Robert Payne, 39, of Alice Bell Close, Cambridge, slapped his ex-partner after an argument while walking near St Barnabas Church in Mill Road, Cambridge on August 21, 2025. The next day, on August 22, 2025, while cycling along Trumpington Road, he deliberately knocked her off her bike, causing her to fly over the handlebars and sustain facial injuries. Their relationship ended on August 27, 2025, after another argument, but that evening Payne turned up at her home in Trumpington and tried to get in by smashing her bedroom window. Cambridgeshire Police arrested him that night, during which he kicked an officer in the torso.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault by beating and assault of a constable in the execution of their duty. Also pleaded guilty to criminal damage, which was ordered to lie on file.

On 5 December 2025, Nigel Hensby, 27, of Drayton Road, Norwich, went to the Cambridge Youth Foyer in Rustat Close a day after his release from prison. He demanded to see his former partner to retrieve a mobile phone but was refused entry by staff. He threatened to smash the door down and petrol bomb the building. After the staff member hid and called the police, Hensby set fire to Christmas decorations in the reception area using a lighter and fled. No one was hurt. He was arrested shortly after in Station Road, Cambridge, and admitted starting the fire.
Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. Had served a prior nine-month sentence for possession of a knife and a public order offence.

Arrested at the station, officers discovered £750 cash, 19 bags of cocaine, and two mobile phones with messages evidencing drug dealing and no exploitation. Further checks revealed he was in the UK illegally, had repeated the same story elsewhere, and failed asylum under various names.

He touched her inappropriately and acknowledged her age and the risks involved. The grooming was discovered by the girl's parents through deleted screenshots and a WhatsApp chat, leading to further evidence including a handwritten note. Vu denied wrongdoing initially but pleaded guilty at Cambridge Crown Court in December.

Despite arrest and bail conditions not to contact her or approach her house, he breached them by turning up with letters and a necklace, making a hoax 999 call claiming she had died, stalking her at Peterborough City Hospital, and making two further hoax calls to police to check on her welfare. He also admitted in September 2025 to breaching bail by texting her.
Pleaded guilty to stalking and persistently making use of a public communication network to cause annoyance/inconvenience/anxiety. Handed a 10-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim.
Edward Wilby

He was arrested by the Spree Offender Team carrying some of the stolen meat, aided by information sharing via the Disc platform from Peterborough Positive.

Chemseddine Lahouel-Guettala

On 6 June 2023, Chemseddine Lahouel-Guettala lured a vulnerable man to a house in Cambridge after meeting at WT’s pub. The victim was beaten, held captive for at least four hours, stamped on, threatened with death and burial in Barnwell area, bundled into a car, and robbed of his phone and bank card. £200 was withdrawn from his account, and an attempt was made to transfer £6,000 to Lahouel-Guettala's account. The victim escaped, flagged down a passerby who called 999, and suffered bruising, black eyes, blood stains, swelling to scalp and skull, and a fractured and displaced right eye socket with reduced movement. Blood evidence was found at the house. Lahouel-Guettala was arrested at Luton Airport on 20 June 2023 while planning to flee.
Found guilty by majority verdict after trial. Judge Sean Enright noted the victim was lured for robbery, held for at least four hours, suffered serious injury, and was vulnerable and targeted.

Shannon White, 31, of Verde Close, Eye, near Peterborough, sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s at the Chubby Castor restaurant on Peterborough Road, Castor, around October 18, 2024. The victim rejected his advances, but White ignored her, put his hands around her neck, applied pressure, whispered sexual comments, and touched her several times while resisting her attempts to push him away. After the incident, officers examining White's phone discovered he had used a fake WhatsApp generator to create a message pretending it was from the victim to use as his defence.
Found guilty of sexual assault by a judge. Attempted to cover up the crime using a fake WhatsApp generator.

Craig Squires, 43, of New Street, Cambridge, was involved in a violent attempted robbery on Mill Road, Cambridge, on July 24 at 4.35pm. The victim, 42, had parked his electric e-scooter when approached by a group of men including Squires, who showed interest in the vehicle. After the victim locked it and walked away, one man tampered with the lock. When the victim intervened, the group surrounded him, threatened him with a knife pressed into his back, punched him in the jaw, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him repeatedly. The assault was interrupted by a couple filming, causing the group to disperse. Footage showed Squires picking up the scooter and claiming it as his. He was identified and arrested using the recording.
Pleaded guilty to attempted robbery. Detective Constable Deborah Vyse noted the frightening and unprovoked attack with unacceptable level of violence.
Viktoras Mankus

Fearing for her life, the victim ran upstairs, locked herself in a bedroom, and called the police, remaining there until officers arrived and arrested Mankus.

He first stole three filters from the Needingworth Road, St Ives store on December 5, 2025, hiding them in a black shopping bag and paying for other items at checkout. He returned to the same store five more times between December 5, 2025, and January 10, 2026, using the same tactic. He also stole from the Lincoln Road, Peterborough store on December 26, 2025, and January 5, 2026. Police arrested him at his home in Yaxley on January 17, 2026, finding around 200 filters in his property and car boot.
Admitted seven counts of theft from a shop. PC Charlie Brett noted the pre-planned and targeted nature of the crimes, with intent to sell stolen goods online.

Logan Cook, 24, was driving a stolen Toyota Yaris at around 45mph in a 30mph limit on Exeter Road, Peterborough, on January 18, 2026. The car had been stolen two days earlier on Taverners Road, Peterborough. He was spotted by police on Dogsthorpe Road and followed to his home on Vere Road. Cook denied stealing the car but claimed he purchased it the previous day.
Admitted to driving without due care and attention, driving whilst disqualified, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and handling stolen goods. DC George Corney commented that his driving was unacceptable and put other road users in danger.

Daniel Loates, 40, of no fixed address, stole more than £2000 worth of goods from multiple shops in Wisbech 16 times between October and December 2025. He targeted shops including Tesco in Kirkgate Street, Tesco Express in Cromwell Road, Londis in Norwich Road, and Holland and Barrett in Norfolk Street, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Items stolen included Ferrero Rocher, alcohol, meat, and electronics. He was identified via CCTV footage after reports to police.

Yaser Karuk, 33, of Grange Road, West Town, Peterborough, was seen by Cambridgeshire Police travelling at speed in Mayor’s Walk, West Town, Peterborough at around 2.40am on November 19, 2025. He refused to stop for police and continued onto Almoners Lane and through to Ledbury Road in Netherton, reaching 80mph in a 30mph zone, ignoring traffic signs and driving on the wrong side of the road. Officers lost sight but caught up in Artherstone Avenue, Westwood, around 20 minutes later; he again refused to pull over, drove through ‘no entry’ signs, and became airborne over speed bumps at high speed in Gladstone Street, Millfield, causing his back number plate to fall off. He was stopped and arrested in Woodfield Road, West Town.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving whilst disqualified and driving without a licence. PC Matt Panks commented on the reckless driving posing serious risk to public.

Darnell Baverstock, 27, of Eastfield Road, Peterborough, went on a stealing spree starting on November 24, 2025, when he stole laundry products worth more than £200 from an Aldi in Bretton, Peterborough. He attempted to steal bottles of alcohol from a nearby Sainsbury's but was challenged by security staff, who recovered the items; he escaped but returned two days later to steal alcohol and other items worth more than £230 from the same Sainsbury's. On November 30, he stole a bank card belonging to a woman in New England, Peterborough. He stole over £300 worth of items from a Sainsbury's on Oxney Road on December 2 and from a Co-op in Loxley on December 7.
Admitted to five counts of theft from a shop, attempted theft from a shop, and theft from a person. Given a three-year criminal behaviour order banning him from Sainsbury's and Tesco in Cambridgeshire as well as the Co-op in Loxley, the Aldi in Bretton, and the Bretton Shopping Park.

Christopher Pearson, 38, of Eastfield Road, Peterborough, befriended a 79-year-old pensioner through church coffee and cake sessions, where the victim had previously helped him pay bills. In October 2024, after the pensioner refused to give him £20 immediately, Pearson sent demanding messages and broke into the victim's home in the Millfield area of Peterborough by smashing the back door glass, cutting his hand in the process. He stole a TV, sound bar, laptop, and 150 Euros. On the same day, he stole a bike from the city's train station by wedging open the door to the bike hub and using snips to break the lock, but was arrested shortly after.
Originally denied the offences but pleaded guilty in July to burglary, theft of a pedal cycle, going equipped and failing to surrender to court. DC Megan Sims described it as a despicable breach of trust.

Christopher Bradshaw, 32, from March, contacted decoy accounts run by an online child abuse activist group posing as children aged 13 and 14 in May. Despite knowing their ages, he initiated explicit sexual conversations, shared his phone number to continue on WhatsApp, and used a fake name on his accounts. Officers traced the phone number back to him and arrested him.
Pleaded guilty to inciting a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity and failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements. Detective Sergeant Rob Hutchings noted Bradshaw is clearly a risk to children.
Jackson Kyeremeh

Jackson Kyeremeh, 38, of Whinfell Close, Eaton Socon, St Neots, was spotted carrying out a suspected drug deal by officers on patrol in the Woodston area of Peterborough on June 16, 2025. He made off from officers but dropped 15 wraps of crack cocaine and four wraps of heroin as he fled. The following day, officers visited his partner’s home after seeing his car parked outside and saw him throw another package of drugs from a first-floor rear window. He was arrested.
Pled guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin. Initially denied involvement but changed plea in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Joseph McEnaney, 31, of Carey Close, Ely, began abusing his wife in February 2025, three months after they married. He forced her to choose between him and her children from a previous relationship, and threatened to kill her and the children. In March, he punched her in the face and hit her head against the car door after accusing her of infidelity, then later woke her, picked her up by the throat, threw her to the floor, and punched and kicked her in the head. Days later, he bit her lip, threw her onto the bed, punched her, and pinned her down by the neck, restricting her breathing. In June, he grabbed her by the throat, pushed her against a door, and prodded a knife around her head, dragging it down her face and making a small cut. He also ridiculed her about her weight in front of others at a gym. The victim fled their home and reached a safe place later in June.
Pleaded guilty to engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate/family relationship, two counts of intentional strangulation, and three counts of actual bodily harm (ABH). One count of intentional strangulation ordered to lie on file. Detective Emily South described the case as shocking coercive control and violence, commending the victim's bravery.

Michael Bell, 68, of High Street in Yelling, St Neots, owned a shop in South Cambridgeshire. Between March and July 2021, he sexually assaulted a volunteer at the shop on seven counts by touching her body over her clothing multiple times over the four-month period. The incidents came to light on August 6, 2022, after he inappropriately touched a customer who reported it to the police.
Found guilty of seven counts of sexual assault after trial. Also received an indefinite restraining order and must register under the Sexual Offences Act for 10 years. DC Andy Watters commented that this type of behaviour should never be tolerated.

Stephan Mann, 41, of Valerian Gardens, Soham, launched a drunken attack on his partner on Christmas Day 2024. He had been verbally abusive throughout the day, accusing her of infidelity, and told a friend he wished she was dead. He threatened to hurt and kill her multiple times. At about 4pm, he tackled her to the floor and stamped on her head while threatening to kill her. His friend intervened, allowing the victim to escape and call the police.
Admitted actual bodily harm and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour. Detective Constable James Lewis commented on the barrage of threats and violence, hoping the sentence allows the victim to move on.
Fabio Sanches-Kuiper

On November 10, 2025, in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire, police spotted a Ford Focus with no insurance or tax parked with multiple people inside. As officers approached, driver Fabio Sanches-Kuiper sped off, leading a pursuit through built-up estates, across a park, and along a pedestrian footpath. The car lost control on a bend and crashed into a house and a parked car in Ashmead Drive. Sanches-Kuiper and others fled but he fell while attempting to escape and was arrested at the scene. He drove at speeds up to 110mph on rural roads, swerved in front of cars, drove through red lights, and went the wrong way round a roundabout. He reversed into a police car in Lincoln Road, Werrington, Peterborough, to stop. Luke Jarrett, 26, of Lords Lane, Wisbech, was arrested in 2024 after police seized his electronic devices and found 703 indecent images of children, 771 videos, 638 extreme pornographic images, and 288 indecent photographs of a child that had been distributed. He was on bail and scheduled to appear at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on September 22, 2025, for charges relating to illicit images of children. On that day, at about 9am, officers spotted him driving a green Jeep Cherokee on the A47 from Thorney Toll towards Wisbech. He failed to stop, accelerated aggressively, recklessly overtook vehicles by moving into the path of oncoming traffic, and reached speeds of 64mph in a 50mph zone. Police made tactical contact with the vehicle, causing it to swerve across the road and roll onto its side.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, one count of distributing an indecent image of a child, three counts of making an indecent image of a child, two further counts of distributing an indecent photograph of a child, and possessing an extreme pornographic image. Also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register, and banned from driving for 5 years and 4 months.

Just after midnight on Sunday, October 26, 2025, officers in Soham spotted a silver Mercedes A150 with no insurance. Ramadan accelerated away at high speed, leading police on a six-minute pursuit reaching 72mph in a 50mph zone, overtaking a lorry on a blind bend, and later 80mph in a 60mph zone towards Ely. A stinger device was used, but he continued driving before abandoning the car and fleeing on foot into a nearby field, where he was arrested. He had two passengers in the vehicle.
Pleaded guilty to all five offences. PC Oliver Wadsworth commented that Ramadan put the lives of his two passengers and other road users at risk while driving dangerously over a prolonged period of time.
Shoaib Mohammed

Between November and March, Shoaib Mohammed, aged 25, of no fixed address, facilitated a drug dealing operation across Huntingdon, coercing a vulnerable drug user into storing large quantities of class A drugs in their home. Bartlomiej Bialecki, 40, of Monument Street, Peterborough, was stopped by officers in Fletton Avenue, Fletton, Peterborough, at about 11.55pm on August 25, 2025. He sped off in a Mazda 3 with false number plates before getting out and running at the junction of Whittlesey Road and South Street, in Stanground. Bialecki was tasered and arrested before being taken to Peterborough City Hospital. The following day, while still under arrest and leaving the hospital with officers, Bialecki tried to run but was quickly caught.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, fraudulently using a registration mark, escaping from lawful custody, driving with no insurance and driving with no licence.

Paul Norris, aged 67, of Lynton Way, Sawston, secretly recorded intimate sexual acts of a woman in Stevenage without her knowledge between March 10, 2017, and August 28, 2018. Dodou Manneh, 19, of Hanbury, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, was a back seat passenger in a Citroen car pulled over by neighbourhood officers on patrol in Huntingdon in June 2023 at Wertheim Way. He was searched and found to have cannabis, a mobile phone, and more than £1,000 in his possession. A further search in custody revealed 43 wraps of crack cocaine and 27 wraps of heroin concealed in his underwear, with a street value of more than £1,000. In a separate incident on January 30, 2024, Manneh was stopped in Bridge Street, Peterborough, for an unrelated matter and provided his mobile phone to officers, which was later confirmed to be the 'deal line' for a Class A drugs line operating in Peterborough, sending bulk messaging offering the sale of crack cocaine and heroin.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of criminal property.

On August 1, 2025, at about 6am, Devon Cox, 27, of Huntly Grove, Peterborough, punched and kicked a 42-year-old man repeatedly outside The Light Project homeless charity in Gravel Walk. Cox, wielding a wrench, pressed it into the victim's neck and demanded £500, threatening him and marching him along Bridge Street to Broadway to withdraw the money from a cash machine. After further punches and throwing the victim to the ground, the victim escaped by jumping on a nearby bus and received hospital treatment for serious facial injuries.
Pleaded guilty to ABH. DC Jake Boreham-Dennis stated this was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who bravely refused demands and escaped, offering reassurance that justice has been served and violence will not be tolerated.

DNA evidence proved the assault, leading to a unanimous guilty verdict by a jury following a trial in July.

He was verbally abusive, pressured her for money, isolated her from friends, accused her of cheating, and raised his fist in a threatening manner. He also threatened a friend who posted a photo with the woman. Police arrested him at Cambridge Railway Station on July 29 after discovering his ongoing behaviour.
Admitted to the offences of harassment by breaching a restraining order and coercive and controlling behaviour. He had previously been given a restraining order and failed to comply.

John Smith, 55, of no fixed address, participated in a violent robbery at Emporium antiques and jewellery shop in Fishers Yard, St Neots, on December 23, 2024, just after 11am. Four masked men, armed with hammers, crowbars, and a metal pole, reversed a Ford Fiesta into the front door and stormed inside. Smith guarded the door with a metal pole during the ordeal where two women, a mother and daughter in their 60s and 40s, were threatened and display cabinets were smashed, stealing gold and silver jewellery worth up to £100,000. The daughter sustained a broken ankle when struck by the fleeing car. The car was driven dangerously through Market Square, wrong way on one-way streets, damaging street furniture, and narrowly missing members of the public. The vehicle was abandoned on Alington Road. Stolen jewellery was later found hidden in a rotting tree using police dog Hunter and CCTV evidence linked the suspects.
