He had been in the UK seeking asylum since December 2024 and hadn't been in the country long before the incident. He was receiving £49 per week and had previously attacked staff in a drunken rage in April 2024, including headbutting one victim three times. The attack involved aggression towards victims providing a public service, with one kick causing pain. Mohammed accepted there was an altercation as he sought help to see a doctor. He has been learning English at college and appeared via video link from Preston Prison.
Found guilty of two counts of assault by beating. Ordered to pay £400 in court costs, £150 compensation to one victim, and £100 to the other, at £50 per month. Chairman Richard Lehman noted the attack was persistent and with considerable force against security guards doing their jobs.

The combined value of the stolen goods was estimated to be over £1,000.
