Paul Oaks, 37, of Brook Street, Woodsetton, Dudley, pestered his mother Lisa Green at her home in Rowley Regis for money on multiple occasions between November 20 and December 5, 2025. He repeatedly turned up at the property and harassed her for almost a fortnight.
Admitted harassment without violence. Handed a restraining order prohibiting him from asking his mother for money, expiring on January 19, 2028. Allowed to visit her property but must leave when asked. Separate charge of controlling or coercive behaviour dismissed due to no evidence from prosecution.

He walked past tills even when challenged by staff and was identified through good CCTV footage in the stores. He was arrested after a police social media appeal and a public tip.
Admitted to 29 thefts from shops in Rowley Regis and Halesowen, causing frustration and misery to businesses and staff. He showed complete disregard for employees and was linked to the crimes via CCTV. PC Phillip Kingsley noted that the sentence reflects his actions.

On 19th November 1993, a statutory nuisance existed at 17 Hildicks Crescent, Goscote, Walsall, a dwelling occupied by tenant Dorothy Davenport. The property suffered from dampness and disrepair, including rising damp in ground floor areas, condensation and mould growth at first floor level, loose wall plaster, ill-fitting doors, springing floors, and inadequate moisture barriers. The nuisance was prejudicial to health and attributable to the defendant as owner under Section 82 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Pleaded guilty to statutory nuisance under Section 79(1)(a) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. No financial penalty or compensation order imposed by the Magistrates Court, as the court deemed the damages not easily quantifiable and better suited for the County Court.
