On Saturday, November 22 last year, police were called to Hunsdon Airfield after a silver Nissan Qashqai was reported being used in connection with hare coursing. Officers detained three men, including Johnny Delaney. The men claimed they had permission to be on the land, but enquiries established this was not the case. Two lurcher dogs were found concealed in the boot, and the vehicle and dogs were seized. Delaney was convicted of being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs.

Pleaded not guilty but was convicted after trial. The CBO prohibits entering Hunsdon Airfield, trespassing in Hertfordshire with lurcher or lurcher-type dogs, and associating with others with lurcher-type dogs while trespassing.
