Louise Nixon admitted four thefts. The court heard police were called to a flat on October 25, 2024, where a man was found unresponsive and CPR was unsuccessful. A number of watches were missing and Nixon was caught on camera leaving with a black box believed to contain the watches. It was unclear whether she took the items before or after the man's death. She also stole items from a pharmacy on September 12, 2025, and took four items valued at £128 from a store on August 29 of this year. On August 30 she was disorderly in Altnagelvin Hospital, shouting and swearing.

Admitted four thefts committed in 2024, 2025 and this year. The defence solicitor said the theft of the watches had attracted a good deal of community attention.

Martin Sheridan assaulted a man on August 13, pushing him from behind while the victim was making his way home. Sheridan was shouting at the victim about allegedly injuring his partner. He was identified via CCTV and later found on John Street in Derry.

Defence solicitor said alcohol had been a common denominator in previous convictions but Sheridan is in a 'much better place' now.

On July 1, a stolen van reported by its owner was found three hours later with the keys in the ignition and Grant inside. Police suspected he was under the influence of drugs and found Class C drugs in a search. He was also found to be disqualified from driving and later refused to provide a blood sample in hospital.

Grant admitted possessing drugs and driving while disqualified but denied the vehicle-related charges. His solicitor said he had been in custody since July, the van was returned undamaged, and he had long-standing addiction issues.

Jeremy Stephen O’Keefe, of Derby, neglected his 10-year-old Alaskan Malamute, Kodiak, found significantly overweight and struggling with a large, ulcerated, infected watermelon-sized anal tumour causing severe pain and restricting movement, at his home in April 2025. He breached a lifetime animal disqualification order imposed in April 2017. RSPCA officer Ross Allan discovered the dog in poor condition with foul odour, transported it to RSPCA Newbrook Animal Hospital in Birmingham where vet determined failure to provide pain relief and manage obesity; dog euthanised due to poor prognosis.

Convicted in absence. Magistrates remarked the case was very unpleasant and serious, but took into account his physical and mental health issues. In mitigation: 74 years old with health issues; relationship with dog clouded judgement in providing care; claims no knowledge of existing disqualification order.

A witness reported seeing a man walk away carrying number plates. Police traced the vehicle to an address but did not find him there. John Haynes, 53, of Ripley, used a tirade of abuse including antisemitic remarks towards members of the public at shops in Ripley after drinking heavily on the morning of 9 May. He spat on a police officer as he was arrested 10 days later, after neighbours reported him banging on doors and windows, swearing and behaving in an intimidating way.

Pleaded guilty to racially-aggravated harassment, using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress on both 9 and 19 May, and assaulting an emergency worker. Alcohol-fuelled behaviour caused significant alarm and distress.
