Contractor Daniel Crossley was paid £3,614 last summer to buy materials for a house renovation but instead spent the money on gambling between August 16 and September 16, 2025. The victim, known to the defendant, had contacted him for renovation work on his home. Crossley misused the trust placed in him due to his gambling addiction.

Kieron Crockford, 35, of Riverside Close, Liss, attempted to steal a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses worth £236 from the Sunglasses Hut in the Friary Centre, Guildford, on October 28. He then damaged the pair before being apprehended and arrested.
Admitted to charges of attempted theft and criminal damage. Ordered to pay £236 compensation and £85 costs. Sentence imposed due to flagrant disregard for people and property.

On September 21, Sean Knight, a 58-year-old from Sheerwater, made five abusive 999 calls starting at 5.30pm regarding a parked vehicle in front of his home on Devonshire Avenue, Woking. The calls escalated in abuse over four hours. When police attended to arrest him, he became aggressive, raised his fists to officers while retrieving belongings and medication, and assaulted a PC. The incident stemmed from frustration with parking and historical grievances against the police, whom he blamed for some of his injuries.
Pleaded guilty to making nuisance calls and assaulting a PC. Ordered to pay costs and charges totalling £319. Given a chance to 'get his life back together'. Described as a highly vulnerable individual with mobility issues and chronic pain.

Denied the charge, claiming he was retrieving his phone from a footwell. Initially told officer he was trying to get his Air Pods to work. Previous similar offence in 2022 resulting in 6 penalty points. Allowed to keep licence due to financial hardship to loved ones.

Mohamad Jabbar, 38, of no fixed address, was stopped by police on the northbound A3 at Wisley Services around 8pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The vehicle was untaxed for 18 months and lacked a valid vehicle excise licence. A roadside breath test showed 93 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, over two and a half times the legal limit. A saliva test indicated cannabis presence. He was disqualified from driving and uninsured. He failed to provide an evidential breath sample at Guildford Custody.
Remanded in custody after arrest. Sentenced after appearing in court.

Vlad-Andrei Chitu, 30, of Woking, was seen revving his motorcycle excessively on Old Woking Road in West Byfleet on Friday, May 24, 2025. He was stopped by police and issued a Section 59 warning. A roadside drug wipe indicated positive for cannabis, and further tests confirmed he was over the specified limit.
Pleaded guilty to drug-driving. PC Lawrence from Woking Safer Neighbourhood Team commented on the dangers of anti-social vehicle use.

These included racist, anti-Semitic, and extremist views targeting Black, transgender, and Jewish people, as well as government agencies and charities. An online referral was made to Counter Terrorism Policing South East, leading to his arrest at his home on January 23, 2024.
Pleaded guilty to four offences under Section 127(1)(a) of the Communications Act 2003. Detective Chief Superintendent Claire Finlay commented that the posts were grossly offensive and caused harm by spreading hatred online.

Russell Bennett caused unnecessary suffering to six horses he kept at his farm in Ripley near Woking between February and April 2024. The horses suffered from lice, parasites, weight loss, respiratory conditions, and poor body condition due to inadequate nutrition and lack of treatment for ailments. A heavily pregnant bay mare produced insufficient milk for her foal, who had concerning lung sounds and a cough. A dun mare was in very poor condition with visible hips, ribs, and spine, and later deteriorated from colic and was put to sleep. A bay filly and chestnut colt had nasal discharge and lice. The RSPCA, with Surrey Police, removed all six horses after certifying them as suffering or likely to suffer. The pregnant mare gave birth in RSPCA care, and the five surviving horses plus the foal are now doing well.
Pleaded guilty to a single count of causing unnecessary suffering to six horses. District judge accused him of showing little remorse. Of previous good character, carer for wife and adult daughter, receives benefits.
