David Nicholas Wilson, a labourer from Kirstead, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, committed 96 sexual offences against 51 boys aged between four and 14 between May 2016 and April 2020. He blackmailed victims into sending more extreme material, including instances of them sexually abusing other children. Wilson was arrested three times by the National Crime Agency before sufficient evidence was gathered.

On April 8, 2018, in the early hours, Thomas Steven, driving a Land Rover Discovery in Sudbury town centre, was suspected of drinking. When police attempted to stop him at 3am in Waldingfield Road, he drove on the pavement to escape, then led a high-speed chase on the A134 towards Colchester, reaching 75mph in 30mph limits. He drove on the wrong side of the road around a blind bend, turned onto a lane and farm track, entered a ploughed field, reversed towards police, and got stuck in two ditches. Found drunk at the wheel, almost three times the drink-drive limit, with a distraught female passenger. Made racist remarks to officers during arrest and custody, including 'I don’t make bombs – why am I in cuffs?', and struggled violently against handcuffs.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, being over the drink-drive limit, failing to stop for police and racially aggravated harassment. Previous drink-drive conviction in 2016. Defence claimed drink may have been spiked and bizarre behaviour due to personal circumstances.

On the morning following a power surge, the manager admitted bathers into the swimming pool despite affected electrical systems. The technician and manager attempted to restart the circulation pumps without a set procedure for re-priming, resulting in a release of noxious gas into the pool hall. This affected 13 bathers, hospitalising five, with two suffering ongoing respiratory problems. The incident was the second similar occurrence at the Ipswich branch, following an inadequate response to the previous event nearly two years earlier. The prosecution was for an offence contrary to section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

Police discovered a 10-second indecent film and messages on Prewitt's phone in April 2020 at his Myrtle Road home, leading to seizures from both homes. Skype conversations from January 2020 showed their plans. Victims likely to develop complex PTSD.
Admitted multiple serious sex abuse of a child charges, three offences of taking indecent images of children and an offence of inciting or causing a child to engage in sexual activity. Defence claimed low IQ and remorseful. Judge Rupert Overbury described acts as beyond depraved, despicable, inhuman and sadistic.

On 31 August 2018 at 11.30am, Rebecca Beswick was driving a Mini Cooper northbound on the A134 between Alpheton and Lawshall when her vehicle crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a gold BMW travelling in the opposite direction. The collision killed 79-year-old passenger Regina Brook at the scene and driver 69-year-old Bruno Delmonte the following day. Beswick was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on 20 January 2021.

Regi Salillari, 28, from Albania, was stopped by officers from the West Area Sentinel team on 29 January while driving in Thorney Way, Stowmarket. He attempted to deceive officers by producing a counterfeit Italian driving licence. Officers searched him and found four bags of cocaine hidden in his underwear and more than £500 in cash. A search of an address in Ipswich uncovered more than £20,000 worth of uncut cocaine and over £1,000 in cash.

In April 2020 the victim, a woman aged in her late 40s, met Ramzan in Bury St Edmunds for a pre-arranged meeting. The pair went to a nearby small room, described as a security lodge on Rougham Road where Ramzan raped her. The victim left the site in a distressed and partially dressed state and during the incident she was robbed of all of her money amounting to £200 leaving just £10, with damage also caused to the victim’s mobile phone. Ramzan was arrested on 18 April 2020.
Found guilty on 8 December 2023 after not guilty plea. Concurrent sentences: attempted rape 7 years, sexual assault by penetration 6 years, robbery 4 years.

Owen Trevallion, of Ailmar Close, Lowestoft, Suffolk, posed as a woman while sending messages of a sexual nature to young girls requesting sexual or nude images. Suffolk Police discovered the messages and indecent images of children on his phones after he was arrested for breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) in January. Two young girls were the victims of his behaviour. He also had various applications on his phone in breach of his SHPO.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child, two counts of inciting two separate girls to engage in sexual activity, one count of threatening to share photographs or film of a person in an intimate state, and four counts of breaching a SHPO. Arrested in January for breaching SHPO.

Paul Falco, aged 39 and from Bridge End Road in Red Lodge, was convicted of wounding with intent following an incident on 17 April 2020 at Worlington Hall Hotel. Three unknown males entered the hotel with faces covered and brandishing a bat. The male victim, aged in his 50s, was badly assaulted and sustained a large laceration to his face, both eyes swollen purple and closed, a suspected fractured skull and broken leg. He was taken to Addenbrookes hospital but has since made a full recovery. Falco was arrested on 14 May 2020. The two other suspects were never identified.

Thomas Singleton

Thomas Singleton was arrested by the National Crime Agency in February 2021 after investigators found he had accessed and amassed over 1,050,448 indecent images of children (categories A-C), 45,216 prohibited images of children, 52 extreme pornographic images, and a 170-page 'paedophile manual' with instructions on abusing children from his home in Framlingham, Suffolk. Devices seized included laptops, digital storage, a toddler-sized doll, and collections of underwear and clothing for babies and young children. He created pseudo-images by superimposing himself into photos to appear as if engaging in sexual activity with children.
Pleaded guilty to all eight charges. Also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offender Register indefinitely.

Sutton was arrested on 1 July 2019, charged following investigations, and admitted the offence during court proceedings.

On 14 June 2023 at around 10:25pm, Stephen Byrne approached a woman in her 50s from behind on St Olaves Road in Bury St Edmunds while she was walking her dog. He stabbed her in the lower back with a knife before fleeing. The victim suffered minor injuries. Byrne returned home and called 999 to admit the offence. He was arrested shortly afterwards and admitted to being intoxicated after drinking alcohol throughout the day. The attack was unprovoked and random.
Pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. DI Stuart Dolan-Allen commented on the unprovoked nature of the attack.
Stephen Crush

On 9 September 2019, Stephen Crush attacked his wife Sarah with a lump hammer at their home in Lowestoft, Suffolk, striking her at least three times on the head after an argument. Their nine-year-old son was upstairs at the time. Sarah Crush was airlifted to hospital with severe head injuries and was left permanently disabled, unable to walk, talk, or care for herself. Crush called 999 stating he had killed her. He admitted attempted murder at Ipswich Crown Court and was jailed for 13 and a half years in 2020. Sarah Crush died on 21 December 2025 aged 45.
Pleaded guilty to attempted murder. The attack left his wife permanently disabled; she later died, and he has since been charged with her murder.

She pleaded guilty at a hearing in October last year and appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on 24 January where she received the sentence.

David King, aged 56, of Radnor Close, Bury St Edmunds, along with his son Edward King, armed themselves with weapons including a Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife after their CCTV alerted them to a thief on the Moreton Hall estate. They pursued and fatally stabbed Neil Charles, aged 47, in Winsford Road in the early hours of 20 June 2021 in a vigilante attack. Charles died in hospital on 22 June from a single 12cm stab wound to the chest. The pair had not contacted police and had a history of fascination with weapons and threats to deal with offenders themselves.
Found guilty of murder by unanimous verdict. No remorse shown. Prior text messages showed intent to harm perceived criminals.

David Wilson, from Kirstead, King's Lynn, Norfolk, set up fake social media profiles using unregistered phones to prey on 52 boys aged between four and 14. Between May 2016 and April 2020, he sent images of girls to trick boys into sending indecent videos and images of themselves, then blackmailed them to produce more extreme material, including abusing younger siblings or friends, threatening to distribute it online unless they complied. The National Crime Agency identified evidence of him approaching over 5,000 children globally.
Pleaded guilty to 96 child sex abuse offences. Judge Rupert Overbury described the crimes as a vile catalogue of abuse, among the worst he had seen in his 40-year career, and labelled Wilson a serial paedophile with a sadistic sexual interest in young boys.

Material included 58 images and 55 videos in category A, 60 images and 16 videos in category B, 15 images in category C, plus a prohibited image. He distributed indecent images to like-minded people and advised on hiding material. iPhone seized from his home by police in May 2021.

Sadowski, 37, from Yeoman Close in Ipswich, targeted a decoy account he thought belonged to a 14-year-old girl. On March 2, 2025, he sent a Facebook message to the decoy account. Within the first four messages, the account stated she was 14, to which Sadowski replied that he was 37 and much older. He gave the girl his phone number and moved the conversation to WhatsApp, where the exchange quickly became sexual and he sent her an explicit image. Sadowski also offered to pay for a train ticket so she could meet him the next day, telling her not to tell anyone. The conversation was reported to police, and he was arrested on April 10. He was later charged on December 29, 2025.
Pleaded guilty to attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity, attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming, and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Daniel Anderson, 43, of Mayfield Road, Bury St Edmunds, was detained by officers while inside a vehicle in Fornham Road, Bury St Edmunds on 31 May 2023. A search of the vehicle located small amounts of suspected drugs, a large quantity of suspected heroin and crack cocaine, and over £450 in cash. Further searches at his home address found a golf-ball sized wrap of suspected Class A drugs and crack cocaine along with over 150g of cannabis. He was charged and sentenced after pleading guilty.
Pleaded guilty at a previous hearing. Concurrent sentences of 30 months for heroin and 2 months for cannabis.

Christopher Southart was arrested during a police operation on 11 September 2019 at Flowton near Somersham, following the recovery of around two kilogrammes of cocaine. A large amount of cash and a Range Rover were also seized. He pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to supply cocaine.

On 25 July 2020 at approximately 8.25pm, Claire Waterman drove a Volkswagen Golf at 50mph in a 30mph zone in Mildenhall. After police attempted to stop the vehicle due to no current MOT or insurance, she led officers on an 11-minute pursuit covering almost eight miles, driving on the wrong side of the road, the wrong way around a roundabout, weaving between vehicles and causing her car to leave the road. The pursuit ended when the car went up a verge into a hedge in Lakenheath. Officers found cocaine in her purse. Waterman was arrested and later sentenced.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving with excess drugs (cocaine), possession of a Class A drug (cocaine), driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Also disqualified from driving for four years with a five-month extension and required to take an extended re-test. Judge comments noted reckless actions and disregard for safety.

Claudiu Stupinean committed a series of theft offences in the Bury St Edmunds area between 30 July 2020 and 15 September 2020. He was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, one count of burglary after stealing a painting, two counts of theft of car keys, one count of theft of military memorabilia, one count of theft of Amazon parcels, one count of theft of a wedding ring and one count of theft of a letter opener. A search of his vehicle recovered jewellery, World War Two medals and other stolen items. Five of the victims were elderly, including one aged 100. He exploited his position working for a care company to target vulnerable people.

Corey Anderson first met the victim online in 2018 and continued to communicate with her online until the summer of 2020 when he arranged to meet her when she was aged 15. He met with the victim in Suffolk before taking her back to his home address in the West Midlands. Police located Anderson and the victim after the teenager had been reported missing by her family. Anderson was stopped while in a vehicle with the victim. He was arrested and charged with sexual activity with a child, meeting a child following sexual grooming, sexual communication with a child and child abduction.
Found guilty by a jury. Also handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.

Artan Kastrati, 33, of Hanworth Road, Hounslow, was involved in a drug supply network operating between London and Ipswich, supplying cocaine between December 2020 and July 2022. The operation led to the seizure of £50,000 in cash, Rolex watches worth £25,000, cocaine valued at £10,000, and other assets. Warrants were executed in July 2022 in Ipswich and London areas.
Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine.
