Making indecent images of children *
Sentence
6 months imprisonment, suspended for 2 years
Steven Finall, a 45-year-old chef from Warrington, was discovered with 190 indecent images of children on his electronic devices after police executed a search warrant at his home on 13 January. The images included severe category A material, such as one depicting the rape of a two-year-old child. He also possessed cocaine. Most of the images were in cache files, indicating they had been deleted. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court.
Pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possessing indecent images of children, and one count of possession of cocaine. No previous convictions, good prospects of rehabilitation. Judge Recorder Mark Ainsworth remarked that behind each image is a child being abused.
