Jamie Williams launched an unprovoked attack on his brother on 18 April 2026, punching him several times in the face before striking him on the head with the handle of an imitation handgun. Despite the victim falling unconscious, Williams continued the assault, repeatedly punching and stamping on his brother's head, causing serious injuries. Williams then used the weapon, which he had modified to fire bullets, to threaten other people present who were attempting to help the victim.
Pleaded guilty. The court also made a forfeiture order for destruction of the firearm, ammunition and cannabis recovered during the investigation.

Kyle Robinson, of Aston Road, Shotton, was involved in a masked gang burglary on Old Chester Road, Ewloe, on September 1, 2025. The group, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, smashed their way into a property while the occupant fled upstairs and called police. Robinson carried a hockey stick and his blood was later recovered from a TV unit. While on bail for that offence, on February 8, 2026, he violently attacked his partner at the St David's Park Hotel in Ewloe. After an argument, he dragged her, punched her repeatedly, fracturing her left eye socket and nose, knocking her unconscious, and causing a missing tooth and widespread bruising. She required surgery to insert a metal plate and suffered ongoing nerve damage, double vision, and PTSD.
Pleaded guilty to burglary and inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. Judge Eugene Egan described the attack as 'utterly disgraceful' and 'ferocious'. Also made subject to a 10-year Domestic Abuse Prevention Order.

On June 8 2025, around 7.45pm, a woman walking her dog on the coastal path in Conwy saw Barry Francis Lee sitting on a bench. He walked towards her, stood next to her making her uncomfortable, and she noticed he had his penis out and was holding it while smiling at her. She called him pathetic and he apologised. He was later identified on CCTV. Then at 9.30pm on December 6 2025, in the car park of Lidl superstore, Llandudno Junction, a woman in a car with another person saw Lee walk past her vehicle multiple times with his penis out, performing a sex act. She felt disgusted and sick. He was identified and arrested.
Pleaded guilty to two charges of exposure. The court heard he had four previous convictions for 17 offences including a 2019 conviction for sexual communication with a child and other sexual offences, and a December 2023 sentence of 24 months for malicious communication and exposure. Judge Eugene Egan noted that he had already served nearly six months on remand, so the sentence focused on rehabilitation; the judge said he would have faced immediate custody if not for the time on remand.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of rape of a child, five counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of sexual assault of a child, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, causing a child to watch sexual activity, making indecent images of children (two Category A, two Category B, four Category C), and taking five indecent photographs of a child at Category C. He will remain on licence for life if released.

Pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause or incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity. Tristan Thomas Roberts, 18, of Coniston Drive, Prestatyn, murdered his mother Angela Shellis, 45, on October 24, 2025. He planned the attack for at least three weeks, purchasing hammers, knives, and protective clothing online, and researching murders. The attack began at their shared home around 11pm on October 23, 2025, where he strangled her while she was conscious and pleading for help, recording the assault. He then deceived her into wearing a balaclava and led her through a railway line to an isolated area at Prestatyn's Morfa nature reserve, where he bludgeoned her to death with a lump hammer, inflicting multiple blows to the head causing severe blunt force injuries. He dragged her body about 100 metres into undergrowth, returned home, and boasted about the murder on Discord using graphic language. Her body was discovered later that morning by a member of the public.
Pleaded guilty to murder. Judge noted extensive pre-planning, prolonged attack, domestic violence, and sheer cruelty. Defendant diagnosed with autism and ADHD, showed signs of emerging personality disorder, but no abnormality of functioning at the time of the crime. Judge described him as a very dangerous individual with little remorse who revelled in control.

Robert Alan Evison was part of an organised crime group responsible for supplying Class A drugs, including cocaine, across Wrexham and Flintshire between April 2022 and September 2023. The group was dismantled following Operation Lardy, a six-month covert inquiry led by North Wales Police with support from the National Crime Agency and the Regional Organised Crime Unit. Raids in September 2023 across over 20 properties recovered cocaine worth over £150,000, cannabis worth £20,000, cash, weapons, and mobile phones. An estimated £550,000 was laundered through suspects’ bank accounts.

William Davies committed horrific sexual offences against a young girl, including rape, assault by penetration of a child, and sexual assault. He stood trial at Mold Crown Court in January 2026 where a jury found him guilty of rape. The victim showed incredible courage in reporting the offences to police.

Prince Asareb Boakye, 19, from Telford, travelled to North Wales as part of a County Lines network that targeted and exploited a vulnerable man in the Conwy area. Between 2023 and 2025, he played an active role in supplying heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis in the Llandudno area. He was also involved in an incident on 16th January where he was found guilty of threatening with a knife and false imprisonment.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, along with a separate charge of cannabis possession. Found guilty after trial of threatening with a knife and false imprisonment. Acquitted of a separate sexual offence. Made the subject of a 10-year restraining order.

Tylor McEvoy, 21, of John Street, Rhyl, was involved in a drug supply operation between June and December 2025 that flooded the Denbighshire area with cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis. The operation involved a drug line sending over 25,000 advertisement messages to customers for rapid drop-offs. McEvoy resupplied Jake Buckley-Mellor with Class A and B substances. He was arrested in December 2025 with Class A and B drugs, weapons, cash, and a drug supply phone seized from his address. Additional charges from 2024 involved wounding and malicious communications in Rhyl.
Entered guilty pleas to multiple drug offences involving possession and supply of Class A and Class B substances, plus separate charges of wounding and malicious communications offences. Oversaw the day-to-day running of the network.

Jake Buckley-Mellor, 20, of Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn, participated in a drug supply network between Rhyl and Runcorn from June to December 2025, distributing cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis via a drug line that sent over 25,000 advertisement messages. He regularly purchased credit for the drug phones from local newsagents and acted as a street-level dealer. Arrested in December 2025, Class A and B drugs, weapons, and cash were seized from his address. Admitted to being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs in 2024.

Geraint Hopwood, 48, of Kinmel Bay, strangled a victim and threatened to share an intimate image of them. He also committed criminal damage. He was caught and appeared in court following these offenses.
Pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation and threatening to share an intimate photograph or film of a person. Concurrent sentence of 6 weeks for criminal damage. Subject to a 7-year restraining order prohibiting contact or approach to the complainant or posting material referring to them online.

Officers executed warrants at two separate addresses in the Rhyl area as part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs. During the searches, officers recovered almost half a kilogram of cocaine with an estimated street value of between £28,000 and £40,000. Gareth Hastie, 44, of Kinmel Bay, was found to have the drugs.

On November 9, 2025, Scott Stirling, wearing a balaclava, confronted two brothers in a car park in Newtown with a curved machete (black handle, up to 20-inch blade) due to a grudge, threatening to 'cut off' their heads while advancing on them. The brothers backed away, one called police, and Stirling was arrested soon after with another male. Separately, between September 30 and November 30, 2024, in an abusive relationship, he pushed his former partner causing blurred vision, and after she tried to end it, strangled her with wire from curling irons; he also strangled her on another occasion. Victims reported feeling scared, unsafe, and unable to trust men. Machete not recovered. No CCTV in the area.
Pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place, affray, and two counts of strangulation. Judge warned he could cause a 'catastrophe' if criminal behaviour doesn't stop. Has autism and ADHD, immature, from care system. Currently serving concurrent 18-month sentence for aggravated burglary from Swansea Crown Court. Subject to five-year restraining order.
Mark Canavan
Dangerous driving *

On the evening of Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Mark Canavan, who was disqualified from driving, was spotted by police in his VW Golf near Junction 31 of the A55 near Caerwys. He led officers on a 10-minute high-speed chase through country roads, reaching speeds over 100mph, overtaking vehicles, and crossing white lines, passing through Gwaenysgor. He abandoned the car in an alleyway, jumped a fence, and was later found at his flat in Maes Bryn Melyd, Rhyl, where he falsely claimed to have been at home having a cup of tea. The judge noted that miraculously no serious damage, injury, or death occurred. Canavan has 13 convictions for 28 offences, including prior dangerous driving and driving while disqualified in 2007 and 2008, taking a vehicle without consent, driving without insurance, and a 2025 disqualification for drug-influenced driving.
Pleaded guilty early. Difficult childhood mentioned. No remorse shown. Assessed as high risk to the public. Judge commented on arrogant attitude and lack of regard for others' safety. Has a child. Will serve around 40% in prison with the rest on licence. Also disqualified from driving for two years with 28-week extension and must pay a surcharge.
