Callum Foster met the victim in Bath for a test drive of a Jaguar XF that was advertised for sale. He suggested travelling to Devizes to collect money, then took the victim to Salisbury Plain, where he threatened him with what appeared to be a gun, claiming he was sent to kill him. Foster drove the victim to a train station, left him there, and stole the car. He was located and arrested at Leigh Delamere services off the M4 the following day.
Pleaded guilty to robbery and driving a vehicle without a licence or insurance. Detective Sergeant Toni Nugent commented that it was a distressing incident where the victim feared violence.

James Nash, 40, of Marlborough, controlled his ex-partner between October 1, 2022, and February 1, 2024, by repeatedly checking her phone, calling her obsessively at work, turning up unannounced at her workplace, demanding proof of her whereabouts and companions, accusing her of cheating, forcing her to enable live location sharing on her phone, dictating who she could and couldn’t speak to, and taking control of the key to her property. This behaviour left her feeling frightened, helpless, and trapped, impacting her confidence and daily life, and she required counselling as a result.
Pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour. Required to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, attend up to 26 sessions in a rehabilitation programme, and subject to a restraining order for five years. The judge described the behaviour as serious, substantial abuse.

Daniel Fox, 37, of Hyde Gate, Winchester, stole more than £1,000 worth of steak from Waitrose in Stockbridge Road, Weeke on August 13, 2024, and £239 worth of fragrances from Boots in Winchester High Street on October 1, 2024, as part of six counts of shoplifting committed between July and November 2024 to fund his drug addiction. He was arrested and pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court before being sentenced at Winchester Crown Court.
Pleaded guilty to six counts of shoplifting to fund a drug addiction. Judge Christopher Parker KC was lenient due to the early plea. If probation is breached, imprisonment will be imposed.
