On a night in April 2024, Harvey Gallagher, then 18, was asked to leave the George Hotel pub on Commercial Street in Brighouse but returned 90 minutes later. He became aggressive when asked to leave again, took a fighting stance, punched one landlord in the face, and punched the other, knocking him unconscious with injuries including a fractured nose, busted lip, and concussion. He directed a racial slur at one landlord. Outside the pub, he punched another man who had ushered him out and drew a knife, lunging at him. Gallagher was restrained by police and taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital for an eye injury, where he continued making racist comments, including references to the Southport attack and Tommy Robinson in the presence of children.

Scott Dunn, a 45-year-old self-employed window cleaner from Windy Grove, Wilsden, attacked a man outside the Bull’s Head pub on Great Horton Road, Bradford, in July 2023 following a row inside the pub. As the victim turned to face him, Dunn delivered a sucker punch causing the man to fall unconscious and bang his head on the ground. While the victim was unconscious, Dunn punched him eight more times in the face and kicked him in the ribs before returning to the pub. CCTV footage captured the incident. The victim spent a month in hospital, suffered bleeds on the brain, a fractured skull, anxiety attacks, sleep disturbances, and has no memory of the attack.
Found guilty by jury of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Last conviction for violence was 13 years ago. Has helped prison authorities by supporting a suicidal inmate.

She was found unconscious, never regained consciousness, and died two days later from a brain injury caused by lack of oxygen.
