A woman who was in the rear of the car died, while the other two passengers were both left with serious injuries. Latham fled the scene immediately, with witnesses seeing him on his phone, but not calling an ambulance. It’s believed he was calling someone to help him secure his escape from the scene. He was arrested by Greater Manchester Police at a property in Oldham the following day.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Also disqualified from driving for 17 years. Was on a life licence from an indefinite sentence in 2011.

Edward Gratwick, aged 68 from Mitcham, south London, engaged in online communications from February 2023 to March 2025 using encrypted apps like Teleguard and Session to discuss and plan the sexual abuse of children as young as six, including drugging victims with Rohypnol and GHB. He plotted to travel abroad, including to Romania, to rape children and was arrested at Stansted Airport in March 2024 while attempting to board a flight after international partners alerted the NCA to his plans to meet and abuse a nine-year-old girl. Searches revealed over 1,300 indecent images of children on his devices, including 632 Category A images, and items intended for abuse. He claimed to be investigating child abuse but was disbelieved by the jury.
Pleaded guilty to possession and supply of a Class B drug. Found guilty of 38 offences including arranging or attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, distributing indecent images of children, and possessing indecent images of children. Judge noted no remorse and described him as utterly manipulative and dangerous.

A search of Harvey Constable-Eliba's and Louis Cummings' properties uncovered 130 large nitrous oxide (Nos) cannisters, also known as laughing gas, as well as weighing scales with white powder on and multiple phones and sim cards.

On 3 November 2019, just after 10am near Merstham, Surrey, he was making a phone call to a friend when he collided with a 1903 Knox vintage car driven by Ronald Carey, 80, and his wife Billi, who were participating in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. The couple had mistakenly taken the slip road for the M23 instead of the A23. The vintage car, lacking a front windscreen, door, or roof, and with a top speed of 30mph, was travelling at 21mph in the third lane when hit by Black's Scania lorry. Both were thrown from the vehicle; Ronald Carey suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, while Billi was air-lifted to hospital with life-threatening head injuries. Black claimed a 'looming' phenomenon caused him to miss the slower vehicle.

Ben Newman, a 32-year-old Animal Rising activist, ran onto the track at the Epsom Derby on June 3, 2023, as the race was about to start, forcing police and security to intervene and remove him to avoid danger. Rupesh Seth, a GP from Wareham in Dorset, travelled approximately 100 miles to Egham in Surrey in 2020 to attempt to abuse a 10-year-old girl. He used encrypted chat programmes to discuss child sex abuse and arranged the offence with a man he met online, who was actually an undercover officer. Subsequent searches of his phones revealed 41 indecent images of children, including 27 at category A level. There was no real-life victim, as the investigation involved law enforcement.
Admitted to trying to arrange and facilitate the commission of a child sex offence and three counts of making indecent images of children. His actions were described as deplorable and fundamentally incompatible with being a doctor, leading to him being struck off the medical register.

Police investigations revealed messages confirming these arrangements, and a victim reported a 'sex for rent' setup where she was required to sleep in his bed and provide sexual favours. The incidents occurred around 2018-2019, leading to his arrest and conviction.
