Esther was fatally mauled to death in a sustained and repeated attack lasting at least 12 minutes, suffering dozens of bites. Warren was also found guilty of possessing a bladed article without good reason at Clacton railway station in February 2024, claiming it was a prop for his music video.

She initially requested £40 in petrol money, then demanded £1,000 via telephone and WhatsApp, threatening to 'cause a scene' and sending photos of his adult children from Facebook. The victim paid £1,000. Weeks later, she demanded a further £700 without threats, which was not paid. In May 2024, she sent a photo of his street sign, claiming she was there and had spoken to neighbours, then knocked on his door and left a handwritten note demanding another £1,000. The victim paid out of fear. She took a total of £2,300 from this victim. She then targeted a second victim with similar threats to expose his use of the site to family and employers, providing evidence of their locations and workplaces. After the second victim reported to police, Konopska claimed it was 'role play'. She was caught after leaving bank details with her real name.
Admitted to blackmail and attempted blackmail. Recorder Suki Dhadda told her she should be 'ashamed' of her actions, which made her victims scared for their lives.

Total loss to the four stores was £2,926.73. He breached a criminal behaviour order banning him from Co-op stores 31 times. Arrested on February 6, 2026, hiding inside the base of a divan bed.

Police discovered the images following intelligence received in May-June 2024 indicating online access to child images. Detectives established deliberate searching and a large number of different victims. The offending was linked to Wakefield's use of steroids and testosterone, which increased his sex drive. He ceased using the substances after arrest and reported normalized sexual desires.

As the victim tried to walk away, Stanley and an unknown man followed, punched him repeatedly in the head, and forcibly ripped two metal chain necklaces from his neck before running off. The attack was witnessed by two people who saw a verbal exchange and the initial punch by the unknown male.
Pleaded guilty to robbery. Judge showed pity for his difficult upbringing involving violence, but noted he acted willingly and enthusiastically. He has become religious and is remorseful. On November 28, 2025, Mitchell Cox, 27, of Coldnailhurst Avenue, Braintree, approached the victim at The Angel pub in Braintree after accidental eye contact. The victim was at the bar preparing to leave with his friend and fiancée after a pleasant evening. Cox violently smashed a pint glass into the victim's head, causing a large laceration of six to seven centimetres requiring 14 stitches at hospital. The attack was wholly unprovoked, random, and left the victim with a lifelong scar.
Pleaded not guilty but convicted. Judge Mary Loram KC noted his appalling record of violence, including 11 convictions for 25 offences with six for assaulting police officers. He was on a suspended sentence at the time and received an additional 3 months consecutive for breaching it. Expressed remorse. Darren Simmons, 58, led a large-scale drug supply operation using a second-hand furniture shop in Clacton as a front. Across 2023 and 2024, officers uncovered drugs valued between £98,000 and £117,000, including 132 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of amphetamines, and more than 12 kilograms of cannabis. Counterfeit tobacco products, including thousands of cigarettes, and prescription drugs diazepam and sildenafil were also seized. In November 2025, a raid on his home in Jaywick found over a kilogram of cocaine and a kilogram of cannabis worth £31,155. The investigation revealed he supplied at least 1.75 kilograms of cocaine and 10 kilograms of cannabis. He used the shop to stash drugs and illegal tobacco, with the furniture business kept afloat by drug money. He continued dealing after arrest and charge.
Admitted two counts of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, two counts of being concerned in the supply of cannabis, single counts of being concerned in the supply of amphetamine and cannabis resin, and possession of goods with a false trademark for sale in relation to tobacco products. Police estimated he was speeding at 67mph, double the 30mph limit, and his driving was described as 'like a missile'. The vehicle mounted the pavement and struck Freddie Coleman, 15, and another boy from behind as they walked to a bus stop. Freddie died instantly at the scene after being knocked into the road and struck by an oncoming van. The second boy suffered life-changing injuries. Mahebadevan made a false insurance claim three days later blaming a bus.
Pleaded guilty to causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving in January. Concurrent 4 years for serious injury. 13-year driving ban. Of good character prior to incident with clean driving licence.

Liam Ryan, 27, of Clacton-on-Sea, was found in possession of 29 Category A indecent images of children, 19 Category B files, 80 Category C files, nine prohibited images, and six files of extreme pornography on his phone. An investigation began in February 2025 after Essex Police received intelligence about his online accounts linked to sending and receiving indecent images. His phone was seized during a search of his home in March 2025. He engaged in online chats expressing preference for children aged four to 15, the younger the better, and shared pictures of a woman in various states, referring to her in derogatory terms. He made full admissions upon arrest.
Pleaded guilty to all eight offences. Of good character with demonstrated remorse. Engaged in vile conversations. Also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years and placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years.

Vison Tahiaraj, 21, of Tillotson Road, Edmonton, London, was seen repeatedly driving into a car park in South Woodham Ferrers and picking up items from a parked car. Members of the public spotted the suspicious activity and alerted police. Officers searched the parked car and found several lumps of cocaine in a large black washbag. When Tahiaraj returned, he was arrested, and a search of his car revealed a large grey sock containing wraps of cocaine and a baseball bat.
Admitted possession of cocaine with intent to supply. Banned from driving for 1 year and licence endorsed. Court ordered forfeiture and destruction of drugs and baseball bat, and deprivation order for phone and cash seized.

On December 23, 2025, Khurram Bashir, a taxi driver from Springfield Park Lane in Chelmsford, drove the wrong way down the A12 at 50-60mph while more than two-and-a-half times over the drink drive limit. He narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a member of the public, forcing her to swerve, and came within metres of crashing into a police car travelling at 70mph, leaving an officer shaken. He was stopped by a police officer blocking two lanes. Bashir attributed his state to anxiety, depression, and panic from a feared return of a diagnosed condition, after drinking a considerable amount of alcohol.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving. Of previous good character with no convictions and three points on licence. Suffered from anxiety, depression, and panic. Recorder Paul Sharkey described actions as 'foolish and stupid' and noted it was a very bad case where a head-on collision could have been devastating and fatal.

On 17 February 2024, Sam Minter engaged in affray by pinning an unknown male to the floor and repeatedly punching him in the head, captured on CCTV. After fleeing with his stepson Taylor Oliver, police attempted to detain them. Minter threatened to kill Officer 1 with a pen while the officer was vulnerable on the floor after being assaulted by Oliver. Later, while being pursued and detained by Officer 2, Minter placed the officer in a chokehold and punched him. Minter was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. Both officers suffered significant psychological impacts, including fear, sleep disturbances, and reduced work capacity, as detailed in victim personal statements. Minter and Oliver admitted the offences in interviews and apologised.

Chace Wiseman, from Witham, committed a series of sexual offences against vulnerable young victims. These included raping and sexually assaulting children under 13, as well as creating and possessing indecent photographs and extreme pornographic images of toddlers and young children, some of which were AI-altered. The offences were uncovered following an investigation by Essex Police, who arrested him at his home in January 2025 and seized seven devices containing hundreds of images and videos. The crimes had a profound impact on the victims and their families, with one victim's father reporting severe emotional distress, including difficulty sleeping and anxiety about leaving his daughter alone.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a child under 13, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, one count of possession of extreme pornographic footage, one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child, and six counts of making an indecent photograph of a child. Mitigating factors included his age (17 at the time), mild learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, and history of bullying. The judge described the offences as 'disturbing' and 'quite shocking'. He was also placed on the sex offender register, issued a restraining order, and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order.

The loans, intended to support businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, were spent on paying off debts, home improvements, separate investments, luxury watches, and cars. He was arrested on 11 February 2022, and digital evidence linked him to the fraud. Accounts were frozen, and £66,574.20 recovered.
Pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud by false representation. Disqualified from acting as a company director for five years. Sentences to run concurrently.
