On February 21, 2026, Kyle Eke drove a stolen Volvo at dangerous speeds and the wrong way down dual carriageways on the A127 near the junction with the A128 in West Horndon, Essex. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a London address and failed to stop for officers in other force areas before entering Essex. Officers used a stinger device to slow the car and boxed it in with three police cars to stop it safely. Eke was immediately arrested.
Recalled to prison. Pleaded not specified.

He escorted individuals to cash points to ensure they withdrew money for him, breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order issued on April 5 that banned him from swearing, intimidating, abusing people, begging, and entering certain areas. He was arrested on May 6 in Southend High Street and charged with the offences.
Admitted to four public order offences, assault, and four breaches of his Criminal Behaviour Order. The Criminal Behaviour Order was extended until 2030. PC Lois Greenlees commented on the public concern and the role of such orders in deterring offenders.

Lee Gannon, a 52-year-old from Roebourne Way in Newham, conducted a series of burglaries across Essex from June 12, 2024, to August 11, 2024, stealing goods worth over £10,000 from shops including Boots, Card Factory, and a Co-Op store. He gained access to storerooms by pressing emergency fire release buttons, stole cash, stamps, cigarettes, and other items, and on August 11, 2024, attacked a shopkeeper at Value Food Express in Thundersley with a stepladder, punching and dragging him. His actions were driven by desperation due to homelessness and mental health issues, including paranoid schizophrenia.
Pleaded guilty to six counts of burglary and one count of assault. Has 157 previous convictions, including 88 for theft or dishonesty. Judge Siew Loke noted his extensive criminal record and that the offences occurred shortly after his release from a prior sentence.

The victim promptly reported the incident to her mother, and forensic tests confirmed his saliva inside her clothes. He denied the charges at trial, presenting himself as a religious convert and clutching a bible in the dock, but was convicted. The attack occurred prior to his arrest, and he shouted 'I’m innocent' after sentencing.
Denied the offences but was found guilty by a jury. Judge Samantha Cohen imposed a permanent Sexual Harm Prevention Order and stated that he must never be alone with any female child, including his own, due to the risk of reoffending.
