Adam Paull, 27, of Tyn y Wen, Tonyrefail, arrived at Ashleigh Devine’s home in Cardiff on October 9, 2025, forced his way inside pushing past her friend Nigel Grant, aggressively threatened Grant, went to bedroom demanding £250 she owed him, struck Ms Devine and pushed her to the neck causing her to fall on bed and bite her tongue which bled, threatened to kill her and her dog unless money paid, she transferred funds via banking app and showed transaction before he left.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault by beating. Has 14 previous convictions including two offences of battery. Mental health had deteriorated. Restraining order lasting five years imposed by Judge Paul Hobson.

Corey Baldwin, of Twyn Gardens, Cefn Fforest, Blackwood, ran a cocaine supply operation in Blackwood between May 15, 2025 and August 10, 2025. Caught red-handed supplying customers outside the Moggridge Arms on High Street in Blackwood town centre at around 11.10pm on August 9, 2025. One buyer seen snorting cocaine nearby. Found with cocaine (street value £380-£640), £195 cash, small quantities of ecstasy and ketamine. Mobile phone analysis showed he coordinated drops to users and used others to sell on his behalf, with messages like 'I’ve sold those for you.'
Admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of ketamine. Clean record, young age, employment, mental health and addiction issues considered in mitigation. Recorder Greg Bull KC noted persistent law breaking and misery caused by class A drugs to communities. Ordered to pay statutory victim surcharge. Will serve around 40 per cent in custody before release on licence.

Connor Sainsbury, 21, from Caerphilly, was arrested on 13 June as part of Operation Bergen, an initiative targeting organised crime groups in the Rhymney area. He was involved in the supply of controlled class B drugs cannabis and ketamine to dealers lower down the chain, benefitting from the sale of drugs and making substantial money. The operation involved arrests in Gwent and Manchester.
Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis and ketamine, and possession of an offensive weapon. Played a leading role in the distribution and sale of ketamine and cannabis as part of a nationwide network of drug dealers leading back to Liverpool.

Martin Conway, 36, and Christopher Llewellyn, 34, broke into a Canton property in the early hours of the morning while the 78-year-old victim slept. Llewellyn entered the victim’s bedroom and took the victim’s debit card before video footage showed him running to the end of the street and giving it to Conway. Conway then used the card at a nearby cashpoint and took £500 from the victim’s account. Both suspects changed clothes and shoes in an attempt to avoid detection. The pair can then be seen using the money for alcohol in a nearby garage before leaving in a taxi.
Charged with burglary and fraud by false representation. Given a 10-year restraining order against the victim.

Christopher Norris, a 73-year-old man formerly of Cwmbran and now of Caestory Crescent, Raglan, Monmouthshire, breached an indefinite sexual harm prevention order imposed in 2019 by using a private browser on Safari on his iPhone on 13 separate occasions between March 20, 2025 and October 7, 2025. Using a private browser was expressly prohibited. The breaches were discovered during an arranged meeting in Pontypool with a police detective sergeant and a probation officer, after which Norris became irate and claimed ignorance of how to use the private browser.
Pleaded guilty to breaching sexual harm prevention order. Lengthy history of sexual offences including indecent assault of a girl under 14, gross indecency, and possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children. Prior suspended sentence for similar breach. Judge Recorder Greg Bull KC noted appalling record, disagreement with low risk assessment, and no prospect of rehabilitation.

Phone seized and examined confirming regular use in the week post-release. Arrested for SHPO breach. In interview denied but suggested accidental TikTok access. Defence claimed second-hand phone from relative, previously shown to police on 27 and 31 October, no evidence of contact with under-18s, breach spanned four days.

Will serve up to half in custody before release on licence. Has eight prior convictions for 16 offences including child sexual assault.

On the night of 9 August 2025, Rhys Mew of Willow Road, Gurnos, Merthyr, fired a 9mm handgun during a chase of rival drug dealer Craig Harris on the Gurnos housing estate as part of an ongoing drugs feud. CCTV and video doorbell footage showed him with brother Jack Mew and Garyn Marshall-Palmer pursuing Harris down an alley in Magnolia Close. A spent cartridge was recovered; live ammunition found at family home; gun residue and cocaine deals in his bag. Facebook messages threatened Harris for robbing sales. Extensive phone evidence of supplying cocaine and crack cocaine, including £58,000 worth in deals. On bail at time for prior drug offences; arrested at Bristol Airport on 5 August 2024 returning from Turkey.

Neil Owen, 47, of Mill Street, Pontypridd, was physically abusive towards his wife during their 15-year relationship, which ended in 2025 due to his infidelity. Prior incidents included throwing her to the floor and repeatedly kicking her bottom causing bruising, and kicking her leg and punching her arm causing bruising on Christmas Eve 2024. The final incident on September 2, 2025, after they split, occurred when Owen attended her home to collect belongings. They argued about his infidelity; she pushed him towards the door and told him to leave. He pushed her back, spat at her; she spat back, pushed him out, but he forced her backwards into the kitchen counter, causing her to hit her back and fall, fracturing her spine. A neighbour intervened. Owen called her a 'p***y' when she couldn't get up.
Pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and two counts of assault by beating. No previous convictions. On remand in custody since September 2025, equivalent to an 18-month sentence. Made subject to a restraining order for 10 years.

Despite being told to stop, he continued and breached a stalking protection order by sending a further thousand messages. He also stalked a second woman working at a homeware shop in Cardiff, referring to her as 'the pretty blonde girl', leading to a warning from her employers.
Convicted at trial of two counts of stalking and one count of breaching a stalking prevention order. Judge noted paranoid personality rather than psychiatric disorder, no insight into offending and no remorse. Prior convictions for assault occasioning actual bodily harm (1992) and obstructing an enforcement officer (2012). Subject to 15-year restraining orders for both victims.
