The crime was financially motivated due to class A drug use, unemployment, and lack of benefits.
Ordered to pay £5,500 in compensation at £100 a month and attend 15 days of rehabilitation activity. Pleaded guilty. Plans to gain employment taken into account. One previous offence in 2014.

Whitefield has lived in supported accommodation since June 2023 following his elderly mother's move to a care home. He admitted the offence was committed on a reckless basis and claimed he would not intentionally hurt her.
Pleaded guilty to common assault. Suffers from epilepsy and learning difficulties. Expressed regret for his actions. The presiding magistrate reminded him that he cannot behave like that.

Fraser Welsh, a 33-year-old RAF corporal formerly of Cranberry Close, Witney, Oxfordshire, was involved in a domestic incident on Clipstone Road in the early hours of August 15, 2024. He was staggering, drunk, and abusive. He sat in his car but did not drive it. Police observed him straightening the vehicle at the kerb and he failed to provide a specimen for analysis, blowing raspberries instead of completing the breathalyser test.
Pleaded guilty. No relevant previous convictions. Alcohol is an issue. Will face disciplinary measures in the RAF. Incident occurred during a troubled time in his marriage.

Jamie Corby, aged 43, of Potter Street, Worksop, and a male accomplice used a staff fob to enter a bike shed at Greencore Sandwiches on Manton Wood Enterprise Park in the early hours of April 20. CCTV showed the male tampering with bikes before a security guard grabbed him. Corby picked up a bike seat and hit the guard over the head several times while he was in a headlock. The victim suffered a cut lip and lump on his head. Corby admitted assault by beating and attempted theft.
Guilty plea. Huge gap in offending history. Keen to work with probation service.

On October 21, Malcolm Pleskauskas, aged 44, of Langford Road, Mansfield, demanded entry to the Industria bar on Leeming Street, Mansfield, but was refused because he was clearly too intoxicated. He became aggressive, hurled threats and spat at the doorman, with some spit landing on the doorman's cheek. He was restrained until police arrived. He initially denied spitting but later admitted the offence.
Admitted assault by beating after being shown CCTV. Has 16 previous convictions for 27 offences but no trouble since June 2011. Represented himself.

Wayne Finney, aged 58, of Ramsden Crescent, Carlton-in-Lindrick, was asked to leave a courtyard party at the andwhynot bar on Leeming Street in Mansfield on August 3 after arguing with a couple on the dance floor. He initially left but returned, became abusive to door supervisors, forced his way back through a metal fence and wrestled with a bouncer, pushing or punching him four times and causing bruising to his head and damaging his ear-piece. He admitted assault by beating.
Admitted assault by beating. Has three previous convictions but nothing for violence and has stayed out of trouble for more than 20 years. Due to retire at the end of the year. Misjudged alcohol intake at a 90s rave-style event.
