Worthing Magistrates' Court Sentencing Results

Daryl Hunt admitted 13 shoplifting offences at Co-op stores in Worthing between November 2025 and March 2026. The offences took place at the Co-op in South Street, Tarring, where he stole goods including cheese, protein bars, washing powder, chocolate, burgers and sea bass. He appeared before Worthing Magistrates' Court and received a six-month suspended prison sentence.

On January 9, 2026, at around 3.20pm, Paul Hollywood was observed driving his Land Rover Defender at speeds up to 96mph on the M25 in heavy damp traffic, tailgating vehicles at distances of less than five metres and accelerating aggressively to bully cars out of the fast lane. He reached peaks of around 105mph on the M26. He explained his urgency was due to transporting his unwell cat to the vet.

Clive Attrell was arrested in High Street, Angmering, on Tuesday 9 December and charged with driving with 78 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

Patrycja Perzynska was arrested in Ash Close, Littlehampton, on Sunday 7 December and charged with driving with 61 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath and driving while uninsured.

Vasile Duca was arrested in Rectory Road, Worthing, on Monday 8 December while driving a yellow Ford Transit. He provided a breath sample containing 120 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 micrograms.

Richard Cove persistently called Sussex Police's 101 non-emergency number between June 2023 and September 2024, posing as an elderly woman and using false names. He made more than 30 calls, on one day making 60 calls from his mobile device with his number withheld. He asked call handlers personal questions including the size of their feet and attempted to manipulate them into saying phrases such as 'cheesy feet' or 'smelly feet'. His calls amounted to more than three hours of wasted police time and targeted specific departments and officers, including those dealing with serious sexual offences and online child abuse.

In the early hours of November 28, 2023, James Boden fled from police in Bognor Regis during a crackdown on drug dealing and antisocial behaviour. Police dog Billy tracked him to a hiding place between two houses and he was arrested. Officers then recovered cannabis, scales, deal bags and a knife hidden under concrete slabs. Boden later pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in public and possession of cannabis.

Damaged a van to the value of £216 in Chichester on May 24, 2025. A restraining order was imposed.

David Green was found guilty of using or installing a television set without a licence.

David McCulloch was found guilty of three charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent, causing harassment, alarm or distress in Worthing on 8 September 2024. He received three consecutive prison sentences totalling 26 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to pay £450 costs and a £154 victim surcharge. A restraining order was imposed.

David McCullough was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required at Worthing Custody Centre on 14 August 2025, and of assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty in Worthing on the same date. He received a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and a two-week concurrent prison sentence suspended for 12 months, and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

David McDonald drove while disqualified in Shipton Green Lane, West Itchenor, on 24 May 2026.

David Stewart was found guilty of failing to identify a driver when required by Sussex Police at Shoreham on May 25, 2025, and admitted speeding on the A27 Upper Brighton Road, Hillbarn, on January 29, 2025. He was fined £792 and a further £176, ordered to pay £650 costs and a £387 victim surcharge, and disqualified from driving for six months.

Dominic Mizzi breached a community order made by Worthing Magistrates' Court on March 16, 2026 by failing to attend office appointments on April 1 and 22, 2026. The community order was revoked and he was dealt with for the original offence of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent, causing harassment, alarm or distress, racially aggravated, on March 16, 2026.

Duncan Campbell breached a community order made by Worthing Magistrates' Court on September 23, 2025. He failed to attend required appointments on April 16 and April 30, 2026. He admitted the breach and was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Edward Wood admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work and failing to complete education, training and employment requirements.

Elaine Reilly was found guilty of speeding by exceeding 30mph on a restricted road in England. Her driving record was endorsed with four points.

Ellen Osman was found guilty of being the registered keeper of a vehicle that did not meet insurance requirements on 21 January 2026. She was fined and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge.

Emil Dimitrov drove in Station Road, Bognor Regis, on 19 March 2026 with 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, and failed to stop after an accident in which damage was caused to another vehicle.

On July 4 2025 in Ten Acres, Worthing, Emma Clark drove with 57mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was found guilty of drink-driving and fined £180, ordered to pay £250 costs, and disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Emma Wallace drove in Almodington Lane, Earnley, on 11 May 2026 with 51mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She also admitted driving without insurance.

Erzhan Belchet was found guilty of speeding by exceeding 30mph on a restricted road in England. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

Fletcher Johnstone admitted speeding by driving over the 30mph limit in Brighton on October 8, 2025. He was fined £76 and his driving record was endorsed with three points.

Flynn Bailey admitted causing criminal damage to a Sussex Police car window and window frame on the A27 at Crossbush on 19 December 2025, with damage valued at £2,098.52. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £500 compensation.

Frankie Francis admitted breaching a community order made by Worthing Magistrates Court on February 10, 2026, by failing to attend unpaid work on March 16 and 18, 2026. The order was varied to include an additional 21 hours of unpaid work, and he must pay £85 costs.

Freddy Street admitted possessing 15g of cannabis, a class B drug, in Worthing on 20 July 2025.

Gemma Park admitted failing to comply with an off-road notification by keeping or using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road on 20 November 2025. She was given an excise penalty of £76 and ordered to pay £13.75 back duty and £50 costs.

On March 28, 2026, George Cain admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Stoney Lane, Shoreham. He received a nine-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs.

George Depass admitted three charges of harassment and breaching a restraining order made by Lewes Crown Court on May 15, 2024, by sending 17 texts, making a phone call and making indirect contact via a voicemail message on August 22, 2026.

Gerry Hepher was driving in Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis, on 8 November 2025 with 141 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. He admitted drink-driving and received an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, 150 hours of unpaid work, and a 32-month driving disqualification.
