No substantial work was done. In the second incident, Smith offered to work on an 80-year-old man's trees, fence, and roof for £18,500, paid in cash. Another man then aggressively demanded and received an additional £7,500, totaling £30,500 paid to Smith, but no work was completed.

On the morning of 23 December 2023, Adam Wright, 39, of Bishop's Waltham, visited his wife's 78-year-old grandmother, June Henty, while she was preparing to go Christmas shopping with her daughter. In a rage after she refused his demands for money, Wright attacked her more than 100 times to the head, face, and neck with a knife. Mrs Henty was found by family members, underwent major surgery, and spent 90 days in ICU. She named Wright as her attacker to family and emergency responders. Wright was arrested that same day after a short manhunt. Initially charged with attempted murder, to which he pleaded guilty, Mrs Henty died on 14 June 2024 from the knife wounds, leading to a murder charge, which he also admitted.

Martin Suter, 68, of Lee-on-the-Solent, near Gosport, Hampshire, murdered his ex-wife Ann Blackwood, 71, at Crofton Cemetery in Stubbington, Hampshire, on July 24, 2023, which was the 36th birthday of their deceased son Christopher, who died accidentally in 2003. Suter lay in wait for five hours at the cemetery, armed with a large kitchen knife from his home. When Blackwood arrived by bicycle to visit the grave and cut flowers with scissors she brought, he stabbed her in the back with the knife, which broke, then repeatedly stabbed her 19 times in the neck and shoulder with the scissors. He called 999 at 3.39pm admitting to the murder, appeared calm, and blamed her for his son's death, which he mistakenly believed was suicide. The attack was planned, with Suter anticipating her visit. Blackwood was vulnerable due to her age and the surprise attack from behind at a peaceful location.
Pleaded guilty to murder. Also sentenced to an additional 121 days for indecent assault of a girl under 14, to which he had pleaded guilty in May 2023 at Manchester Crown Court. Diagnosed with autism and depression. No genuine remorse expressed.

The victim and his partner had been dining at the café and became unsettled by Hardy staring at them. As they left and walked near the Quay Street junction around 11am, the attack occurred. The victim initially thought he had been punched but soon realised he was seriously injured. He and his partner fled to the nearby police station for help, where witnesses saw Hardy hide the knife and follow them. Police arrested Hardy upon his arrival at the station, and he surrendered the weapon. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, but the incident could have resulted in more serious harm.
Pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Also admitted to possession of a knife in a public place and possession of cannabis. A concurrent 12-month sentence was given for the knife and drug offences.

On the morning of Friday, September 27, 2024, Oliver Smith waited in the Deadwater Valley area of Bordon for the teenage victim or another as she walked to school. Smith approached her, threatened her with a boxcutter, saying 'Shush, shut up, you're coming with me,' and forced her to a remote area. Smith forced the victim to strip and sexually assaulted her, including rape and attempted rape. Smith then took her to a river, filled a bottle with water, and ordered her to wash away DNA traces. After the attack, Smith fled by train to Mallaig in the Scottish Highlands before being apprehended by Police Scotland and returned to Hampshire.

Teejay Scott stabbed a 28-year-old woman six times near Walpole Park in Gosport following an altercation on Gosport High Street in the early hours of Sunday, July 28, 2024. The victim managed to call for help and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, where she underwent surgery for her injuries, which were not life-threatening.
Admitted grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife. Detective Constable Ethan Beesley commented that the sentence sends a clear message against violence against women and girls and knife crime in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Jordan William Ruston, 25, of Howe Road, committed multiple burglaries. Overnight on June 29-30, 2023, he entered a flat at the Anchorage in Gosport, stealing electronics and a bank card. On July 2, 2023, he burgled two properties on Tukes Avenue and one on Brookers Lane, taking electronics equipment and bank cards. He was linked to these crimes via a gifted Nintendo Switch and other evidence. Separately, on November 4, 2024, he broke into a house on Village Close, stealing a purse; took jewellery from a property on Gosport Road in Stubbington; stole rings and airsoft equipment from St Nicholas Avenue; and on the following night, stole electronics, bank cards, a knife from Totland Road, and electronics, jewellery, and a moped from Magennis Road. The moped was later found dumped in a pond near his home. He also possessed offensive weapons, including a knuckle duster and telescopic baton, at his home address.
Admitted to nine offences, linked through DNA evidence and usage of bank cards. A forfeiture order was made for the weapons.

In August 2023, an 89-year-old woman from Portsmouth was tricked into withdrawing £3,500 and handing it over to a courier, with Katalay involved in collecting the money and bank cards.

Mohan Babu, a 47-year-old GP, abused his position of trust by sexually assaulting female patients during routine medical appointments at a surgery in the Havant area of Portsmouth, Hampshire, between September 2019 and July 2021. The assaults involved groping, kissing without consent, asking patients to remove clothing unnecessarily, non-consensual intimate touching, and prolonged hugs. Victims were unknown to each other and reported separately, revealing a pattern of offending. One victim had terminal cancer and passed away before conviction; her evidence was admitted to the jury. Evidence from five other complainants was also admitted via bad character application.

Kevin Smith, formerly known as Ashley Corbin, aged 35, a maintenance manager from West Downs Close, Fareham, Hampshire, purchased sexual abuse footage of girls aged 12 to 16 who had been blackmailed by Abdul Elahi. He paid Elahi £295 in Amazon vouchers and £40 via PayPal on multiple occasions between March and May 2018 for the material, which included 326 videos and images stored in a Dropbox account (43 Category A, 26 Category B, 257 Category C). Additional material was found on his computers and cloud accounts, totaling 329 Category A, 604 Category B, and 4,990 Category C images and videos. Many victims were forced to state their name and age on camera. He was arrested on 28 June 2019 by NCA officers.
Also given a 10 year sexual harm prevention order. Pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.

In February 2016, Kieran Cameron and Michael O’Rourke stabbed a 22-year-old man from Poole around 10 times in the stomach, neck, and back of the head. The attack was a pre-planned assault motivated by a threat from a rival gang, with the intent to kill the victim and blame the rivals. The victim was known to them. Members of the public came to the victim's aid, and he was treated at Poole Hospital.
Serving sentence for attempted murder. Detective Sergeant Jamie Halford commented that violent knife-related crime is unacceptable and the courts came down heavily on such attacks.
