Later messaged her underage friend on Instagram asking for explicit pictures. Arrested January 2021 after police raid found 441 indecent images of children on his phone. Of Rosedale Close, Aston, Sheffield.

Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, aged 39 from Tudor Close in Sheffield, was imprisoned for 15 years at Sheffield Crown Court following his conviction for one count of rape. The offence formed part of the sexual exploitation of girls aged 13 to 16 by a group of men in Rotherham between 1998 and 2005. The case is linked to Operation Stovewood, the National Crime Agency's investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham. El-Hakam was involved in the collective targeting and intimidation of vulnerable victims, who were groomed using drugs and alcohol and subjected to sexual abuse including gang rapes at locations such as Clifton Park, Rawmarsh tip, and Ulley Country Park. The trial heard that girls were passed between offenders and threatened with violence or abandonment.
Convicted for one count of rape as part of a grooming and exploitation gang in Rotherham. Judge Sarah Wright stated: 'Each in your own way perpetrated, facilitated or encouraged the sexual abuse of these young girls.' The case is linked to Operation Stovewood.

On May 16 2021, Soloman Sanyas entered the victim's home in Wincobank Avenue, Sheffield, S5, through a window using garden furniture to climb up while she was out. The victim returned early, found him in a bedroom, leading to a verbal altercation. Sanyas dragged her down the stairs and raped her in the living room. He intimidated the victim multiple times and had associates threaten her to stop police intervention.

Thomas Hardiman and Xander Howarth, both 18, murdered 19-year-old Adam Abdul-Basit on Smelter Wood Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield on 8 May. Adam died on the doorstep despite emergency efforts.

Illegal operations maximised financial gain at environmental expense, with waste mismanagement causing fires at Worksop in 2013 and 2014.

Zahir Ahmed, a landlord of Sheffield, appeared after pleading guilty to six charges of failing to comply with fire safety regulations at a property. A fire broke out at around 3.25am on 25 February 2022, trapping 11 people inside. Firefighters rescued them; the single staircase collapsed, causing a firefighter to fall through. Post-incident inspection found no fire alarm, no emergency lighting, poor fire doors and no staircase ventilation.
