He stole items including toothbrushes, clothing worth more than £500, cash from tills, a mobile phone, bank cards, alcohol, cigarettes, and fragrances. The crimes occurred between February 8 and February 17 at locations such as Superdrug, John Lewis, Café Arena, Marks and Spencer, Co-Op, Ta Bouche, and Savers. He used a hammer to break windows and was identified via CCTV.
Pleaded guilty to eight counts of burglary and two counts of theft.

Officers uncovered his drug running after arresting him on 29 July 2024, finding three mobile phones and a lock knife.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of a knife in a public place.

Adam Farag, from Epsom, groomed and sexually abused a vulnerable young girl, exploiting her to store and deliver drugs as part of a county lines operation involving cocaine and heroin. Additionally, he was involved in a road rage incident on May 15, 2024, where he used an axe and a knife to threaten another motorist.
Pled guilty to multiple charges, including threatening a person with a knife and possessing a bladed article. DC Sarah Knights commented that he targeted and exploited a vulnerable young girl and is capable of serious violence.

Trevor Smith, 61, of South Brink, Wisbech, subjected his wife to decades of abuse throughout their 40-year relationship, including habitual rape (usually weekly), beatings, and controlling behaviour. He controlled finances, barred her from having a phone, bolted doors to prevent leaving, and spent money on himself. When children were young, he ordered her into a caravan for sexual assaults. On January 22, 2024, in an unprovoked attack in their kitchen, he approached from behind, grabbed her T-shirt, and stabbed her causing up to 20 puncture wounds to her neck and arms, attempting to slash her throat. Family members intervened after hearing screams.
Found guilty following a trial last September of attempted murder, six counts of rape, attempted rape, three counts of assault by penetration, two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour, assault by beating and two counts of child cruelty.

Stanley Rose, 20, of Clayway, Ely, drove onto a footpath in New Barns Road, Ely, on the evening of 2 January, narrowly missing a pedestrian and forcing a woman to jump out of the way after spotting a marked police car. He was arrested a week later and charged with dangerous driving, driving a conveyance without consent, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, use of fraudulent plates, and fraud by false representation related to using someone else’s fuel card to buy £912.55 of petrol at Welcome Break Services in Chatteris over 12 occasions between 12 May and 5 June of the previous year.
Admitted the offences. Sergeant Paul Delmer commented that it was fortunate no one was injured by his actions.
Safa Lawan

The 16-year-old boy from Cambridge and an accomplice robbed a 15-year-old victim of his e-bike at knifepoint at Cherry Hinton Recreation Ground at about 6.25pm on 2 April 2025. The main offender was armed with a large kitchen knife, used it to enforce the robbery, and attempted to stab the victim. After a scuffle resulting in minor injuries to the victim's face, abdomen, and hands, the victim took the knife and discarded it in a nearby bush while seeking help. The incident was filmed by a member of the public, leading to the identification and arrest of the two teenagers the following day.
Pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a knife in a public place. Judge Andrew Hurst described his actions as wholly reckless with a highly dangerous weapon and the boy as totally out of control.
Marcus Cresswell

On 1 October 2021, Marcus Cresswell spent several hours drinking at a premises in Lancing before getting behind the wheel of a Ford Transit van. He reversed into other cars in the car park and then drove the wrong way onto the A27, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision. He then drove between two lanes of queuing traffic, colliding with vehicles on both sides and causing damage to at least 11 vehicles. His van was so extensively damaged that its wheels fell off. Cresswell fled the scene on foot and was detained by members of the public in a nearby field; when officers arrived, he claimed he had not been the driver and was simply smoking cannabis. The van key was found in his possession and witnesses identified him as the driver. In custody, he failed to provide a breath specimen. After failing to appear at earlier court dates, he was eventually arrested in Cambridgeshire and remanded in custody.
Admitted charges of dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, driving other than in accordance with a licence, criminal damage to a police cell and driving without valid insurance. Also disqualified from driving for five and a half years. Had failed to attend previous court hearings and was arrested on a warrant.
Lirim Shiqerukaj

Lirim Shiqerukaj hid a stash of cocaine inside a hairbrush and was found by police after parking his blue Jaguar on Matthew Wren Close, Little Downham, on March 27. Officers discovered £555 in cash and 26 bags of cocaine in the vehicle.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, driving without insurance and without a licence.

Fabian Small, 23, from Leicester, was caught passing a package to a prisoner at HMP Peterborough on March 8, 2025, during visiting hours. The package contained 29.9g of cannabis, 43.4g of tobacco, and seven unknown pills. This incident was linked to a separate Leicestershire police investigation for possession with intent to supply cannabis. The items had significant value inside the prison, with cannabis worth up to £3,000 and tobacco up to £1,500.
Pleaded guilty to taking a prohibited ‘class A’ item into prison (cannabis) and taking a prohibited ‘class C’ item into prison (tobacco). Also sentenced for possession with intent to supply cannabis. Must complete 180 hours of unpaid work and a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement. Detective Constable Katey Shaw noted the high value of the items inside prison.

John Cooper, 65, of Rowan Close, Haverhill, who traded as John’s Menswear, sold fake designer goods including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger, Fred Perry and Lacoste. An investigation was launched after the seizure of 768 counterfeit clothing items from his stall at Bury St Edmunds market in August 2023, with an estimated street value of £21,171.16. He had been advised by Trading Standards in March 2023 but continued selling the goods, which were also advertised on Facebook. Covert test purchases confirmed the items were counterfeit.
Pleaded guilty to five offences under the Trade Marks Act 1994. Order under Proceeds of Crime Act granted for financial investigation.

Raymond Brown, 67, from Fulbourn, fraudulently claimed to be homeless to apply for council housing through the high priority need homelessness process while renting out a private property. He failed to disclose his private property ownership or rental income during the application and tenancy. The fraud was uncovered following an anonymous referral to the fraud team. He was offered the opportunity to surrender his council house keys voluntarily under the key amnesty scheme but did not do so.
Pleaded guilty to temporary housing application fraud, permanent housing application fraud and council tax support fraud. Had to surrender council tenancy and proceedings begun to recover financial loss to South Cambridgeshire District Council.

Burak Iscioglu, 39, of Bethnal Green, East London, breached a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) issued in January 2024 six times between 5 August and 9 November 2024 by stealing or attempting to steal bicycles or parts in Cambridge, caught on CCTV each time. He was also caught stealing an electric scooter in October 2024 and driving off on it before arrest. On 9 November 2024, he entered a house and stole unopened parcels from inside the door. On 5 December 2024, he was arrested attempting to steal a bicycle and found in possession of two pairs of wire cutters, a multi-tool, and two unopened parcels not addressed to him.
Admitted to two counts of theft, one count of going equipped for theft, two counts of theft of mail, two counts of theft of a pedal cycle, six counts of breaching a CBO, one count of theft of conveyance and one count of taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. New CBO bans him from Cambridge for 10 years.

Jay Woodgate, 28, of Eastfield Road, Peterborough, crashed his BMW into a parked car in Broadway at about 4am on 15 December and failed to stop. He led police on a high-speed pursuit, driving at nearly double the 30mph speed limit on Eye Road, ignoring a keep left bollard, turning right onto the Frank Perkins Parkway, driving through red traffic lights at Eye roundabout, re-joining the parkway at speeds over 90mph, going the wrong way around the Boongate roundabout, driving along St Johns Street, crossing a mini roundabout in the wrong lane, continuing onto Rivergate, and travelling at 65mph along London Road before crashing into traffic lights at the junction with Fletton Avenue. He attempted to hide in nearby undergrowth but was arrested and failed a roadside alcohol breath test with a reading more than double the limit. He was taken to hospital as a precaution and refused to provide a blood sample.
Admitted to failing to stop after a road accident, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and driving without insurance. PC Mark Draper commented that Woodgate's reckless behaviour could have resulted in serious injury or death and showed complete disregard for others' safety.

Bradley Faponle ran a criminal enterprise supplying class A drugs, specifically crack cocaine and heroin, between London and Cambridge as a county lines dealer from June 2024 to January 2025. Police raided his home in Beechwood Avenue, Greenford, London, in January 2025, finding more than £2,000 in cash, a Rolex watch which could not be accounted for, and a mobile phone with messages linking him to running the ‘John & Tony’ drugs line.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin and possession of criminal property. Previously sentenced in 2019 to nine years in prison for similar offences.

Cedric Kiyago, 29, was in an unlocked cell at HMP Whitemoor on February 23, 2024, when he noticed another prisoner on the ground being restrained by prison officers. He ran towards the scene, approached the officers from behind, grabbed one officer’s PAVA spray canister, pulled it off the safety cord, hit the same officer over the head with it, and then deployed the PAVA spray at a group of officers restraining another prisoner.
Denied assaulting emergency workers but found guilty following a trial. Sentence to be served after existing sentence for murder.
Ibrahim Hazell

Ibrahim Hazell, 20, from Cambridge, stabbed a man in his 40s in the back with a knife in an unprovoked attack outside the BP garage on Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge in the early hours of 5 April 2024. The victim was buying a pint of milk from the outside night till when Hazell approached from behind and stabbed him. Hazell fled the scene but was later identified following a public CCTV appeal. The victim was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to the lower back and multiple internal injuries, initially leaving him in a critical condition.
Pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The section 41 restriction means he can only be discharged from hospital if the justice secretary agrees.

Mark Bye sexually abused a single boy over a four-year period. The abuse involved multiple serious sexual offences, indecent assaults, and acts of indecency with the child. It occurred while Bye was residing in Acorn Way, Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, Suffolk. The victim described feelings of shame, fear, and disgust, which affected his relationships and daily life. The crimes were reported later, leading to Bye’s prosecution.
Pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including one count of a serious sexual offence with a boy under 16, an attempted serious sexual offence with a boy under 16, eight counts of indecent assault of a child, and three counts of indecency with a child. Travis Setchell, 30, was driving a red Audi A3 on the A1139 at Eye, in Peterborough, just before 4am on 7 December 2024 when he caught the attention of a road policing officer after swerving between lanes. A check revealed incorrect registration plates. He failed to stop, sped off along the A47 towards Wisbech reaching 100mph, went through red lights, failed to slow for roundabouts, and dangerously overtook vehicles. With four passengers in the car, he slammed on brakes and reversed, ramming a police car. He mounted a pavement in Wisbech and rammed another police car before stopping in Lerowe Road. He had an expired licence, no insurance or MOT, blew over the drink drive limit, and cannabis was found in the car.
Pleaded guilty to 13 offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, drink driving, two counts of assault with intent to resist arrest, three counts of criminal damage to a police car, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, fraudulently using registration plates, possession of cannabis and driving without valid MOT. Banned from driving for 3 years and 8 months.

Kyle Marcus Clifford murdered Carol Hunt, Louise Hunt, and Hannah Hunt at their home in Bushey on 9 July 2024. He also raped and falsely imprisoned Louise Hunt during the attack, and possessed offensive weapons. Clifford attempted to evade arrest and showed no remorse.

A warrant was executed at his home in December 2022, recovering stolen vehicles and a mobile phone with evidence linking him to sales of the stolen items.

Grant Henry, 32, of no fixed abode, subjected his partner to possessive and controlling behaviour starting about a month into their relationship between February 2023 and August 2024. He monitored her whereabouts and phone use, controlled her clothing and makeup, and escalated to violent assaults, including breaking into her home and attacking her in a jealous rage. On 3 August 2024, he punched, kicked, and strangled her while she tried to call the police. Despite bail conditions, he bombarded her with threatening messages and repeatedly appeared at her home. On 27 August 2024, he punched her in the face, fracturing her jaw and requiring surgery. He was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour and grievous bodily harm without intent. Judge Hurst described him as 'dangerous' and said he made the victim’s 'life hell and nearly broke her as a human being.' Also handed an indefinite restraining order against the victim.
Sacha Millar

Sacha Millar was arguing with his partner in Victoria Street, Derby, on December 13, 2024, when he hit her in the face and body before grabbing her and dragging her. A passer-by intervened to help, but Millar punched her to the face, knocking her unconscious and leaving her with a broken jaw. After the attack, Millar walked away to a hotel in Full Street where he and his partner were staying, then left soon after. He was arrested four days later in Suffolk.

Fordham asked if he could spare £3, blocked his path when declined, and tried to snatch a money bag containing cash from his window cleaning job. A police raid at his home uncovered 60kg of class A drugs, including packaged 'zombie dust' ready for sale, and blank ammunition in his possession.
