Kieran Heaton, 29, of no fixed address, became aggressive at a social gathering and was asked to leave a property after threatening another woman. He later returned to the victim's home in Bakersfield, Nottingham, on July 15, 2025, where he brandished a pellet-firing Airsoft gun that resembled a real pistol, pointing it at the woman's head and threatening her, causing her and her children to fear for their lives. He was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine at the time. The weapon was recovered from the victim's garden.
Pleaded guilty to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Also admitted to breaching a non-molestation order. Handed a restraining order forbidding any further contact with his victim.

Jonathan Thorpe, 63, of Townsend Way, Metheringham, Lincolnshire, abused his position as power of attorney for a vulnerable victim by making unauthorised transfers from her bank account to his own while living in Cyprus. Between April 2021 and March 2022, he transferred a total of £15,414 to support his day-to-day living expenses. The victim only recalled agreeing to one loan of £4,000. Thorpe flew to the UK in December 2022 for a voluntary interview with detectives after the carer raised the alarm. Despite admitting to receiving the money, he claimed all payments were pre-agreed.
Pleaded guilty to ten counts of fraud by abuse of position. Judge comments via DC Akil Kapasi highlighted abuse of trust as power of attorney.
