Incidents included multiple assaults on one resident culminating in a punch causing a small cut to the jawline on August 12, punching a cleaner in the arm, throwing a banana at the cleaner hitting the back of the head, slapping another resident on the back, attempting to slap a chef in the face, and picking up a chair before being restrained. The offences occurred while he was on police bail for an alleged affray at another asylum hotel. He had previously been placed in a hotel in Gloucestershire before moving to The Bell Hotel.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault and four counts of assault by beating. Ordered to pay £300 compensation to one victim, £200 each to two staff victims, £85 prosecution costs, and £154 victim surcharge. Has signed paperwork to return to Syria.
