Sentence
five years in prison
Daniel Band raped a sleeping woman at his house in Avondale, Ash Vale, Guildford, Surrey, GU12. On Saturday December 14 2013, Band had been on a night out in Aldershot when he met the victim with a friend. There had been no suggestion of sexual talk or foreplay prior. The victim's friend left the house, leaving her and Band in the living room.
Found guilty after denying one count of anal rape.
