Pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order made by Cardiff Crown Court in May 2022 and failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register.

On 9 July 2022 at the Castle Vaults pub in Newtown, Robert Smith assaulted door supervisor the victim during a disturbance, causing injury including swelling that prevented the victim from working for two weeks. Smith was convicted after trial on 4 October 2023, with magistrates ruling the force used amounted to excessive self-defence. He was sentenced on 14 November 2023.
