The defence said he was genuinely remorseful and had experienced poor mental health. David Bullock, 59, sexually assaulted a girl under 16 at the National Ice Rink in Cardiff during ice skating dance lessons in the 1980s or early 1990s. He was then in his 20s and claimed to be training for the Olympics. The abuse began with patting and rubbing the girl's leg, touching her stomach and groping her bottom, then escalated to placing his hand inside her skirt and underwear, touching her vagina, and cupping her breasts. The victim disclosed the abuse to her mother at the time but no police report was made. She came forward in 2025. Bullock answered no comment in interview but later pleaded guilty to all seven counts.
Pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent assault. Previous conviction for possession of indecent images and indecent assault of a child under 14. Also made subject to an indefinite restraining order and sex offender notification requirements for 10 years.
Kieran Desmond

Kieran Desmond, 29, was released from prison on 16 March 2026. On 10 April, police attempted to stop him riding an electric motorcycle on Heol Trelai in Cardiff. He abandoned the bike and fled on foot, throwing a rucksack into a garden. The rucksack contained 314 grams of cannabis in deal-size bags, £35 cash, and an iPhone with messages relating to drug sales and a customer address list. A search of his home found burner phones and another tick list. He made no comment in interview. The judge described it as 'staggering' that he reoffended within weeks of release.
Pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, being concerned in its supply, driving whilst disqualified, and having no insurance. He had been released from prison on 16 March 2026 and reoffended on 10 April. Ordered to pay £187 victim surcharge; drugs forfeited.
Thomas Price

Thomas Price, 62, was banned for life from keeping animals following a 2021 conviction for 32 counts of animal cruelty relating to sheep and horses, for which he received six months imprisonment, and a further six months in 2022 for breaching the order. On 3 December 2025, PCSOs patrolling Pengam Green in Cardiff found him in possession of horse feed and equine items including a rope and a pallet in Seawall Road. On 18 December 2025, he was again seen in Seawall Road tending to horses. These actions breached the criminal behaviour order. Price had previously kept animals in atrocious conditions, with welfare officers discovering maggot-ridden sheep, carcasses, unshorn animals, and 240 horses standing in deep mud without adequate food or water, surrounded by hazards such as sharp metal and barbed wire.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order. Ordered to pay £187 victim surcharge. Recorder Angharad Price sentenced.

Corey Eaves, 28, of Gilfach Goch, took the keys to a Nissan Juke belonging to the partner of a friend he was staying with in the early hours of April 26, making a vulgar gesture as he left. He drove the stolen car and was spotted by police shortly before 1am. Officers located the vehicle again around 2.30am and attempted to box it in, but Eaves reversed into a police car causing £7,000 damage before fleeing down an alleyway. He led police on a chase along narrow lanes, reaching 80mph in a 20mph zone on Gilfach Road, Tonyrefail. A stinger was deployed but he continued driving until the car stopped, after which he attempted to flee on foot but was caught. A breath test showed 58 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, over the 35 microgram limit. He was also a disqualified driver. Two days earlier, he stole a 10-pack of Carlsberg cans worth £11.29 from a petrol station he had been banned from.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance, drink driving, driving whilst disqualified, and theft from a shop. Had a number of previous convictions. In mitigation, the court heard he had completed courses in prison and provided negative drug tests, and has two young children. Judge Eugene Egan described the driving as 'utterly disgraceful'. Also disqualified from driving for four years upon release.

After eating and drinking, Hagland became aggressive upon learning Ayeb was Muslim, slapped him, kicked him in the chest, threatened to murder him and demanded money. Williams joined in, punching Ayeb, throwing pasta sauce over him and forcing him into a bathtub of water. Ayeb was pushed down stairs, strangled and threatened with a knife. He suffered multiple broken ribs. Hagland fled in his underpants and was later found hiding nearby.

She falsely claimed to police that Ayeb had sexually assaulted her. Ayeb suffered multiple broken ribs.

The drugs were worth between £1,420 and £2,480. Scales, grip seal bags, and crack cocaine conversion equipment were also recovered. Phone messages linked him to supply.

Shaun Moran, a 42-year-old man from Trowbridge in Cardiff, was arrested in March 2026 after South Wales Police officers visited his home following intelligence that someone at the address had been sharing child sexual abuse material online. Digital devices were seized and examined, uncovering evidence of Moran distributing over 1,300 indecent images and videos of children, with international law enforcement cooperation. He pleaded guilty at Cardiff Crown Court.

Leon Jones, a 24-year-old from Merthyr, was involved in supplying cocaine across the mid Glamorgan area. South Wales Police identified a phone number linked to a drugs line belonging to Jones. Analysis of his mobile phone revealed messages linking it to crack cocaine supply, and a search of a property in Dowlais recovered crack cocaine and drug dealing paraphernalia.

Kane Evans, 29, was arrested by police at Bristol airport on January 29, 2026, upon returning from a holiday in Cyprus while under investigation by the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime team. In November 2025, officers executing a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a flat in Mill Road found Evans after a rucksack containing crack cocaine was thrown from a bedroom window. Two phones were seized, one linked to a drugs line. He was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and pleaded guilty.

Samuel Benjamin Harvard

In March 2026, police identified a telephone number of interest from an historic phone download. On 19 March an officer rang the number and Samuel Harvard answered expecting a customer. Police then went to his home in Bryn Hir, Cwmbach, Aberdare, arrested him and seized his phone. Messages on the device showed he was receiving instructions to deliver drugs, and he was also dealing cocaine on his own account, obtaining supplies on tick to sell to customers. On the day of arrest he was due to attend a job interview with Aldi. He had previously been given a 16-week suspended sentence for stalking just two weeks earlier.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. A one-third discount was applied for his guilty plea. The judge also activated 12 weeks of a previously imposed suspended sentence for stalking to run consecutively. The recorder noted that he had been acting as a runner for others but also conducting his own dealing, and that he showed disregard for court authority by dealing on the day he was sentenced for stalking.
Kieren Pash

Kieren Pash subjected Chelsea Manley to over a decade of domestic abuse starting from when they were teenagers in Cardiff. Abuse escalated after moving in together in 2015, including pushes, shoves, black eyes in 2021, and severe incidents: strangulations on two occasions between December 1 and 31, 2022; horrific attack on August 22, 2025 involving attempted drowning in bath, biting nose, wrist injury requiring hospital; attacks on September 19, 2025 (launched at victim, smashed TV), September 25, 2025 (threatened to knock door down); final incident on October 3, 2025 involving double-handed strangulation, headlock, knee on neck, pillow over face, smashing phone on face. Arrested October 5, 2025.
Pleaded not guilty but found guilty by jury after trial of four counts of actual bodily harm and two counts of intentional strangulation. Received a 10-year restraining order preventing contact with victim.
Dexter Walkey

Dexter Walkey, of Porth, connected with the victim through a dating app before going on a night out together in Cardiff. They later returned to the victim’s home address, where she fell asleep. She woke to find Walkey having sex with her – something she had not consented to. The following day, Walkey sent the victim a text message apologising for his behaviour, but denied the charge of rape in court.

Nathan Bougossa grabbed a woman from behind in Cardiff city centre on November 14, 2025, near the Marriott hotel in Hayes Bridge Road, attempting to steal her backpack containing brownies. He squeezed her for five seconds before she escaped. He then punched a man in the face in an unprovoked attack on Canal Street. CCTV footage led to his arrest on November 16. In custody, he admitted trying to kill a woman during a robbery.
Pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and assault by beating. Has 38 previous convictions for offences including offences against the person, theft, and failing to comply with community orders. Was suffering a mental health episode at the time.
Alexander Creqama

Alexander Creqama, 23, from Albania, entered the UK illegally on the back of a lorry from Spain. He was found tending to a cannabis farm at a property in Ystradgynlais, Wales, on March 23, 2026, after police executed a drugs warrant. The house had five rooms dedicated to growing 249 cannabis plants (mature and seedlings) using hydroponic equipment, with a potential yield of 6.5kg to 19.5kg, wholesale value up to £98,000, or up to £214,000 if broken down. There had been one previous harvest, indicated by cuttings, and electricity was bypassed. He was the sole occupant, had been there for a year, claimed he was forced to look after the plants, and received £5,000 per harvest (25% of sales value).
Pleaded guilty to cannabis production. No previous convictions. Recorder Greg Bull KC noted the defendant must have been aware of the scale of the operation. In mitigation, described as young and immature, made poor decisions, entered UK illegally from Albania, unable to work legitimately, learning English in prison.

On February 22, 2026, Jaydan Iles, 18, of Pilton Vale, Newport, was detained by plain clothes officers in Newport after a strong smell of cannabis was noticed from vehicles including a silver Mercedes and a red Nissan Qashqai. As a passenger, he was searched and found in possession of three mobile phones, one burner phone with messages consistent with the street supply of cocaine and 'text bombs' to customers, £460 in cash, and a Kinder egg plastic container in his underwear containing 17 wraps of cocaine weighing 9.2g in total valued between £740 and £1,120.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of criminal property. No previous convictions. Ordered to carry out a 10 day rehabilitation activity requirement and 200 hours unpaid work. Aged 18 at the time.

Rhydian Mason, 36, of Pontypool, breached his sexual harm prevention order imposed in 2018 by deleting his browsing history, using private and incognito browsers, and downloading and removing chatbot roleplay apps, including Apex Girls. The breaches were discovered during a routine annual sex offender risk assessment by Gwent Police officers at his home last autumn. The offending took place between 8 and 22 October 2025. He has prior convictions for attempting to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity and attempted sexual communication with a child.
Handed 200 hours of unpaid work in the community and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement. Ordered to pay £150 towards prosecution costs and a £187 victim surcharge. Judge believed there was a realistic prospect of rehabilitation.

On a night in December 2024, Richard Evan Rhys Williams, a 54-year-old Grand National trainer, repeatedly struck 72-year-old Martin Dandridge with a hockey stick during a night-time assault in Llancarfan, Vale of Glamorgan, while Dandridge was walking his dog on Williams's land. The attack broke Dandridge's arm, causing ongoing pain in his forearm and lasting physical and mental impact, including feelings of helplessness.

Ali Khdir, 42, originally from Iran, and Dilshad Shamo organised a large-scale people smuggling network using the Fast Track Car Wash on Pontygwindy Road in Caerphilly as a cover. They arranged the movement of large numbers of migrants, predominantly from Iran, Iraq and Syria, across multiple European countries including Italy, Romania, Croatia, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Austria and France. Migrants were charged thousands of pounds, with an estimated turnover of £1.8 million over six months between October 2022 and April 2023. Methods included shipping from Turkey to Italy, using tourist visas via Belarus and Moldova to Romania, Germany or Austria, concealing people in lorries to Italy and Germany, and transporting via cars or taxis through Bosnia to Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. National Crime Agency raided the premises and recovered hidden mobile phones with evidence of the operation.
Initially denied charges but changed plea after two weeks of evidence. Ordered to serve a minimum of 40 per cent in custody. Judge described the operation as a well-organised and successful travel agency.

In January 2026, police searched the home of Christopher Williams in Mountain Ash and discovered several clear bags of cannabis along with weighing scales. High-value items including Nike shoes and Rolex watches were also recovered from the property. Williams sped off in his Volkswagen Golf upon the officers' arrival but returned later and was arrested. Additional expensive footwear was found in his vehicle. The search uncovered a haul of cannabis and luxury items indicative of criminal activity.

Corey Richards, 27, of Manor Gate, Greenmeadow, Cwmbran, was involved in supplying cocaine, a class A drug, in the town between January 9, 2024 and October 25, 2024, over a period of nearly ten months.
