Jason Hill, 59, of Ashford, Middlesex, hired 19-year-old Thomas Neate to help demolish a garage at a domestic property on Glebe Road in Staines-upon-Thames on August 16, 2023. Tom was on the garage roof removing tiles and materials when he fell through an opening, suffering severe head injuries. He died on September 23, 2023. No measures were in place to prevent falls from height, work was done directly from the roof without scaffolding or protective systems. No risk assessment for asbestos was conducted, and corrugated concrete sheets containing asbestos were handled manually, exposing workers and the family to fibres. Additional concerns included unsafe mini-digger use and failure to secure the site from public access.
Pleaded guilty. No costs awarded. HSE Inspector noted failure to implement basic safety measures led to the death.

Tina Smith, 59, of no fixed address, has a history of anti-social behaviour in Spelthorne, including setting fires to bins and damaging cars and shop windows, leading to a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order in April 2025. On November 15, 2025, she attended a pub in Ashford and threatened to set fire to the building. A member of the public called 999, and she was found nearby with three lighters. She was arrested for breaching the CBO, threats to destroy or damage property, and two public order offences.
Pleaded not specified. Previously issued a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in April 2025 at the same court for anti-social behaviour including setting fires to bins, damaging cars and shop windows. The CBO restricted entry to Staines town centre 9am-3pm, possession of fire-starting items, and causing disturbance. Sentenced for breaching the CBO, threats to destroy or damage property, and two public order offences.

Harrison Sullivan was driving a purple McLaren supercar at more than 71mph on the single-carriageway A30 in Virginia Water, which has a 40mph speed limit, when it crashed into another vehicle in March 2024. Witnesses reported him travelling at least 100mph or more. He failed to attend court in November 2024, went on the run, posting social media videos from Qatar, Dubai, Thailand, and Spain, and was arrested in October 2025 in Spain on unrelated matters before being extradited to the UK.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving without insurance. Judge described actions as a deliberate decision to ignore the rules of the road but did not impose harsher sentence to set example for social media following. Sullivan expressed shame in letter to court.

Qais Al-Aswad, a 26-year-old asylum seeker from Syria living at a Horley hotel, sexually assaulted three women by grabbing them as he cycled past in Horley in May and June 2025. He fled Syria in 2018 after his home was bombed and arrived in the UK from Turkey in 2024. In court, he claimed unfamiliarity with UK laws on physical contact and suggested faulty bicycle brakes, asserting he touched the women to avoid crashing. Victims reported feeling shocked, upset, angry, and disgusted; one could no longer walk with headphones on. Following his conviction on August 20, 2025, around 200 anti-immigration protesters gathered outside his hotel.
District Judge Julie Cooper noted psychological harm to victims. Subject to sexual harm prevention order with monitoring tag. Banned from using bicycle or scooter without GPS tracking.

Todd Hamilton-Forbes, 43, of Horley, engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour towards a woman over approximately eight months. His actions included tracking her location, forcing her to disclose her whereabouts at all times, and making excessive phone calls, including 107 calls over a five-day period. On August 7, 2025, he entered her address with a knife, violating a previous expired restraining order. He was arrested that day and again on August 9, 2025, when found outside her address.
