Nicholas Blackwell, 35, of Madoc Close, Brackla, Bridgend, a removal man, committed two fly-tipping offences. The first incident occurred in October 2024 at Heol Y Felin, Croeserw, where he dumped a large amount of household waste and set it alight. The second incident was in November 2024 on waste ground off Chain Road, Glynneath, involving a mattress, rug, suitcase, cardboard packaging, baby walker, television, black bags, carrier bags, and white plastic piping. Evidence from the waste linked it to clients who hired him via a Facebook advert. He lacked a valid waste carrier licence, confirmed by Natural Resources Wales and the Environment Agency.
Pleaded guilty to two offences under the Environmental Protection Act in July 2024. Van seized and crushed by Bridgend Council as it was unregistered and unfit for the road.
