Once inside, the masked and gloved thief smashed the till before attempting to hide in the store room. He was caught on CCTV and arrested by police officers on routine patrol who noticed something wasn’t quite right.
Pleaded guilty to burglary other than a dwelling and criminal damage to the value of £700.

Stephen Bosanko, aged 45, of no fixed address, smashed a window to gain entry into TG Jones on Fishergate in Preston, stealing cash from the tills. Earlier the same evening, he attempted to force entry into Plugs and Taps on Lune Street using a brick, where he stole the till containing around £1,000 and 15 bottles of alcohol. On January 13, he attempted to force entry into Just Padel on Corporation Street using a brick. He was arrested at the scene of the Just Padel incident and found in possession of receipts and property from the Plugs and Taps burglary.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary other than dwelling and two counts of attempted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.

Later that day, when a police officer and a PCSO attempted to arrest him on Market Street, he dragged the officer against a shop window causing her to fall, and lunged towards the PCSO pushing him in the chest before being arrested.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker. Given a community behaviour order banning him from Lancaster city centre for two years. Ordered to pay a surcharge of £154.
