Thomas Gwilliam-Carter, 39, of Caswell Road in Leominster, Herefordshire, drugged a young girl and raped her, sharing videos of the attack online with other paedophiles via an encrypted chat app. He was identified by British investigators after the images were found on devices of a US suspect arrested by the FBI. On October 1, agents raided his home and seized his phone, which contained 3,651 indecent images of children, including some of the most serious category. He used an online pseudonym and had planned the assault in advance.
Placed on the sex offenders’ register for life. Pleaded guilty to one count of rape of a child under 13, three charges of making indecent images of children, and five counts of distributing illegal images.

In October 2022, he contaminated items such as hummus, salad dressings, and raw ingredients by adding non-food items like plastic bags, metal ring pulls, and an unknown substance, as captured on factory CCTV. He also admitted to combining fish sauce with soy sauce on one occasion. The contamination occurred in the storage area during his late shift as a picker. An internal investigation led to his identification, arrest on 10 November 2022, and subsequent guilty plea.
Pleaded guilty to contaminating products with items including plastic bags and metal ring pulls. None of the products contaminated reached restaurant guests.

David Bieber, a former US marine and bodybuilder serving a life sentence for the 2003 murder of PC Ian Broadhurst and attempted murder of two colleagues, attacked prison officer Alison Smith at HMP Long Lartin on August 10, 2017. He used a homemade pronged iron bar to grab her around the neck and launch a frenzied 10-second assault, punching her face and attempting to stab her, while threatening to kill her. The attack occurred in a locked corridor where she was isolated and vulnerable. Bieber claimed it was to secure a transfer to HMP Belmarsh for medication access. He was convicted of wounding with intent and possessing an unauthorised weapon after a week-long trial. The victim sustained cuts to her mouth, chin, and four wounds to her right arm, requiring hospital treatment, and has suffered life-changing constant pain and psychological harm.
Sentenced as a dangerous offender. Attack was planned and unprovoked, aimed at securing a prison transfer for better access to painkilling medication. Victim suffered permanent psychological condition. Overall minimum term extended from 37 to 43 years, eligible for release in 2047.

The collision resulted in Nick's death at the scene.

Nezam Salangy murdered his 28-year-old wife Zobaidah Salangy, likely at their Prego Pizza shop on Austin Road in Bromsgrove, on or around 27 March 2020. He dumped her body in an unmarked grave near Lower Bentley village, where it remained undiscovered for six months until October 2020. Salangy covered up the murder by sending fake text messages from her phone, reporting her missing, and claiming she had left him for a new boyfriend and intended to return to Afghanistan. The body was found bound in curtain wire, wrapped in black bin bags and a duvet cover matching items from their home. Telephone evidence linked him to arranging concealment with his brothers.
Pleaded not guilty but found guilty by jury after six-week trial. Judge noted prior violence in marriage and premeditated intent to kill. Continues to deny guilt.

Investigation revealed over 3,000 indecent images and videos of children on his computer, laptop, and phone, ranging from level one to five in severity, including extreme animal pornography and an indecent image of the victim. He had been abusing children through child pornography for some time.

The offences included sexual intercourse with a girl under 13, attempting to have intercourse with a girl under 13, gross indecency with a child under 14, and indecent assaults on a female.

The consignment was destined for Telford but redirected to a storage facility in Birmingham. He was arrested on August 21, 2013, after phone arrangements for collection. He also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply 9kg of cannabis.

Andrew Whitehead, a 34-year-old car trader from Mount Pleasant in Redditch, ran Purple Cars Ltd and Apex Car Finance Ltd from premises in Solihull and Stockwood Business Park. He clocked cars by adjusting the mileages for four vehicles totalling 222,444 miles and set up businesses using false details, defrauding the public. The first offence occurred in May 2012, just three months after his release from prison for other matters. The investigation began after residents complained about being duped into buying vehicles with significantly lowered mileages.
Disqualified as a company director for six years. Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. Judge Nicholas Cartwright noted he put his own wants above the needs of others and considered his actions a planned confidence fraud involving innocent victims.

On November 23, 2013, officers attempted to stop Phidel Gonzales driving on the ring road in Redditch. He rolled out of the car and ran off, causing the vehicle to crash into a fence outside a house. After a short foot chase, he was caught and searched at a police station, where 70 deals of crack and 70 deals of heroin, with a combined street value of £2,100, were found on him.

The firm reimbursed the losses and reported him to police.
