Trimayne Maguire, 29, from Longfield Avenue, Huddersfield, was part of a gang of up to 30 riders marauding through Bradford streets in broad daylight on a Sunday afternoon in July 2024. The gang, including off-road bikes, ran red lights, rode on both sides of the road, and over pedestrianised areas while pursued by police. During the pursuit on Holme Lane, Maguire crashed his quad-bike into a police officer deploying a stinger device, carrying the officer down the road towards the junction with Tong Street. The officer hung onto Maguire and the bike before pulling him off. The officer suffered a leg injury requiring hospital treatment, with ongoing stabbing pains and hypersensitivity, and felt he came very close to dying.
Pleaded guilty to dangerous driving. Judge noted participation in gang activity with dangerous riding. Partner due to give birth next month. Must serve half the sentence and pass extended re-test.

On 25 March, Chiemka Okoronta, a 29-year-old postgraduate student originally from Nigeria, tricked a 17-year-old girl into sharing a taxi after their night bus service unexpectedly terminated in Morley, Leeds. Instead of going to Bradford Interchange, the taxi went to his flat where he lured her inside, locked her in a toilet, and raped her. The victim stopped a passer-by to call the police after the attack. She reported suffering flashbacks and nightmares in her victim impact statement.

On November 2, 2024, Felix Hanrahan, 46, of no fixed abode, tricked his way into the home of an 85-year-old woman living alone in Keighley, Bradford, by claiming he needed £15 to fix her roof tiles. He entered uninvited, asked to use the toilet, and when she took two £10 notes from a jam jar to get rid of him, he grabbed the cash and stole an additional £180 from the jar before running away. The money was intended for his cocaine addiction. He was arrested later that night after giving a false name, as he was wanted on recall to prison.
Pleaded guilty a few weeks before trial. Expressed genuine remorse. Addicted to cocaine and spiralling out of control mentally. On prison licence for similar crimes and recalled to serve previous 78-month sentence. Judge noted offences were reprehensible, demonstrated lack of moral compass, and preyed on vulnerable elderly. Muhibur Rahman

In a further attack, he dragged her off a sofa and kicked her in the head and body with steel toe-capped footwear, causing significant bruising. He was arrested in February 2025.

He also sexually assaulted a teenage girl in the back room by attempting to pull off her top, stopped by the boy entering. Naveed rewarded the boy with vapes, money and £20 for oral sex, and paid for sexual services involving sharing photographs.

He discussed meeting her for sex and naughty activities. 'Olivia' was an undercover police officer. Officers searched his home on June 6, 2025, finding a damaged Motorola phone buried in the cellar used for the communications, a PlayStation 5, indecent images of children in categories A, B, and C, and extreme pornographic images of adults having sex with dogs. He was in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order banning internet devices without permission.

She was 20 weeks pregnant, and the assault led to her waters breaking and the stillbirth of the baby. Akbar also attempted to pervert the course of justice by pressuring her to lie about the incident, claiming she fell in another property, and sent messages begging her not to involve the police. Previous incidents included pushing her out of a car and slapping her.
Pleaded guilty to charges. Had previous convictions for offences involving a former partner. Judge highlighted his remorse, shame, and expressions like 'What’s the worst that is going to happen? Your baby will die. Let it die.'
