On October 24, 2023, three Carpathian mountain dogs owned by Jennifer Hopkins attacked a Yodel delivery driver at her address in the Blaenwaun area. The driver was delivering a parcel when the dogs ran towards her, biting her on the hand, hip, and belt line, causing severe injuries that exposed bone and tendons, required two operations, and left her hand not fully healed by the time of sentencing. Hopkins provided a rag for the wound and took the victim to A&E, but there were inadequate signs and security measures in place at the time.
Pleaded guilty with no previous convictions. The dogs remained with her, and one has since died. Judge Huw Rees noted the victim's innocence and inadequate protection at the property.

Examination of his phone revealed 146 category A, 63 category B, and 75 category C indecent photographs of children, some shared, as well as a voyeuristic video of a young female taken by Bell from underneath her skirt without her knowledge.

The incident began with an argument over her phone being on silent, escalating to Page threatening her with a knife, throwing her to the floor, strangling her until she lost consciousness, and following her around the house with the knife. The abuse lasted hours, leaving the victim with marks on her neck, head, face, upper chest, and bruising on her arm and back. A second attack occurred on February 15, 2024, when Page returned to the home, became angry over messages on her phone, assaulted her again, threatened to kill her, and smashed her TV. The victim fled and reported the attacks to police on February 17, 2024. Page was arrested and charged with intentional strangulation, threats to kill, criminal damage, and assault by beating.

Later that day, he approached another 89-year-old woman claiming to be a masseuse sent by her GP, instructed her to the bedroom to remove her shirt for a 'body-to-body' massage, but left when she refused. On June 20, 2024, he posed as a window cleaner to an 85-year-old woman, requested £55, made an inappropriate request for physical contact, and left with the money. On June 21, 2024, he approached a 63-year-old housebound woman with mobility issues as a massage therapist, offering a £55 service. In a separate incident on February 16, 2024, he assaulted an emergency worker by pushing a female officer in the chest after a disagreement with his parents at his family home.
Pleaded guilty to trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence, sexual assault, fraud, and assault of an emergency worker. Indefinite restraining orders imposed protecting all victims. Placed on the sex offenders register and subject to a sexual harm prevention order. Judge Geraint Walters commented on the seriousness of the offences given the defendant's young age.

On February 23, 2021, outside the CEM Day's garage on Swansea Road in Garngoch, Stephen Fisher was driving his uninsured Jaguar XF at grossly excessive speeds, reaching 77mph in a 40mph zone and accelerating hard, when he collided with Gareth Evans' Honda Jazz as it pulled onto the road. The impact caused catastrophic injuries to 84-year-old former rugby referee and soldier Gareth Evans, who was airlifted to hospital and pronounced dead that afternoon. Fisher had been instructed by his employer to use another vehicle but disobeyed. Post-crash, he attempted to get his boss to lie about insurance coverage and falsely told police he was driving at 40mph. CCTV and vehicle data confirmed his excessive speed. He was charged in September 2023 after delays in obtaining data from the vehicle's manufacturer.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. 20% discount for guilty plea. Previous conviction for driving with excess alcohol in 2009. Expressed remorse. Character references noted honesty and strong work ethic. Impact on his son considered.

On February 1, 2024, Peter Gilmore was driving a Citroen Dispatch van on the A487 from Aberystwyth to Llanrhystud and the B4337 towards Talsarn when he exhibited dangerous driving behaviour, including driving closely behind large vehicles, nearly crashing head-on, weaving across the road, and narrowly avoiding collisions over 14.2 miles. He attempted to overtake a lorry but pulled into the path of an oncoming Hyundai, causing a head-on collision that left the victim with a fractured sternum, two fractured ribs, and whiplash injuries. Gilmore tested positive for cannabis, slurred his words, and had abnormal pupils at the scene. He had been stopped earlier that day for drug-driving and disqualified at another court.
Pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a sample for analysis. He had 44 previous convictions, including for dangerous driving in 2004 and several instances of driving whilst disqualified. Judge Geraint Walters noted the facts were 'truly disturbing' and that it was remarkable he drove after being stopped earlier. He accepted full responsibility and apologised at the scene.

Arrested in October 2021 at Pibwr Farm where 592g of cocaine (street value £47,760-£60,200), 1.4kg of cannabis (£15,615), £17,190 cash, and a semi-automatic pistol were seized.

Miah was interviewed on February 13, 2023, and his actions led to him being charged with perverting the course of justice.
Pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice. Judge commented that it was a stupid act undermining the administration of justice. He has no previous convictions but had been caught speeding before, and is a family man who owns a restaurant.

Police discovered a cannabis grow operation with 83 plants in the growing stage and 22 in the nursery stage at one property, connected via a hole in the wall to a neighbouring property with 66 cannabis plants. The setup included fans, timers, lights, and plastic sheeting. Krasniqi was in the UK illegally, with his asylum application previously rejected.

Judge Geraint Walters noted the prevalence of cannabis factories run by Romanians or Albanians and mentioned a potential deportation decision by the Home Office upon release.

Saul Rowan Henvey, 47, from the Tregaron area in Ceredigion, raped a woman he had just met in the woods outside Lampeter on May 6, 2021, after leading her there and telling her he loved her. He was arrested on May 7, 2021. In May 2019, he approached a lone woman in her front garden in Lampeter, manipulated her into allowing him into her home, and raped her that day, continuing to manipulate her for months until she reported it in January 2020. Between March and April 2021 in the Llanddewi Brefi area, he approached another lone female at home, convinced her to let him stay by claiming homelessness, and raped her on two separate occasions while she slept in her bed. The pattern of offending linked the cases, leading to his conviction.
Found guilty of four counts of rape following trial. Placed on the sex offenders register for life and given an indefinite restraining order for each victim. To serve two thirds before applying for parole.
