He sent sexual messages, asked about her sexual experiences, requested that she watch him masturbate on camera, and proceeded to do so during a video call, despite her mentioning she had homework. Police later seized his devices and found a small number of indecent images of children.
Pled guilty to the charges. Judge James Adkin stated he did not consider Collins to be an imminent risk of committing a sexual offence against a child.

Scott Ford, 22, from Green Lane in Redruth, used Snapchat to contact who he believed was a 12-year-old girl named Hannah in February 2025. He initiated sexual conversations immediately after adding her via the 'quick add' function, asking for nude photos, inquiring if she was a virgin, and encouraging her to engage in sexual activity such as penetrating herself. He was aware of her stated age throughout. In reality, Hannah was an undercover police officer, and Ford was arrested at his home shortly after. He provided no comment during his interview.
Pleaded guilty to two charges. Barrister argued against a custodial sentence due to good education, previously good character, and employment. Judge Simon Carr stated that a custodial sentence was suitable, and Ford will serve 50 per cent before being eligible for release. He will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
