CCTV showed staff confronting him on multiple occasions, but he pushed past them without paying.
Pleaded guilty to nine counts of theft and seven counts of breaching his criminal behaviour order. Previously banned from entering Sheffield supermarkets under a CBO in 2023.

Zahir Ahmed, a landlord of Sheffield, appeared after pleading guilty to six charges of failing to comply with fire safety regulations at a property. A fire broke out at around 3.25am on 25 February 2022, trapping 11 people inside. Firefighters rescued them; the single staircase collapsed, causing a firefighter to fall through. Post-incident inspection found no fire alarm, no emergency lighting, poor fire doors and no staircase ventilation.
Pleaded guilty to six charges of failing to comply with articles under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Ordered to pay £10,000 prosecution costs at £1000 per month. Judge noted wilful neglect of safety and real risk of serious harm.

Cashin sent threatening texts, verbally abused the tenant, threatened to send someone to 'deal with him', and illegally evicted him by bagging up his possessions and presenting a fake eviction notice. He also admitted harassing a female tenant in Sheldon Road, Netheredge, in September 2015 over a broken washing machine.
Admitted to two counts of harassing a tenant/occupier. Has 54 prior property offence convictions. Recorder Martin Simpson commented: 'You, and landlords like you, think they’re above the law but they’re not, and should take advice before trying to use the law against vulnerable tenants, and respect that they are too protected by the law.'
