A machete was also found. Evidence showed Kesler and his partner living beyond their means, with almost 70 items of designer clothing (55 genuine), dental treatment costing under £4,000, and a £500 restaurant bill.

Just two months later, on May 3, 2025, hours after appearing in Leeds magistrates for another driving offence, he drove a Volkswagen Passat through red lights at up to 70mph in Bradford city centre in the early hours, abandoned the vehicle, and attempted to flee but was detained. Officers gave space due to public safety concerns, as captured on dash cam footage. He also possessed 15 wraps of crack cocaine during the first incident.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and possession of 15 wraps of crack cocaine. Judge Tahir Khan KC noted the defendant had a bad record for driving offences and no respect for the rules of the road. Barrister submitted for suspended sentence due to rehabilitation prospects and no further offending since community order, but immediate custody imposed.

The chase lasted six minutes until the vehicle stopped, and he was arrested after hiding in the rear. This followed a prior incident on June 30, 2025, where he was spotted driving a Ford Fiesta uninsured and disqualified.

She reported him to police, who arrested him; he abused officers with racist and homophobic language. The victim suffered lasting anxiety, nightmares, bruises, and neck marks, fearing for her life and withdrawing from social interactions.

Heroin was concealed in clothes such as leather jackets and delivered to her home, where she processed it in her spare room converted into a heroin processing plant. She removed the drug, put it into 1kg deal bags, and distributed multi-kilo consignments to UK contacts. On one occasion, she collected £250,000 for the OCG from a criminal in Bradford. Phone evidence showed hundreds of messages with an accomplice in Pakistan about supplying heroin in the UK. She was arrested at the property in June 2024, where officers found 85kg of heroin, £8.5 million in cash, a wallpaper pasting table, scales, buckets, tools, boxes of plastic-wrapped clothing, and remnants of processed boxes.

Sabeel Hanif, a 34-year-old restaurant worker, armed with a knife with a four-to-five centimetre blade, robbed the Moor Stores on Leeds Old Road in Bradford on the afternoon of May 24, 2024. He shouted at the shop worker 'you can call the f****** police', grabbed a bottle of whisky, banged on the till, pulled out the drawer spilling cash, and stole about £45 in notes and cash before fleeing. The victim, a vulnerable woman who had worked at the shop for 30 years, was left extremely shook up and scared of being harmed, fearing sleepless nights. A woman provided information identifying Hanif as the culprit a few weeks later, leading to his arrest at his home on Leeds Old Road.
Pleaded guilty in March. Previously convicted of robbery in 2011. On remand for 15 months prior to sentencing. Addressing alcohol problems.
Lee Venni

Lee Venni, a 47-year-old drug addict from Cherrytree Grove, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, travelled 126 miles through the night to Bradford and set fire to a BMW car parked outside a family home in the early hours of June 25, 2025. He used a petrol can containing fuel, as captured on CCTV, destroying the vehicle completely and causing fire damage to a side door of the house, a nearby Lexus, and a stand-alone garage. The family, including the owner, his wife, and three children, were asleep inside and escaped after a neighbour alerted the fire service. Venni, a disqualified and uninsured driver, believed the act was part of an insurance fraud to escape drug-related debt. The incident had substantial financial and psychological impacts, leaving the children in shock five months later and destroying the family's sense of safety at home. The BMW had been recently purchased for £10,000 to be used as a taxi.
Pleaded guilty to arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered, driving while disqualified, and driving while uninsured. Banned from driving for 54 months. Over 50 prior convictions for dishonesty and driving offences. Expressed deep shame and apology to the family.

Mirlan Palushaj was found hiding in the loft of an abandoned terrace house on Gibbet Street, Halifax, which contained a cannabis farm with 820 plants in various stages of growth across nine rooms, equipped with fans, lighting, and electrical transformers. Electricity had been bypassed, and windows covered. He arrived in the UK on a six-month visitor visa in June 2025, lost his documents in London, begged on the streets of Manchester, and was taken to Halifax by two men who threatened him into tending the plants. He struggled with alcohol and gambling addictions.
Pleaded guilty to producing cannabis. No previous convictions. Judge recommended deportation to Albania.
Gerald Mccann

Gerald McCann, 57, formerly of Peace Street, Bradford, deliberately ploughed down a Yorkshire dad in an outrageous road rage attack on Planetrees Road, Bradford. McCann pulled up beside the victim in his van, shouted racist abuse, and asked why he was following him. After the victim threw a wooden stick that missed the van, McCann drove off but returned, driving at speed towards the father, swerving to hit him on the right side of his body, knocking him to the ground. The victim suffered a fractured forearm and deep lacerations to his arm and hands. McCann then chased the victim, shouting more racist remarks and poking him with a carpet gripper rod. McCann had 25 previous convictions for almost 50 offences.
Admitted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Suffered from psychiatric issues and hearing voices at the time. Judge warned that another violent offence could lead to sentencing as a dangerous offender and life in prison.

Officers raided his home in June 2025, finding nearly £8,000 in cash and incriminating evidence on his mobile phones, including drug adverts. This occurred months after his release on licence in January 2025 following a 30-month sentence in July 2024 for similar offences. His third child was born three weeks prior to sentencing.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of criminal property. Released on licence in January after previous 30-month sentence for similar offences. Judge Roger Thomas KC commented on hoping for better behaviour upon release.
