Cameron Jarvis, 19, from Whatman Road, London, was holding drugs lines for a network operating between South East London and Southampton known as ‘Callum’. On 12 January this year, officers carried out drug warrants in premises in Whatman Road, London, and Graham Street and York Close, Southampton. Jarvis was arrested at the Whatman Road property and items seized included phones used to send messages marketing Class A drugs, notes outlining drug deals and 14g of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of £1,400.
Previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug – crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug – crack cocaine. Part of Operation Monument tackling county lines drug networks.

Carla Dorward committed three incidents targeting elderly victims in Southampton. On 14 August 2021 between 6.40am and 6.55am at a flat in North East Close, she entered a man in his 70s' home pretending to use the toilet and stole his mobile phone and gold jewellery worth up to £725. On 26 March this year between 6.30pm and 7pm at a flat in Paynes Road, she entered another man in his 70s' home similarly, stole £15 cash and a bank card used for £114.52 in purchases. On 27 March this year between 5pm and 5.38pm at a flat in Padwell Road, she entered a woman in her 80s' home via a key safe, stealing a purse containing £70 cash, bank cards and club cards.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, one theft from dwelling and six of fraud by false representation.

Christopher Reynolds (35), of Howard Road, Southampton, targeted an empty property under renovation on Barrow Hill Road in Copythorne. He gained access via a sash window, pulled plaster from ceilings and walls to steal copper pipes, and cut electrical cables. The homeowner was alerted by CCTV, arrived to hear noise, and confronted Reynolds who threatened him saying 'This can go badly, I can call my boys' and explained he owed £20,000 to Albanian drug dealers who would kill him if he did not pay. Reynolds waited for police. Damage estimated at £9,000.
Pleaded guilty to non-dwelling burglary. Has 57 previous convictions including 12 for theft. Turned life around, no offences since October 2024 shoplifting due to homelessness, no drugs for a year, suffers ADHD, complex learning difficulties and recent mini stroke. Remorseful. Judge noted substantial financial loss from damage and threat to owner as aggravating factors, but recognised efforts to address drug addiction.

On Thursday 28 October 2021 at approximately 7.15pm, Christopher Spybey approached a woman in her 50s as she was getting into her car on London Road in Hilsea and sexually assaulted her by inappropriately touching her over her clothing. He then attempted to hug her and asked her repeatedly to kiss him, which she declined. Spybey told the victim that he had a knife in his possession. The victim escaped and reported the incident to police in the early hours of Friday 29 October. Spybey was identified, arrested later that day, and found to have a knife in his pocket.
Found guilty by jury after a two-day trial, having pleaded not guilty to sexual assault. Pleaded guilty to possession of a knife.

On 20 July 2021, on School Road in Totton, a 100-year-old cast iron soil pipe fell from a building site, striking a five-year-old boy on the head as he walked past with his mother after school, causing a fractured skull, ongoing headaches, anxiety, and behavioural changes. Jason Scorey had removed the bottom of the pipe but failed to check the rusted nails securing it to the wall or ensure its stability, despite the site being near a school gate during pick-up time.
Found guilty after trial of health and safety failings. Judge Nigel Peters KC noted he had done nothing to investigate the safety of the situation and no efforts were made to address the risk. Defence stated no prior accidents in 40 years and Scorey now suffers PTSD and anxiety.
Jonathon Schindler
Sending a communication threatening death *

On 2nd September, Jonathon Schindler (25), of Long Lane, Holbury, sent a voicenote to his ex-partner, who was pregnant and had split from him earlier in the year, stating: “I’ll kill your man, I’ll kill him. Do you know how f***** in the head I am? I will K-I-L-L him.” He stated he did not want her new partner around their children. He was arrested following a no-comment interview. Defence claimed no intention to carry out the threat, only to warn off the new partner, and expressed deep regret.
Charged under the Online Safety Act 2023 with sending a communication threatening death, breaching a prior 21-week suspended sentence imposed in June for possession of a knife in a public place. Judge took into account genuine remorse, mental health issues, and young age. Judge criticised the charging as incorrect and noted it should have been threats to kill. A two-year restraining order was also imposed.
Jordan Larcombe
Breach of Sexual Harm Prevention Order *

During a home visit on 14 June, officers found that 26-year-old Jordan Larcombe of Summit Way in Southampton had been messaging a woman over WhatsApp with the ‘disappearing messages’ facility enabled, meaning messages would disappear after 24 hours. In one message, he told the woman she could flirt with him as he had just enabled disappearing messages. He was arrested, charged with breaching his SHPO handed on 5 April 2017, and remanded to court.
Breached Sexual Harm Prevention Order by configuring disappearing messages on WhatsApp. Previously convicted of sexually abusing two teenage girls on the Isle of Wight in 2017.

Indecent images of children as young as 18 months were found on devices belonging to Keith Clapp (59), of Woodford Close, Ringwood. He was arrested after police searched his home in May 2023 on information received. Devices seized and analysis revealed 67 category A images (most severe), 39 category B, and 2,165 category C images. Children aged between 18 months and 14 years. In interview, denied sexual interest in children or accessing images, suggested previous users stored them.
Pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of possessing indecent images. Of previous good character, deeply remorseful, recognised exploitation of children, vowed never to reoffend, suffered mental health problems including depression.
Lucas Beau Corke

Lucas Beau Corke committed a series of offences: theft from motor vehicle on 5 December 2019 in Ryde; burglary at Seaview Yacht Club on 7 December 2019; burglary at Aspire building, Dover Street, Ryde on 9 December 2019; burglary at Bouldnor Road, Yarmouth on 21 August 2021; burglary at Osborne View Hotel, Hill Head on 8 September 2021. He used stolen bank cards for fraud on various dates in August and September 2021 at locations including Harvey’s in Yarmouth, Yarmouth bus station, Hunnyhill Stores in Newport, Co-op in Bembridge, Bayside Cabin, Pebble’s Wine Bar and The Star Pub in Gosport.
Pleaded guilty to all offences including theft from motor vehicle, multiple burglaries and seven counts of fraud by false representation.

Elidjon Dedaj and Kujtim Qungeli were near a white van facing the wrong way in a one-way system in Alfred Street on 19 March. They tried to run away when officers approached but were detained nearby. Qungeli had been seen going into a property in Alfred Street before detention. A search revealed a large quantity of cannabis being grown under high powered lights, evidence of a substantial fire near the fuse box, and dozens of bin bags filled with cannabis believed to have a street value of £352,000.
Pleaded guilty to producing a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis. Judge ordered seized drugs to be destroyed.

Lee Gibbon was part of a group that travelled from Southampton to Basingstoke in stolen vehicles on cloned number plates, before cycling into Festival Place shopping centre. Members used sledgehammers to smash the windows of the Beaverbrooks jewellery store on Monday 24 February last year, stealing £247,000 worth of high value watches.

Kiran Porter
Possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply cocaine *

On 5 July 2021 at 12.50pm, officers stopped a grey Mercedes driven by Porter in Laburnum Road, Southampton. He grabbed a drawstring bag from the car and ran but was detained nearby. The bag contained a pistol with silencer, a box of 50 9mm bullets, and cocaine worth up to £24,000. Previously, on 22 July 2020, a search of his address found £80,200 cash, 130g chemical agents for mixing with cocaine, 0.77g cocaine, £600 cash, a cannabis plant and five mobile phones showing evidence of drug supply.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of a firearm – a gun, a silencer and one round of ammunition – possession with intent to supply a class A drug – cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of a class A drug – cocaine. The judge ordered the drugs and firearms to be destroyed.

Causing death by careless driving whilst over the specified limit *

Kornel Marcinek, under the influence of a controlled drug and uninsured, drove a vehicle that collided with cyclist Joe Burton on Hill Lane, Southampton, at 9.58pm on Friday, July 23. The 33-year-old cyclist suffered serious injuries and died in Southampton General Hospital the following day.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving whilst over the specified limit of a controlled drug, and causing death whilst uninsured.

Mark Greenway contacted a 12-year-old girl on TikTok, believing her to be 19. In August 2024, she met him at the Novotel hotel in Southampton where he was staying for work. He arranged a taxi for her and raped her in his room, recording the encounter.
Admitted two charges of raping a girl under 13 and taking category A and B indecent photographs and videos. Judge ruled his belief in her age was unreasonable. Phone forfeited and destroyed. Sex offenders' register for life.

Terrance Bryant (41) and Luke Smith (36) targeted property in the early hours of 5th August 2025 in Lymington. Having stolen two BMXs from a van on High Street, the pair tried to break into a flat on St Thomas Street, then tried to force entry to a salon on Stanford Road. Smith stole a camera from a car. They burgled an address on Tylers Close, fleeing on the stolen BMXs with cash and gin. Police found both in Pennington in possession of the stolen gin.
Of Lagland Street, Poole. Admitted all offences at previous court hearings. Charged with burglary, two counts of attempted burglary, theft from a vehicle (BMXs) and further theft from a vehicle (camera).

Mark Anthony Mengham, aged 60, of Alfred Close in Totton, exchanged messages, often of a highly sexual nature, with a child who had repeatedly stated that they were 13 years old – although the victim was not real (decoy) – between December 2020 and January 2021 in the Totton area. Arrested on Friday 15 January 2021 and charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause or incite a female child under 13 to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity, and attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to view images of sexual activity. Sentenced on one count of attempted sexual communication with a child and one count of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.
Found guilty of numerous offences. Also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years, comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years, complete 40 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, and pay a victim surcharge and court costs.

On 4 August, officers carried out drugs warrants at addresses in Montserrat Road, Basingstoke and Bridge Road, Southampton, identifying Catton as holding a drugs line used to send marketing messages advertising the sale of Class A drugs – heroin and crack cocaine. Officers located the mobile phone used to send these messages.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin.
Noel Ward
Conspiracy to defraud *

Noel Ward, 32, from Wiltshire, bombarded the pensioner with phone calls demanding up to £22,000, spinning a tale that his son was dying of leukaemia and that buying expensive Rolex watches would help. Along with John Ward and Francis Ward, they conned a vulnerable pensioner out of nearly £40,000 through fake gardening jobs, harassment, and the Rolex scam starting in October 2017. The victim bought £38,000 worth of watches.
Admitted conspiracy to defraud and converting criminal property on the first day of trial. Ordered to pay back £37,800 to victim.
Prince Duah

Prince Duah, aged 27, of Penelopy House in London, was arrested in London as part of a proactive drugs investigation involving Hampshire, Metropolitan Police and Surrey officers into a County Line being run from London into Eastleigh. Officers seized approximately £3,000 cash and mobile phones during the arrest.
Convicted after trial. Further 6 months concurrent for possession of counterfeit money.
Michael Ricketts
Being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs *

Michael Ricketts was supplying cocaine and heroin for the Fire county line, which operated between Birmingham and Southampton. He was stopped and searched in Southampton on 22 July 2020, leading to mobile phones being seized. Examination of the phones showed that Ricketts was a trusted lieutenant in the Fire network, having direct contact with the line holder and running the street-level end of the operation.
Previously pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Drugs, paraphernalia and phones seized in connection with the investigation were ordered to be destroyed.

On 8 June 2021, Brady forced entry to a property on Graemar Lane, Sherfield English, by smashing the rear patio doors with a rock found in the garden. He disabled the outside alarm, conducted an untidy search inside the property, and stole jewellery, watches, and cash.
Sentenced after a two-day trial. Caught after DNA was identified on one of the rocks used to gain entry.

Simon Patrick Westwood, aged 46, of Eastleigh exchanged messages, often of a highly sexual nature, with children he believed to be real between January 2021 and October 2021 in the Eastleigh area. He made arrangements and travelled to an agreed location to meet with the child, although the victims were not real. Charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.
Found guilty of numerous offences. Ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

On 18 April, police stopped a vehicle on Atheling Road at 4.52am after witnessing Sonny Horgan acting suspiciously. Officers noted a strong smell of cannabis. Instead of handing over keys, Horgan turned the ignition and drove away, dragging an officer on the door for several metres, causing minor arm injuries. After stopping, Horgan assaulted another officer during a foot pursuit and was detained.
Pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle dangerously, assault by beating of an emergency worker, failing to co-operate with a preliminary breath test, failing to provide specimen for analysis and possession of a Class B drug. Disqualified from driving for three and a half years and required to complete an extended driving test.
Steven Oxborrow
Sexual activity with a child under 13 *

Steven Oxborrow, a local children’s martial arts instructor and children’s entertainer aged 33 of Wilverley Road in Wootton, sexually abused three children on multiple occasions over a seven year period between January 2005 and June 2012 in the Wootton and New Milton areas. One victim came forward at age 12 after inappropriate messages were found on a family computer. Investigation uncovered further victims and indecent images on his computer.
Found guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a child under 13, three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, two counts of making indecent photographs of a child, one count of possession of indecent image of a child and one count of rape of a child under 13. Ordered to serve an additional year on licence, made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restraining orders for life and to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.

On Christmas Day, after finishing a shift as a chef and drinking two bottles of Magnum tonic wine, Thomas Fernandez-Lee had a row with his parents while returning home near Fordingbridge. He struck his father Andrew Stanley-Ward twice in the chest, causing him to fall. Later at home, he slapped his mother, jumped on his father in bed hitting him in the chest, then retrieved a zombie-style knife from his bedroom, waved it around, and cut his father's wrist during a struggle before being restrained until police arrived.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of battery, and possession of an offensive weapon. Ordered to undertake a nine-month alcohol treatment order and 20 rehabilitation activity sessions. Judge Nicholas Rowland commented: 'It is a matter of great disappointment that I cannot make the order I want to make. I very much hope you get the help you need elsewhere. These were serious offences but I am going to suspend the sentence. If you don’t do as you are told, you will be back, but I very much expect that won’t happen.' No previous convictions.

Thomas Amos committed multiple shoplifting offences over a six-week period between 23 November and 6 January: fragrances (£209) from John Lewis West Quay on 23 November; electric toothbrush (£300) from Boots Above Bar Street on 27 November; fragrances (£145) from John Lewis WestQuay on 28 November; gift sets (£98) from Boots Above Bar Street on 28 November; fragrances (£901) from John Lewis West Quay on 30 November; clothing (£842) from John Lewis West Quay on 7 December; clothing (£587) from John Lewis WestQuay on 13 December; fragrances (£407) from John Lewis WestQuay on 16 December; fragrances (£560) from John Lewis West Quay on 21 December; alcohol (£449) from John Lewis West Quay on 24 December; clothing (£1388) from John Lewis WestQuay on 4 January. He also breached a restraining order by entering John Lewis during this period.

Richard Moore, 43, from Newport, was caught in an undercover operation by the 'S.K.I.D Community' after sending explicit messages and naked photos of himself to a decoy posing as a 12-year-old girl named 'India'. He planned to meet the girl at her auntie's house in Southampton on January 6 and was arrested on Portswood Road on that day.
Pleaded guilty. Ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life. 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed.

On 23 February 2021, at around 4.15pm, a man in his 30s was jogging on Vosper Road, Southampton, when a car driven by Rory Marshall and carrying Goodman went past. Goodman shouted racist abuse out the window, including telling the man ‘to go back to his own country’. Marshall followed the man into Victoria Road, stopped the car and he and Goodman assaulted the man, punching and kicking him. The man suffered minor facial injuries and a minor injury to his elbow.

Robert Mackay (41) of Lymington poured diesel from a jerry can over his neighbour’s front door in Shrubbs Avenue on 30 August 2025, following a row the previous evening and an exchange of texts. He attempted to ignite the diesel with a lighter. The diesel leaked under the door causing £3,000 damage to carpets and floorboards. The victim was terrified, fearing he might die in a fire.
Pleaded guilty to criminal damage and threatening to destroy/damage property. Has 64 previous convictions for offences involving drugs, dishonesty, harassment and criminal damage. Was on remand since arrest in September 2025. Judge noted serious distress to victim and that he may soon be released due to time served, with any remaining time on licence.
Robert Wiseman
Attempting to manufacture a weapon *

Police raided Robert Wiseman's home on Raleigh Close, New Milton, on 21 December 2021 following a National Crime Agency investigation. They found firearm components with which he had progressed far towards creating a .22 revolver, plans for making a pistol, ammunition, manuals, and tools relating to weapons. An expert completed the revolver to demonstrate its viability, and a video of it being fired was released. Wiseman told officers everyone should be able to use firearms.
Admitted attempting to manufacture a weapon, possessing a firearm without a certificate, and possessing ammunition without a certificate when prohibited. Early guilty plea. Prior three-year prison sentence in 1997 for possession of a shortened shotgun and lifetime weapons ban. Remorseful. Judge Nigel Peters KC noted major interest in firearms, planning involved, and that this is not the USA. Ordered seized items destroyed and five-year Serious Crime Prevention Order upon release.

On 23 February 2021, at around 4.15pm, a man in his 30s was jogging on Vosper Road, Southampton, when a car driven by Marshall and carrying Ricky Goodman went past. Goodman shouted racist abuse out the window. Marshall followed the man into Victoria Road, stopped the car and he and Goodman assaulted the man, punching and kicking him. The man suffered minor facial injuries and a minor injury to his elbow. After Marshall was arrested, his vehicle was searched and a knuckle-duster was found in the glove box along with a baseball bat from the front passenger footwell.

This resulted in the victim being unable to see his children for two years, suffering severe psychological harm including an overdose attempt, and impacts on his new partner's family.
Pleaded guilty on the first day of her trial to one count of stalking and one of harassment. Previous good character. Recorder Marcus Pilgerstorfer KC ruled her behaviour so serious that only a jail term was appropriate. Indefinite restraining order imposed banning contact with ex-partner or his new partner.

Robert Bezer (38), of Forest Gate Court in Ringwood, sexually assaulted four female colleagues over a four-year period while working at a New Forest petrol station. Offences included speaking inappropriately, giving unwanted gifts, hugging from behind and brushing their breasts, telling one 'I think I touched your boobs', grabbing one by the hips and pulling her onto his lap, kissing victims on the neck, putting hand on thigh, and regular cuddling from behind. Complaints made to management but not acted on soon enough. Victims felt anxious, nervous, uncomfortable, and some traumatised.
Pleaded guilty to four charges of sexual assault of a female. One previous conviction for inciting a female to engage in a sexual act, for which he received a community order. Being assessed by GP for autism. Remorseful. Judge noted offences passed custody threshold but suspended sentence as a close run thing.

Dr Andrew Semple and Samantha Semple-Thomas caused unnecessary suffering to five donkeys (Fire, Sooty, River, Rosie, Ruby) and failed to ensure their needs between January and March 2024 in a field off Hatchet Lane in Beaulieu. RSPCA found donkeys underweight with poor coats, eating mouldy hay, struggling in thick mud, with mud fever and dental ulcers causing painful ulcers. One donkey found dead with missing eye.
From Holbury. Care declined after she suffered back injury and lost her father; husband took over but fed donkeys once a day with no hay.

Tyreece Morgan, aged 26, of Northcote Avenue in Croydon, was arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences as part of a proactive drugs investigation involving Hampshire, Metropolitan Police and Surrey officers into a County Line being run from London into Eastleigh. Officers seized approximately £3,000 cash and mobile phones during the arrest.

Making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child *

On 30 July 2021, officers arrested McDowall at his home address in Shirley Road, Southampton and seized two laptops and a hard drive. Forensic examinations revealed 47,517 indecent images stored across these devices from March 2012 to July 2021, including 9,294 Category A images depicting babies, toddlers and teenagers being abused, and a handful depicting acts of bestiality. In his police interview, McDowall admitted viewing indecent images online for 20 years and described himself as a ‘lurker’.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child, possessing a prohibited image of a child and possessing extreme pornographic images portraying sexual acts on an animal. Ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years. Ordered to comply with Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
