The van struck her, trapping her under the wheel, causing multiple fractures, internal bleeding, and requiring almost two weeks in hospital. She has suffered ongoing struggles from the injuries.

The drugs had a black market value of over £1m, and he made nearly £60,000 from the supply. He ordered excessive amounts under pressure from a pharmacy employee linked to a criminal gang and threats from three men. He altered dispensing records, pretended to be his mother in communications with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), leading to her temporary arrest despite her innocence. The scheme was uncovered through investigations by the MHRA, GPhC, and police following an unannounced inspection in February 2018, resulting in his arrest.
Confessed to five charges of supplying controlled drugs. Judge Heidi Kubik noted the seriousness of the offences, the diversion of 29,000 packs of Class C drugs to the black market with a street value of £1,052,000, and the impact on his mother's business and reputation.

His fingerprints were on the drugs packaging and cannabis press. He fled to Dublin on July 9, 2007, evading arrest for nearly a decade until detained near his home in Varna, Bulgaria, on August 2, 2016, following a European Arrest Warrant.

He accessed an online service run by international cyber criminals to purchase Denial of Service (DoS) programmes and performed 284 DoS attacks, disrupting operations and causing significant financial and reputational harm. He also accessed sensitive business databases. The offences were investigated by the West Midlands Regional Cyber Crime Unit, leading to his arrest.
Pleaded guilty to a number of offences. CPS prosecutor Hannah Sidaway commented on the use of company position to create backdoor access and commit cyber-attacks for personal grudges, noting risks to sales, livelihoods, and data security, with mitigation costs over £41,000 to the Innovation Centre.

On August 16, 2015, at around 9am, Harley Davidson Heyes stole Bishop David Charmbury's Mazda CX5 sports car as he opened the church gates in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull. Mr Charmbury was knocked to the ground and dragged underneath the car, suffering a head injury, fractured pelvis requiring surgery, fractured knee cap, punctured lung, and several broken ribs. The Bishop was placed in an induced coma and required four weeks of hospital treatment, continuing to recover at home. The car was dumped more than a mile away in a secluded area, where Heyes stole an iPad, iPhone, and iPod from it before taking a taxi home to Bluebell Drive, Chelmsley Wood, where he was arrested. Stolen property was found in communal bins.
Pleaded guilty to robbery. Described as 'brutally reckless' by police; showed no remorse during interview despite claiming remorse in court.

Tony James, aged 62 from Ibstock Close, Winyates, Redditch, groomed and abused a girl aged four to ten over five years in the 1980s and 90s at an address in Balsall Heath, Birmingham. He repeatedly sexually assaulted her on a whim, took her to brothels while having sex with prostitutes, forced her to play indecent games, ducked her under water as punishment for bed-wetting, and made her touch him inappropriately. He also physically and sexually assaulted another girl and boy aged six to eight at a flat in Turves Green, Birmingham, including indecent assaults after drinking sessions and beatings with a stick. Arrested in October 2012 and charged with 19 counts of indecency with a child, child cruelty, indecent assault, and rape.
Found guilty of all 19 counts after denying allegations. No remorse shown. Described by investigating officer as one of the most cold-hearted offenders.

Dayo Cromwell, a 35-year-old car trader, was arrested in February 2014 after attempting to flee from police while driving a blue Citroen through Bulkington, Warwickshire. He was detained in a nearby garden and found in possession of crack cocaine worth £27,000. A search of his flat on Baldwin Croft, Bell Green, uncovered a large haul of Class A drugs including heroin and cocaine with a street value exceeding £992,000, along with cutting agent and a press machine for preparing deals. Additionally, a loaded MAC 10 machine gun with 23 live rounds and a further 42 bullets were recovered. The drugs were believed to be destined for sale on the streets of Coventry.
Pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. DCI Simon Wallis commented that the sentence rightly reflects his operation as a top level criminal.

Jack Bromell, aged 20, from Richards Close, Kenilworth, was part of an organised crime group from Warwickshire investigated under Operation Toulouse by Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit. The group was involved in the criminal activity of regional and national distribution of multi-kilo amounts of cocaine and amphetamine, motivated by greed and preying on vulnerable community members. The covert investigation started in July 2012 and led to arrests in July 2013. Authorities seized 18.25 kilos of amphetamine, 12.28 kilos of cocaine, 5 kilos of ketamine, 412 diazepam tablets, and 342g of cannabis resin with a combined street value of approximately £5.25 million, along with a firearm and £100,000 in cash.

Jason O'Brien beat his friend Michael Carrielies to death on November 28, 2013, at Meadow House on Upper Spon Street following a city centre drinking session. O'Brien asked a local shopkeeper to call an ambulance after the incident. Police arrested him at the scene, and a post-mortem revealed Mr Carrielies died from multiple injuries.
Denied murder but was convicted by a jury. Detective Inspector Ian Iliffe commented on the brutality of the killing and hoped the verdict brings closure to the family.

The plot failed, but surveillance and evidence led to his conviction.

Scott Melville broke into the Gordon Street home of 91-year-old army veteran Sydney Pavier on September 16, 2013, kicking in the door and ransacking the house. He battered the partially-sighted pensioner, leaving him badly beaten and unconscious on his bed. Mr Pavier battled for six weeks and died on October 28, 2013, at Warwick Hospital as a result of his injuries.
Found guilty of murder after a two-week trial. Previously pleaded guilty to robbery involving the theft of a mobile phone on September 14 and to burglary at the Next Stop newsagents in Victoria Terrace on September 16. Charged with burglary and causing grievous bodily harm before the victim's death.
