On March 16, 2025, after celebrating Newcastle United's Carabao Cup final victory, Andrew Clark, 43, was shopping at Sainsbury's in Beckenham, South London, with his wife Cairistine when Demiesh Williams, 30, of Fir Tree Gardens in Addington, Croydon, jumped the queue in front of him. Andrew challenged Williams, who reacted angrily, vowing to 'get him outside'. As the family left the shop, Williams approached Andrew and slapped him with an open hand, causing Andrew to fall and hit his head. Andrew died from severe head injuries in hospital three days later on March 19, 2025. Williams fled the scene in his car with his young child inside.
Admitted manslaughter. Must serve at least two-thirds before eligibility for release. No apology given, which worsened the family's heartbreak. Sentenced by Judge Andrew Lees, who acknowledged the devastating impact on the family.

Officers lost sight of the car, but shortly after, it crashed into an ambulance on an emergency call at the roundabout connecting the slip road with the A278 Hoath Way, injuring two paramedics who were taken to hospital. Foster-Smith fled but was located in nearby woodland using drones and police dogs, where he was arrested and found with Class B drugs.

The camera was later destroyed by an improvised explosive device, but this was not linked to the defendant.
