Pleaded guilty to sexual assault and four counts of rape of a child under 13. The judge used discretion to add seven years on licence.
Sajid Hussain

Sajid Hussain, a former taxi driver, was caught speeding twice on December 17 and 19, 2022, in the Burnley area. To avoid penalty points on his driving licence, which could have affected his job, he paid £600 to someone to falsify details on forms and produce fake insurance documents, claiming that a non-existent person was the driver. He was caught in his deception and charged with perverting the course of justice.
Pleaded guilty to the offence. Sgt Chris Birchall of Lancashire Constabulary's Safer Roads Unit commented that Hussain thought he could get away with perverting the course of justice and hoped the custodial sentence would allow him to reflect on his actions.
