowski, of Akeman Street, Cambridge, entered a gated courtyard near student accommodation at St Catharine’s College at about 11pm on 25 January 2025. A college porter confronted him and asked him several times to leave but Malinowski swore at him and replied that he “wasn’t going anywhere”. Sitting in his wheelchair, Malinowski took a beer bottle from his coat and smashed it on the ground as the porter walked away, before throwing a full wine bottle towards him. Malinowski then left the enclosed courtyard but remained by the railings. He reached through and set fire to a laundry basket inside the area. The porter was able to extinguish the fire. But Malinowski then wheeled himself into the car park and set fire to a rubbish bin before opening the fuel cap of a car. He attempted to start a fire underneath it and punched the offside wing mirror, causing two dents. He shoved a handful of twigs and grass into the fuel tank and tried to light them, but his lighter failed. Malinowski caused about £800 of damage and was arrested shortly afterwards.
Pleaded guilty to arson and attempted arson. One count of criminal damage and one count of common assault were ordered to lie on file.
Kane Haynes
Supply of crack cocaine and heroin *

Kane Haynes, 26, of Harrier Way, Market Deeping, was stopped by police while driving a Ford Kuga in Wainman Road, Woodston, Peterborough on October 28, 2025. He attempted to grab a red iPhone on the passenger seat, but it was retrieved by an officer, leading to his arrest. Analysis of phones linked to him revealed bulk messages advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.
Admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. No class A drugs were recovered, but phone evidence showed involvement in supplying these substances.
Gary Smith
Outraging public decency *

On July 31, 2025, Gary Smith was witnessed committing a blatant and disgusting sex act near the Grove Street play area in Fletton, Peterborough. He was found laying down with his trousers and belt undone. This incident breached his existing criminal behaviour order.
Changed plea to guilty on the day of the hearing. In breach of a criminal behaviour order prohibiting attendance at public parkland or gardens until 2029.
Alexander Johnston
Possessing child abuse images *

Alexander Johnston, a former teacher at Bishop's Stortford College in Hertfordshire, plied his victim with alcohol and created child abuse images between 1976 and 1979 while employed there. He retained the images for over 50 years until they were recovered by police as evidence. Due to legislation at the time, he could not be convicted of creating the images but was charged with possession.
Pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse images on the first day of his trial. Placed on the Sexual Offenders' Register for 10 years. Described as a 'dangerous predator' who took advantage of a position of power.
Haider Ali

Haider Ali, 27, of Ambury Hill, Huntingdon, was caught driving dangerously in a black Vauxhall Mokka on March 31, 2024, at around 10.40pm in Coneygear Road, Huntingdon. Officers followed him after he drove in a loop, then he turned into Thames Road, drove over the kerb at around 50 mph in a 30 mph limit, went off-road along an alleyway onto Nene Road, and crashed. He attempted to flee but was arrested nearby.
Found guilty of dangerous driving following a trial. PC Chester Lewis commented that Ali’s driving was incredibly dangerous and could have put pedestrians and other road users at serious risk of harm.
