After Delbono stabbed 16-year-old Charley Bates in The Street on Sunday, July 31, 2022, they fled the scene. They stopped at various points where they learned Charley had died before heading to Shearwater Lake, near Warminster. While at the lake, Ephgrave took photos of clothes being burned in an attempt to dispose of evidence.
Pleaded guilty to assisting an offender. Judge William Hart remarked she had chosen to help Delbono after he fatally wounded Charley Bates, rather than the critically injured teenager. Recognised the dignity Charley’s family had shown throughout the legal proceedings.
