Porter waited around the corner in his Nissan Note and drove them away after the shooting, returning to Leicester with Quailey-Dashper and Gordon. His involvement stemmed from a clash between rival organised crime groups, one headed by Gordon (Rico OCG) involved in serious drug trafficking. Porter received £10-15 per trip as 'pocket money' and claimed unawareness of the murder plot, having lived a blameless life prior but fell into involvement after his wife's death, job loss, and homelessness.

In 2023, after she applied to the Child Maintenance Service naming him as the father, he refused a DNA test until a Deduction of Earnings Order was issued. He conspired with his friend Phillip Jones to defraud by having Jones provide a DNA sample at a clinic in Llandaff, Cardiff, pretending to be Lloyd. The sample was altered with a photo to resemble Jones. This led to a negative test result, but an investigation revealed the fraud through telecommunications and location data. The potential loss to the Child Maintenance Service and victims was £12,426.

On the day of the incident, he approached her despite her repeated refusals of 'No', manhandled and pinned her down, pulled down her leggings and underwear, forcibly performed oral sex on her, and then raped her with his penis until he ejaculated. He then walked off, telling her 'Between us yeah?'. The victim later confided in friends who contacted the police. Bailey was convicted of rape and assault by penetration following a trial.

He sent increasingly sexualised messages, telling her he loved her, wanted her to be his girlfriend, would teach her how to masturbate, suggested they run away together and share a hotel room, and stated that sex is for everyone, not just adults. He also possessed 13 prohibited images of a child and 94 extreme pornographic images depicting bestiality.
Pleaded guilty. No previous convictions. Has a learning disability due to brain injury. Judge considered four-year delay in case. Must register as a sex offender for five years and subject to a five-year sexual harm prevention order. Ordered to pay £600 in costs and £114 victim surcharge.

Alireza Askari murdered his estranged wife Paria Veisi, 37, by stabbing her four times and slashing her twice in the neck and upper chest in the conservatory of his home on Foster Drive, Penylan, Cardiff, on April 11, 2025. He buried her body in a makeshift grave in the back garden under compost, soil, patio slabs, and newly planted flowers purchased from B&Q. Askari covered up the crime by cleaning the scene with bleach and dusters. He was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping after returning from Birmingham where he bought caustic soda to destroy the remains. The body was discovered on April 15, 2025, after Ms Veisi was reported missing.
Initially pleaded guilty to manslaughter and preventing a lawful and decent burial, later admitted to murder. Had a girlfriend in Iran and planned to destroy the victim's remains using caustic soda.
Maryam Delavary

When police visited the home during the missing person investigation, she misled them by claiming Ms Veisi had found a boyfriend in Iran.
Pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice. Travelled from London to Cardiff to assist her nephew in cleaning the crime scene and burying the body. Told nephew to 'shut up' when police arrived and lied to officers about the victim's whereabouts.

On November 21, 2025, Gavin Press, aged 36 from Caerphilly, assaulted his former partner Jessica Doudge after an argument over a drug debt. He called her a 'fat whore', held a golden flip knife to her face, smashed furniture, ripped out drawers, threatened to snap her dog's neck and booted the dog, pushed her into the sink causing her to hit her head, and possessed a machete. Ms Doudge, petrified, called her mother Faye Davies who transferred £30 to Press to placate him; he demanded another £30. Ms Doudge escaped to a neighbour's house, leading to police involvement. Press was convicted at Newport Magistrates' Court on January 14, 2026, and sentenced on appeal at Cardiff Crown Court.
Pleaded not guilty but convicted after trial. Appeal unsuccessful except for threats to cause criminal damage count which was overturned. Subject to a five-year restraining order preventing approach to victim Jessica Doudge. Has 153 previous convictions for 115 offences, including three against a person.

Abdirahman Osman, 44, approached a group of young girls in Roath Park in Cardiff on July 13, 2025, asking them how old they were, trying to hug one, calling them 'sweeties', and saying he wanted to be one of their boyfriends. Later that day, he called one of the 14-year-old girls over to his home nearby on Pen y Wain Road, Roath, and asked her to perform oral sex on him, leaving her shocked and scared. The girl informed her friends, and police were called. Osman was arrested and admitted asking for a 'blowjob' but denied touching anyone. He was convicted of attempting to engage/incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
Subject to a sex offender notification requirement for 10 years. Has previous convictions for offences including battery and robbery. Swore at the judge and stormed out of the sentencing hearing.

This followed prior convictions for drug supply in 2021 (suspended sentence) and 2022 (4.5 years imprisonment), where he was drawn into crime by his father Lyn Hall to pay off debts.

Victims David Billings and Douglas Thomas, walking home, intervened out of concern for the woman's safety, with Mr Billings telling him it was no way to speak to a woman. Tristan threatened them, saying 'You don't know who you're messing with' and mentioning his family name. He pushed Mr Billings towards a wall, blocked their path, circled them aggressively, and shouted threats including 'I'm the f****** psycho from Bryn Farm.' After his father Jason arrived, Tristan kicked and punched Mr Billings while he was unconscious on the floor. The incident was captured on CCTV.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. No previous convictions. Was 18 at the time of the offence. Has not consumed alcohol since and is undertaking an apprenticeship while studying in college; embarrassed and ashamed. Judge Vanessa Francis described the actions as shocking, immature, utterly cowardly, aggressive, and an appalling period of drunken street violence.

On July 23, 2025, just after 1am, in the Rhymney area of Cardiff, Marcin Kluska, aged 47, engaged in a heated argument with his housemate after antagonising him by playing the guitar and using a speaker despite requests to keep noise down. During the altercation, while both were heavily intoxicated, Kluska bit off part of the victim's left ear (2cm of cartilage detached), struck him over the head with the guitar causing a wound, and pressed the victim's eyes. The victim was found unconscious and covered in blood outside the flat, requiring intensive care at University Hospital of Wales. He suffered swelling to both eye sockets, bruises, and grazes. Kluska attempted to cover his tracks by showering and using water and soap to clean blood from the scene. He claimed self-defence, alleging a knife attack, but had only minor reddening injuries.
Denied the offence but found guilty by unanimous jury verdict on January 26. Two prior convictions for battery (2013) and criminal damage. Both parties heavily intoxicated. Restraining order imposed for 5 years preventing contact with victim. Judge noted grave injury causing irreversible loss of part of victim's ear and significant mitigation due to limited prior convictions for less serious offences.

Jason punched Mr Billings to the ground, causing unconsciousness, then punched Mr Thomas to the ground, also causing unconsciousness. He pulled both victims onto the pavement before driving off. Mr Billings suffered a fractured eye socket, bruising to forehead and temple; Mr Thomas suffered a broken nose and bruising to both eye sockets. The incident was captured on CCTV.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Has 17 previous convictions, including five offences of violence. Judge noted the offence was shocking, immature, and cowardly. Despite the raid, she switched to a second phone and persisted in dealing until her arrest on January 16, 2026, near Culverhouse Cross, where police found £610 in cash, wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, and the second drugs line phone. She was already subject to a suspended prison sentence and community order at the time. Hatim had relapsed into drug use and fallen into debt, leading her to sell drugs under pressure. Adam Wiggins, a 35-year-old military veteran from Queen Street, Pentre, assaulted his ex-partner at her home on August 16, 2025, in breach of his bail conditions prohibiting contact. The relationship had deteriorated after starting well. During an argument, Wiggins accessed her phone, accused her of seeing another man, punched her in the face causing her head to hit a cupboard door, repeatedly punched her head and face until she fell, and kicked her while she protected herself with her arms. He wore rings that caused lacerations. Wiggins then ran off after she pleaded him to stop. He phoned Gwent Police to admit the assault and breach but refused to identify the victim. Police found her with multiple injuries including 5-6cm and 3cm head wounds, laceration to finger, jaw and rib tenderness, and bruises. She was hospitalized overnight. The victim reported feeling emotionally drained and traumatized, affecting her dog and family. Wiggins admitted the assault upon arrest.
Pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm without intent. Has six prior convictions including three for battery of other partners. Judge noted actions were persistent and sustained, and time on remand equivalent to 12-month sentence.
