Adam Such, of Prislow Fields, Falmouth, raped a girl under 13 and engaged in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13 in May 2021. He was also charged with sexual assault of a child under 13 and sexual exploitation of a child under 13 by involvement in pornography on May 9, 2021. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to three charges of possession of an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child between April 29 and May 28, 2021.
Pleaded not guilty at magistrates court but later changed plea to guilty. Victim impact statement described devastating effect on family. Made subject of a sexual harm prevention order, must sign sex offender register and pay victim surcharge.

Adam Littlejohns and his brother Kevin attacked their brother Shane at his home in Illogan in January 2024. The trouble started after Shane reminded the younger two that they were staying at his house - not a family home - with his partner and child. Kevin began kicking and punching Shane before Adam joined in. Adam then grabbed a kitchen knife and injured the hand of Shane's partner before the knife broke. Both attackers fled the house and went to their sister's home where they were arrested.
Admitted affray and possessing a bladed article. In breach of a suspended sentence, deployed a weapon, has previous convictions. Not the instigator but was in an abyss of alcohol use and has since reduced his consumption. Three-year restraining order imposed. Judge warned it is his last chance.

An offence of aggravated vehicle taking, to which she had pleaded not guilty, was discharged.

Craig Hutton operated the 'Skip It' business without environmental permits, depositing and storing controlled waste on land at Mawla, Porthtowan, and on land adjacent to a Western Power Distribution sub-station at Penwinnick Road near St Agnes. He continued operating after being interviewed under caution by Environment Agency officers. The sites could have caused environmental harm, especially near the electricity sub-station. A bund was erected at Mawla to shield it from public view.
Pleaded guilty in March 2020. Proceeds of Crime confiscation order of £198,000 awarded on 28 October 2022. Previous conviction for similar offence in 2001. Judge Carr noted he gained competitive advantage, ignored warnings.

Connor Smith, 25, from Bethan Drive in Wadebridge, attacked his neighbour three times across the face with a knife on July 9 following a drunken confrontation. The incident began when Smith tried to goad neighbours into a fight outside a pub, later returned to damage their car with a concrete block, and then slashed the victim with a large knife after fetching it from home. The victim suffered wounds perilously close to his eye, two epileptic seizures, and permanent facial scars. Smith fled and disposed of the knife near a police station.
Pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage, and threatening with a blade. Defence cited alcohol and drug problems; judge noted the deliberate use of a knife.

Matthew Ian Townsend, a 44-year-old school technician from Penzance, Cornwall, swapped more than 18,000 messages, naked pictures and explicit videos with an underage pupil using fake Facebook accounts. He incited the girl to perform sexual acts, bought her clothing to wear in photographs and videos, and sexually touched her. He was discovered after another pupil saw him kissing the girl at school.
Pleaded guilty to inciting a girl aged under 16 to perform sexual acts, two charges of intentionally sexually touching the girl, performing a sex act in front of the girl, and possessing 240 indecent pictures and 16 videos of a child. Sentenced to three concurrent 8-month terms for other offences. Placed on Sex Offenders' Register for life and indefinite sexual harm prevention order imposed.

Martyn Foster, formerly of Liskeard but most recently of Saltash, Cornwall, sexually assaulted two young girls under 13, leaving them with psychological trauma including bed wetting requiring medication, avoidance of dance and swimming lessons, and showering with underwear on. One victim spoke out immediately. Allegations that Foster threatened the victims' families. He continues to maintain his innocence.
Convicted at trial of two sexual assaults of a girl under 13, despite denying the offences. Made subject of a sexual harm prevention order and must sign the sex offenders register for life. Judge Simon Carr noted the victims and families may take a lifetime to recover.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon, a metal pole, in a public place at Lower Market Street, Penryn and to assaulting a man and a woman occasioning them actual bodily harm.

MARC TUFT, 21, of Beacon Park, Boyton, Launceston pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer at Menacuddle Lane, St Austell on 15 August occasioning him actual bodily harm. He was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years because of the seriousness of the offence. He bit the police officer’s arm causing permanent scarring and there were two other offences with uncontrollable kicking, spitting and an attempted headbutt which resulted in forceable restraint. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer at Wilson Way, Par on 6 February.
Must have treatment for alcohol use, pay the officers £300 compensation and £85 costs.

Possession of indecent images of children *

18-month prison sentence suspended for two years, 100 hours unpaid work
Lee Lewitt, of Summercourt, Cornwall, amassed nearly 10,000 indecent images of children between November 2018 and May 2020, including 2,721 Category A (most serious, showing rape of infants as young as 12 months), 1,456 Category B, 3,529 Category C images, and 10 extreme pornographic images of humans having sex with animals. Images were stored on an iPhone and cloud storage device. Police searched his home following intelligence and seized devices.
Admitted three charges of possession of indecent images of children and possession of 10 extreme pornographic images. Paramedic and ex-RAF serviceman treated for PTSD. Judge Simon Carr highlighted the harm caused by such offenders and suspended the sentence due to good character, remorse, and rehabilitation prospects. Subject to a sexual harm prevention order and ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol use, curfew between 7pm and 7am daily until 25 October 2025, and made subject to a five-year sexual harm prevention order limiting internet access and contact with children.

She also pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in Penzance on 4 November, stealing clothing from a shop in Reading on 9 February and a bag containing an iPad and iPhone from the Post Office in East Street, Newquay on 19 February.

He befriended one victim after she moved to Falmouth to study, isolating her and repeatedly assaulting her in locations including public toilets and a children's treehouse in Kimberly Park. He then targeted another woman he met through college, claiming homelessness to stay in her home, and raped her despite refusals while her parents slept upstairs. Both victims described long-term devastating impacts.
Found guilty of five counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault. Will serve 15 years including three on extended licence and be on the sex offenders' register for life. Judge Simon Carr noted control, manipulation, humiliation and degradation in actions; first time showing remorse. Suffers from gender dysphoria.
