Anthony Plummer abused four girls aged between 9 and 16 across several years, with offences spanning from 1978 to 2009. In 2019, one victim contacted police, prompting three others to come forward, leading to a thorough investigation, Plummer's arrest, and charges. He was convicted of two counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, two counts of causing/inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, three counts of assault by penetration, two counts of sexual assault, and two counts of indecent assault.

Aubin Hutchinson was part of a drugs network operating between Croydon and Havant and Waterlooville known as ‘God’, active since November 2018. On 12 May 2020, warrants were executed at his home address in Rigby Close, Croydon, and a barber shop owned by the brothers in Beluah Road, Croydon. Officers seized a mobile phone used to sell drugs, £17,000 in cash, a Green Lamborghini Spyder Gallardo convertible car worth approximately £100,000 and a White Mercedes A-Class.
Previously found guilty of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

These offences took place over a two-year period. He also sent her abusive messages and later messaged her asking her to retract her statement to police.
Found guilty following a trial. Handed a restraining order and placed on the sex offender register indefinitely.

Fahad Abbas, 39, of Haslemere Road, Southsea, and Benjamin Coates, 38, of Abrams Way, Havant, gained entry to a flat on Twyford Avenue, Portsmouth, between 7.35pm and 8.50pm on Monday 1 November, stealing jewellery worth approximately £2000, £300 in cash and a folding knife.
Previously charged with burglary, remanded into custody. Footwear marks at the scene matched trainers recovered from Coates on arrest. Identified from CCTV footage.

In the early hours of Sunday 23 August last year, 54-year-old Bryan Searle attended a party at an address in the Portsmouth area. Searle, who was drunk at the time, got into a hot tub at the party and sexually assaulted two women. The incident was reported to police later that morning and Searle was arrested the same day.
Admitted two counts of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration.

Richard Baker, 50, of Smythe Road, Southampton, sent messages between 4 and 18 January to who he believed was a 14-year-old girl on a messaging app, initially posing as a parental figure giving advice, then sending pornographic images found online and arranging to meet in Fareham for sex. He arrived at the location with a camcorder and was arrested. He later confessed. He also pleaded guilty to four counts of indecent assault on a girl aged 13 to 15 when he was in his early twenties.
Pleaded guilty on 14 February to arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, attempting to cause a child to watch an image of sexual activity, and four counts of indecent assault against a girl aged 13 to 15. Placed on sex offenders register for life and subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Previously given a restraining order against two teenage girls.

Paul Anderson, 49, from Croydon, committed burglaries in Gosport between August and October including: jewellery from a flat on The Anchorage (September 26-27), clothes from a house on Peel Road (October 24), jewellery from a home on Monckton Road (October 29), Dimensions Hairdressers on North Cross Street (October 1), Fox and Sons Estate Agents on High Street (October 14), homes on Molesworth Road, Rectory Close, Green Road, Grove Avenue, Elson Lane, St Thomas’ Road, Blake Road, and Peel Road, and theft from a boat at Gosport Marina (August 19). He also faced charges for three burglaries in London.
Pled guilty to three burglaries. Court took into account ten more break-ins and a theft in Gosport.
Samuel Tshimbalanga

Samuel Tshimbalanga, of Australia Close, Portsmouth, was arrested on Tuesday 17 August as part of an investigation into heroin supply in Portsmouth involving officers from Portsmouth’s High Harm Team and the Eastern Criminal Investigation Department. The investigation linked him to a local drugs network. On arrest, Class A and Class B drugs worth £1,900, £390 in cash, drugs paraphernalia and two mobile phones were seized.
Previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis possession and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Ryan Playford

Ryan Playford, aged 48, of The Farthings, Warsash, Fareham, was heavily involved in the supply of large amounts of cocaine and cannabis in the UK and Europe. He used encrypted devices like Encrochat, which was taken down in Operation Venetic. Messages showed involvement in drug supply and money laundering via property in the Netherlands. He also planned to report his Mercedes as stolen after 15 May 2020.
Pleaded guilty on 14 September to conspiring to supply cocaine and cannabis; also pleaded guilty today to encouraging or assisting firearms offence and fraud by false representation. Nine years and nine months for cocaine conspiracy, six years for cannabis conspiracy, one year for fraud (concurrent); five years and three months for firearms offence (consecutive).

Richard John Dexter met the victim via a dating app in May 2015 and established a trusting relationship. He deceived her into making high-value payments totalling £121,000 into his bank account over 14 months, plus a further £20,000, for non-existent biopharmaceutical technology schemes including patent catalogues and equipment development. He provided fake and doctored documents to officers, perverting the course of justice. Offences occurred between 1 May 2015 and 24 May 2017.
Pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud by false representation, one count of perverting the course of justice and one count of possessing an article for use in fraud.

Rumi Chhapia, of Lennox Road North, Southsea, a former GP employed as clinical director for the Portsmouth Primary Care Alliance (PPCA), defrauded the organisation of £1,133,704.50 over 41 days from 21st August 2020 to 28th September 2020 across 64 transactions by transferring money from the Alliance’s account into two of his own private accounts whilst he had temporary access to the business’s bank account. He initially claimed to be a victim of hacking but later admitted responsibility following a voluntary interview.
Pleaded guilty to fraud by abuse of position. Former GP and clinical director for Portsmouth Primary Care Alliance.
Michelle Jewell

Michelle Jewell, 42, of no fixed abode, entered a flat on Clarence Road, Gosport, on 1 December 2021, where she stole two wallets belonging to a man in his 80s. Bank cards from these wallets were then used by Jewell to purchase goods at local shops. Following an investigation led by the Operation Hawk team, Jewell was arrested and charged.
Admitted burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation at Portsmouth Crown Court on Thursday 13 January 2022.

Michael John Smith entered a garage at a property on Locksway Road shortly after 11am, reported on 25 September, taking a pair of gardening gloves before breaking into the house via a dog flap in the back door. Several items were stolen including jewellery worth more than £7000. The items were later recovered.

Nicholas Dowse

21 months imprisonment suspended for 2 years, 200 hours unpaid community work, £1,200 prosecution costs, £100 victim surcharge
Between April 2012 and September 2013, while running Harmsworth Estate Agents in Portsmouth, Dowse withheld £1,430 of tenants’ deposits, £15,251 of rent and £13,206 of service charges. The agent withdrew the funds from his business to fund extravagant holidays to Las Vegas and Egypt. While Dowse and his wife were away, employees of the agency were left to deal with unpaid bills and an outstanding £4,000 water bill. Dowse lied to employees that they had been paid and told staff to lie to landlords and tenants that he was ill rather than on holiday.
Pleaded guilty to ten counts of fraud. Judge Roger Hetherington commented: “You abused your position by defrauding clients in the main who were landlords of properties.”
Mark Anthony Roberts

Mark Anthony Roberts, of Stonebeach Rise, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, raped a 22-year-old woman at a residential property in Gosport in October 2016. The victim reported the rape in November 2020 at Fareham Police Station.
Will also have to sign the sex offenders register for life. The judge described the victim as ‘heroic’ for coming forward and reporting the non-recent offence.

Gross indecency with a girl under 14 and indecent assault on a girl under 14 *

Austin abused two girls in 1986, when they were aged five and seven. The victims reported the abuse to police in 2020, leading to a thorough investigation. He was charged with four counts of gross indecency with a girl under 14 years of age and two counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14 years of age.
Pleaded not guilty but found guilty by a jury of six offences. Required to serve an additional year on licence.
Martyn Mcghee

Martyn McGhee, aged 54, of International Way, Weston, Southampton, worked for Playford as a courier and was involved in a large scale cocaine deal in Leeds on 21 May 2020. He used an encrypted device to communicate with Playford. Both arrested on 7 July 2023.
Pleaded guilty to conspiring with Playford to supply cocaine.
Mareus Grigore

On Saturday 6 June 2020, Mareus Grigore was involved in a physical and violent altercation at an address on Manners Road, Southsea, just before midnight with members of a multi-occupancy property. A 32-year-old man from Southsea was confronted and assaulted by Grigore and another man following an argument. The victim was struck in the face with an axe causing a deep laceration.
Found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Ordered to serve 12 months concurrently for affray.
Levi Seriki-Walters

Levi Seriki-Walters physically assaulted and raped a woman in her 20s, known to him, in a commercial car park near The Anchorage in Gosport at around 1.40am on 27 August 2020. Witnesses heard her crying for help and found her in a distressed state. He was seen on CCTV chasing her from the scene, and forensic evidence confirmed the rape.
Denied the offence and went to trial. Jury found him guilty after deliberating for approximately two and a half hours.
Louis Alan Bibby
Section 18 wounding with intent and dwelling burglary *

Louis Alan Bibby committed a serious assault on Fawcett Road on October 28 2020, where a man in his 30s sustained a head injury; he was charged with Section 18 wounding with intent. He also committed a burglary at an address on Exmouth Road on December 17 2020, gaining access via the front door between 3am and 3.45am and stealing a wallet containing credit and debit cards (one used later), a PS4, a mobile phone, a Galaxy Note and a Google Nest Hub Max. He was identified via forensic examination, Ring Doorbell footage and CCTV.
Pleaded guilty to burglary. Sentenced to four and a half years for the assault and an additional two years and five months for the burglary.
Stephen Mcdermott
Indecent assault on a male *

Stephen McDermott, of Frosthole Close, Fareham, abused three boys on a number of occasions between 1983 and 2005 in Portsmouth and Havant. The abuse came to the attention of police when one of the victims reported it in May 2020. Two further victims came forward shortly afterwards. An investigation was launched and McDermott was arrested and later charged.
Pleaded guilty to the offences at a court appearance on January 10th this year. Given a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order, which prohibits him from making any contact with children under 16 and using electronic devices to contact children.
Shaun Healy
Assault by penetration of a girl under 13; Rape of a girl under 13 *

Shaun Healy, aged 73, sexually abused a girl over a four-year period between 2016 and 2020, with the assaults beginning when the child was under the age of 13. Police were contacted about the abuse in March 2020, and following an investigation Healy was charged with 4 counts of assault by penetration of a girl under 13 and rape of a girl under 13.
Denied the charges but was found guilty of all offences following a trial. Formerly of Maynard Close in Gosport.

Zackery Stephen Bell

On December 6 2020, Bell attended the address of a victim in her 20s in Waterlooville in relation to a Facebook Marketplace advert, forcibly kissed her and touched her inappropriately over her clothing before being disturbed and leaving; he later messaged her to meet again. While on bail, in the early hours of Boxing Day, he entered the bedroom of a woman he knew in Chichester while she slept and sexually assaulted her, prompting her to shout at him to leave.
Pleaded guilty to sexual assault. Four years for the Sussex offence and two for the Hampshire offence. Sexual Harm Prevention Order for ten years, lifetime Restraining Order relating to both victims, sex offender register for life.
Timothy Cale
Causing death by careless driving *

In 2022, 59-year-old Timothy Cale reversed a Land Rover from New Barn Lane onto Shorwell Main Road near a blind bend on the Isle of Wight at a 40-degree angle, striking Professor Simon McQueen-Mason, a University of York academic cycling downhill at the 30mph limit. The collision caused devastating injuries leading to the professor's death at the scene. Cale drove away with a smashed rear windscreen, claiming it was caused by a falling tree branch, and later returned denying wrongdoing.
Convicted by unanimous jury verdict after six-day trial in November. Maintained in court that his driving was not careless.
Timothy Morgan
Possession of Class A drug with intent to supply *

Arrested with Henry Thomas Henderson on 8 September 2016 in the Newport area of the Isle of Wight. Search of Henderson’s address and Morgan’s vehicle recovered drugs worth £2million including high purity heroin and cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, amphetamine and khat, suspected for Bestival weekend.
Convicted in absence of four counts of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, two counts of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, and two counts of possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply following a trial.
Stuart Lionel Cosgrave

In 2018, while in a relationship with the victim, a woman in her 40s, Cosgrave committed sexual offences including rape and assault by penetration. Videos of the assaults were found on his mobile phones, seized during his arrest for burglary and harassment. The victim confirmed her identity in the footage.
Pleaded guilty to assaulting a female by penetration and rape.

On Monday, 4 October, following a suspected drugs deal in Percy Road, Southsea, officers searched an address where Tayo Odunukan was located in a bedroom with a quantity of suspected Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and a Nokia phone. The phone held a drug line used to send marketing messages advertising the sale of Class A drugs.
Pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at an earlier hearing.
