Sentence
3 months imprisonment
Michael Lambert, a former engineering worker of Ashenground Road, Haywards Heath, was seen getting out of his Fiat Panda at a petrol station on the A23 at Pyecombe on 12 January 2025. When police officers stopped him as he jogged back to the car, he claimed it wasn't his car and he hadn't driven it there. He blew a positive breath test showing he was nearly twice the legal limit. Despite only having a provisional licence, he had previous drink driving convictions. He admitted driving over the alcohol limit, driving while disqualified, driving without valid insurance, and obstructing officers. The court heard he also initially refused to provide his name. He was sentenced for his flagrant disregard of previous court orders and driving disqualifications.

He initially refused to provide his name to police. Nearly twice the legal limit. Had a previous driving disqualification from April last year.
