The 49-year-old driver from Dorking, Surrey, was arrested and tested positive for cocaine above the legal limit via blood test. He was already disqualified from driving and admitted cloning the number plates to avoid detection.
Pleaded guilty to all charges including drug driving, driving whilst disqualified, and fraud relating to cloned number plates.

On April 15, 2024, at around 9am on High Street, Epsom, Louise Redknapp was using a handheld mobile phone while driving her black Mini in heavy traffic due to roadworks. She was inputting her work address into the Waze Sat-Nav app while stationary at a red light. Police observed her typing with both thumbs, looking down into her lap, and she continued using the phone as the vehicle moved forward despite stationary traffic. She was pulled over by officers and admitted the offence.
Pleaded guilty. Already had six penalty points on licence. Ordered to pay £962 fine, £85 costs, and £385 victim surcharge. Prosecuted through Single Justice Procedure in closed-door hearing.

On 13 December 2023, after a chaotic car meet near Hickstead Service Station in West Sussex involving around 100 modified vehicles, 22-year-old Ryan Sheriff drove a white Volkswagen Golf southbound towards Pyecombe on the A23, reaching speeds of 117mph. He was pursued by Sussex Police’s Roads Policing Unit. The chase ended on Jane Murray Way in Burgess Hill, where he narrowly avoided a milk float at a roundabout. A roadside drug test confirmed he was over the legal limit for cannabis, with blood tests showing 2.3 micrograms per litre.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, drug-driving and cannabis possession. Also received a two-year driving ban, £85 court costs, £154 victim surcharge, and must pass an extended driving test.

Gerard O'Brien, 24, a landscape gardener of no fixed address, exposed himself and sexually assaulted two women in Hove. He was on the sex offenders register but failed to notify police of his address and his plans to go abroad. He travelled to Australia and was arrested at Heathrow Airport upon his arrival from Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur on 11 March. He was taken to court the next day and admitted the offences.
Admitted the latest two offences. Previously sentenced in September 2013 at Crawley Magistrates’ Court for two offences of sexual assault and one of exposure, receiving a community order and required to register as a sex offender for five years. Failed to notify police of his address and plans to go abroad.
