He sent a picture of his genitals to 'Jenny' and a video of himself committing a sex act to 'Olive', pursuing sexual engagement with the supposed child. Arrested in July 2024, his devices contained indecent images of children aged 1-8 (categories A-C) and extreme pornographic images. The offences occurred during a difficult period involving family deaths and workplace stress, leading to isolation and online 'rabbit holes'.
Pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children and extreme pornographic images, and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. He breached bail conditions by entering her home, leading to arrest. His actions caused severe distress, forcing Maureen to live at a secret address.
Pleaded guilty to one count of stalking causing serious harm or distress. Ordered to complete 12 hours of rehabilitation activity and a five-year restraining order. Of previous good character, suffering from prostate cancer, possible vascular dementia, and adjustment disorder.

On the night of 26 December 2024, a 13-year-old girl was walking along St. Mary Street in Southampton when she encountered Damian Andre Martin. He raped and sexually assaulted her shortly after they met, then took her to an address on Chapel Road where further abuse occurred. The incident was reported to police the following day. Martin pleaded guilty at Southampton Crown Court to rape, sexual assault, two counts of assault by penetration, assault by beating, and taking a child so as to keep her from a person having lawful control.
Pleaded guilty. Judge described the acts as 'dreadful' and noted he was not safe around young vulnerable children. Also received a five-year extended licence period, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and lifetime registration on the Sex Offender's Register.

Ashley Scott Hudson, 30, was convicted of multiple counts of rape and attempted rape against a woman in her 20s. The offences occurred at addresses in Eastleigh and Southampton between August 2019 and October 2021. Hudson raped the victim on six separate occasions and attempted to rape her once, ignoring her repeated refusals. The victim reported the assaults in November 2021; Hudson was arrested and denied all allegations. A trial at Southampton Crown Court began on 14 January 2025, and on 21 January 2025, the jury found him guilty of six counts of rape and one count of attempted rape. He was sentenced on 25 April 2025.
Also received an additional five years on extended licence, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and an indefinite restraining order. Pleaded not guilty; convicted after trial.
Finley Lintott-Warrillow

In the early hours of Sunday 5 March 2023, Finley Lintott-Warrillow was driving his friends home in a black Vauxhall Corsa after going out for food in Portswood, Southampton. CCTV footage showed the Corsa being driven at approximately 86.95mph on Middle Road, a 30mph residential road with parked cars on both sides. Lintott-Warrillow lost control, crashed into a wall, and the car was launched at least 15 metres through the air after the initial impact. Passenger 18-year-old Brandon Cousens was pronounced dead at the scene. Lintott-Warrillow and another passenger survived with serious injuries.
Pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. Also disqualified from driving.

Kelly Horton allowed her Staffordshire bull terrier-cross, Diesel, to be dangerously out of control at her home in Mortimer Close, Totton, last July. A friend's two-year-old child, familiar with the dog, was bitten twice to the face causing serious injuries requiring surgical treatment while Horton cooked pizza for guests. The dog was food-fixated due to prior colon surgery and poor training.
Previously admitted the offence. Banned from keeping dogs for five years. Judge noted lack of safety measures despite knowing the dog's condition and behaviour.
Jayden Jack Robert Smith

Jayden Jack Robert Smith, a 19-year-old from Southampton, committed offences in July 2024. On 3 July 2024, he followed a child under 13 in his car to a wooded area in Botley, isolating the victim before asking him to expose himself, leading to the charge of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. He also admitted two counts of sexual communications with a child, sending explicit messages to a second boy from another county and inciting him to perform a sexual act. Smith pleaded guilty at Southampton Crown Court on 5 February 2025 and was remanded in custody. Sentenced on 11 April 2025, he received a custodial term of two years and nine months.
Pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two counts of sexual communications with a child. Two other charges (attempt to cause/incite non-penetrative sexual activity, attempt kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence) were dropped. Darren Andrew Halliwell, 53, of Blackwater Drive, Totton, admitted possessing indecent images of children found on his iPhone 8 between 8 January and 13 July 2022. The images comprised six Category A, 22 Category B and 28 Category C, depicting children aged 3 to 12. He admitted during police interview to a sexual attraction to children. The images had been received unsolicited via online chat and kept for around 36 hours. Prior to his arrest, he had sought professional help. He had a previous conviction for similar offences in 2011.
Admitted to possession. Second conviction for similar offences; had previously received a three-year community order in 2011 for possessing over 5,000 child abuse images. In mitigation, the court heard he had sought professional rehabilitation before arrest, had been abused as a child, and a former partner's behaviour had been a trigger. Judge Recorder Don Tait warned him, 'You must realise, if you don't realise already, that you won't be able to argue this again.'

Between January and March 2020, Stephen Biles communicated online and by phone with an undercover police officer posing as an adult, discussing meeting to abuse the officer's fictional 9-year-old niece at a hotel. Arrested on 1 April 2020 at his home in Riverside, Ringwood. Devices seized contained 52 Category C indecent images of children.
Pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children; found guilty at trial of two counts of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence. Made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. Judge remarked on prolonged exchange of messages and that Biles couldn’t let the prospect of meeting a child go.

Ashik Ali, 50, of West View House in Hyde Gate, Hyde, stole four packets of perfume from John Lewis in Southampton on May 23 and a skin care gift set the next day, with the items totalling £635 in value. He was caught, pleaded guilty to the offences, and has a history of previous convictions.
Pleaded guilty on September 10. Numerous previous convictions were cited, and it was concluded that the offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified.
Luke Ross Cromar

From summer 2022, Luke Ross Cromar, 30, of Bramley Crescent, Southampton, subjected a woman in her 30s to mental and physical abuse, monitoring her whereabouts via a smart speaker in her home, assaulting and threatening her, causing fear of violence, and forcing her to have sex under threat of violence and assault. Police called by victim in January 2024. Investigation by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Western Operation Amberstone team led to arrest and charges.
Pleaded not guilty to vaginal rape, oral rape, assault by penetration and coercive and controlling behaviour but found guilty by jury following trial. Eight years for the charges plus an additional year for breaching an existing suspended sentence.

Tristan Clamp committed a series of sexual offences against women and girls over more than ten years, between January 2010 and August 2021. Offences included taking and possessing indecent photographs and pseudo-photographs of children, voyeurism, operating equipment beneath the clothing of another person without their consent, and possession of a paedophile manual, which the judge called an 'abominable document'. The victim provided a personal statement detailing severe psychological harm.
Judge described Clamp as a 'deceitful and deviant offender', doubting genuineness of remorse. Extended licence period of 7.5 years, restraining orders, and indefinite sexual harm prevention order also imposed.

On 13 June 2024, at around 9.30pm, police stopped a Skoda Rapid driven southbound on the A34 towards Winchester by Aiden Hopkins. A search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act revealed quantities of suspected Class A drugs in the sunglasses holder and behind the handbrake. Police seized his mobile phone. A search of his home in Howe Road, Gosport, uncovered further Class A drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a dismantled 12 gauge shotgun in a wardrobe. Analysis of phone messages indicated involvement in drug supply.
Entered guilty pleas to all charges. Detective Sergeant Lisa Robins highlighted the priority of tackling drugs supply linked to violence and anti-social behaviour.
