The council was notified in May 2014, issued an enforcement notice after a retrospective application was refused due to visual impact. Ghafoor took ownership in 2016, inheriting the requirement to remove it, but ignored it.

Pleaded guilty to failing to comply with an enforcement notice dating back to 2014. Told to still demolish the unauthorised front extension.

On 17 August 2023, a 13-year-old test purchaser working for Trading Standards entered Moes Newsagent on Bridge Street, Bradford, and was sold a Crystal Promax 4000 red apple ice disposable electronic cigarette containing 10ml of liquid (illegal as over 2ml limit) without being asked for ID. Naweed was working behind the till.

Pleaded guilty to selling a nicotine product to someone under the age of 18. Recognised the 13-year-old test purchaser as a regular customer and did not ask for ID. Suspended for one month after the incident but has returned to work. Expressed remorse.
