Khalid Aziz Faraj sold, or was involved in the sale of, five packets of cigarettes at The Rushes Store Limited, trading as Loughborough International, during two covert test purchase visits by Trading Standards officers on January 8 and January 16, 2026. The sales were part of a series of illegal tobacco sales at the shop, involving smuggled and counterfeit cigarettes.

Pleaded guilty. Fine reduced from £500 due to early guilty plea. Also ordered to pay £133 victim surcharge and £160 prosecution costs, total £626. Magistrates said he played a limited role and was operating under the supervision of an employer.

Guy Martin was caught speeding twice on his Honda motorcycle. The first offence occurred on July 15, 2025, at around 5pm on the A50 near Leicester, where he rode at 46mph in a 40mph limit. The second offence was on March 19, 2026, at 9.24am on the A43 near Brackley, where he rode at 78mph in a temporary 50mph limit due to HS2 roadworks. He was prosecuted by Northamptonshire and Leicestershire police forces after triggering speed cameras.

Admitted to two speeding offences. Reached at least 12 points on licence leading to totting up disqualification. Did not oppose the ban and case dealt with in private via Single Justice Procedure. Apologised to the court for his offending.
